This study examined the relationships among maternal psychological life position, involvement in child-rearing and children's emotional intelligence. The subjects were 267 four and five-year-old children and their mothers from five child care centers located in Seoul. Children's emotional intelligence was assessed by the teacher rating scale developed by Kin(1998) and questionnaires were used to assess the maternal psychological life position and involvement in child-rearing. Data was analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Results demonstrated a correlation between the level of the children's emotional intelligence and their gender and age. The strongest predictor of children's emotional intelligence was the child's age.

A rigid-viscoplastic finite element method has been used for modeling superplastic stretch/blow process design to improve thickness distribution. Punch velocity-time relationship of the stretch forming and pressure-time cycle of the blow forming for a given strain rate are calculated. A superplastic material is assumed to be isotropic and a plane-strain line element based on membrane approximation is employed for the formulation. The effects of the width, corner radius and height of the punch during stretch forming are examined for the final thickness distribution, and the process design to improve thickness distribution can be established.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the relationships among social support (network, composition, and satisfaction), stress, and loneliness in migrant Yanbian Korean workers. Method: Data were collected by using Social Support Questionnaire 6, Visual Analogue Scale, and the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. Result: Results indicate that means for social support were 1.52 for network size and 4.83 for satisfaction. The proportion percentage of network for kin members was 67.37. Subjects felt the moderate level of stress and loneliness. The level of loneliness was negatively related to the level of social support. Conclusion: This study showed that there is necessity to reduce stress and loneliness among migrant Yanbian Korean workers. Adequate social support satisfaction is crucial to reduce the level of loneliness in migrant Yanbian Korean workers.

This paper describes a process of developing commercial real time image recognition system with company. In this paper we will make a system that is combining an empirical kernel map method and conjugate least squares support vector machine in order to represent images in a low-dimensional subspace for real time image recognition. In the traditional approach calculating these eigenspace models, known as traditional PCA method, model must capture all the images needed to build the internal representation. Updating of the existing eigenspace is only possible when all the images must be kept in order to update the eigenspace, requiring a lot of storage capability. Proposed method allows discarding the acquired images immediately after the update. By experimental results we can show that empirical kernel map has similar accuracy compare to traditional batch way eigenspace method and more efficient in memory requirement than traditional one. This experimental result shows that proposed model is suitable for commercial real time image recognition system.

Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) insulator has a higher performance than porcelain. It is only used in domestic AC 25 kV electric railway system. Seoul Metro has developed DC 1500 V FRP insulator since 2008. FRP support insulator of flexible property is affected by the wind in tunnel. A wind tunnel test was carried out to measure influence on the insulator housing when the train passed by. The test results showed that the wind which is resulted from the passing train had a little impact on the FRP insulator shed movements.

Electric vehicles have reached a new level of development with introductions by Chrysler, Ford, Honda and Toyota. Today's charging technology includes conductive and inductive charging systems. There are three standardized charging levels: Level 1: charging can be done from a standard, grounded AC 120V, 3-prong outlet available in all homes; Level 2: charging is at AC 240V, 40 amp charging station with special consumer features to make it easy and convenient to plug in and charge EVs at home or at an EV charging station; Level 3: a high-powered charging "fast charge" technology currently under development that will provide a charge in less than 15 minutes. The incoming AC power is converted to DC and stored in the vehicle's batteries. In this paper, we investigated the application of urban railway DC electric power for electric car charging system.

The vocal fold has three major function-phonation, respiration and protection, and is richly innervated. The vocal 1314 its autonomic innervation-adrenergic and cholinergic from superior cervical ganglion and the vagus nerve, respectively. The action of both system account for vasoregulation and glandular activity. In e vocal fold several kin of neuropeptides, including SP, CGRP, VIP, TH, NPY, ENK have been reported at the animal including cat or dog. But information regarding the distribution of autonomic nerve fibers containing neuropeptides in the human vocal fold is lacking. Two neuropeptides are of special interest : 1) vasoactive intestinal polypeptide(VIP)that is known to be contained in the parasympathetic(cholinergic) neuron. 2) tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)is located in the cytoplasm of noradrenergic neuron and is the rate-limiting enzyme in noradrenaline synthesis. To understand specific autonomic function of vocal fold we did immunohistochemical examination of VIP and TH in the human vocal fold.

The development of low rolling resistance tire with weight reduction in tire and vehicle may induce high level of tire/road noise, especially the rumble road noise on rough road. In this paper, the design factor for good rumble noise is considered in view of tire and vehicle. For the 3 mid-sized sedans, the rumble noise is very sensitive to the test vehicle. And it is concluded that the tire with high tread part stiffness and low sidewall part stiffness shows best rumble noise performance, and the rumble noise is in trade-off relation with cavity resonance noise. So, it is desirable to select and change proper construction design factors to have good tire/vehicle rumble noise.

The purpose of this exploratory study was to investigate how the information society affected the attitude about the family/kinship life of Netizen. For this goal, the data were collected from 305 Netizen who use the Internet. The major findings were as follows. Firstly, In Netizen, the support to familism and boy preference was low level. Secondly, in their altitude to the divorce and remarriage, there was a tendency which accepts a marriage with selection. Thirdly, they had a tendency to agree equal partnership in couple relationship. Fourthly, virtual community in cyber-space was found, but the loyalty of members was not enough strong. Fifthly, in the family/kin rites, it was showed non-traditional tendency. And in all aspects, some differences were found between men and women. The findings of the present study suggest that the couple relationship in the information society becomes more important, and there is a tend to increase acceptability to increase. In contrast, there is stiff another discrimination in cyber-space by focusing on traditional mother route.
