The purpose of study is to measure nurses' empathy levels and to examine the effects of their empathy levels on their life and job satisfaction. The questionnaire was administrated to 150 nurses working in hospitals in Busan. The questionnaire consists of three factors : empathy level, life satisfaction, and job satisfaction. Nurses are classed into two : shift work nurse and non-shift work nurse by their work type. 144 out of 150 questionnaires were used for the analysis with IBM SPSS Statistics 21. The shift work nurses with higher empathy levels showed higher job satisfaction. The non-shift work nurses with higher empathy level revealed higher life satisfaction. Interestingly, while empathy level had positive effects on shift work nurses' job satisfaction(${\beta}=.282$, p=.006), it also had impact on non-shift work nurses' life satisfaction positively(${\beta}=.252$, p=.048). As results show, nurses' life and job satisfaction were positively related to their empathy levels. Given the fact that lack of nurses' empathy often lead to conflicts with patients, in order to improve nurses' job performance, we need a new perspective of understanding the important role of empathy in nurses' job satisfaction and life satisfaction.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to test the prescribed mediating effect of a sense of job oppression by considering the relationship between emotional labor and work satisfaction. Methods: This study was carried out using the data published in 2016 by the Korea Labor & Society Institute in An Investigation of Quality of Life and the Working Environment in the Service Industry. The data were collected from 638 workers at department stores. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression with Baron and Kenny steps for mediation. Results: After investigating the mediating effect of a sense of job oppression in the relationship between emotional labor and work satisfaction, it was confirmed that the effect was partially meaningful. It was also determined that the greater the intensity of their emotional labor was, the lower was their satisfaction with their working life. Additionally, the workers felt that the greater their sense of job oppression, the lower was their sense of satisfaction with work. Conclusions: In order to increase work satisfaction, it is required for guidelines for reducing job oppression and the intensity of emotional labor to be proposed or established.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating effect of leisure satisfaction on the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. Methods: A cross-sectional study was performed with 292 nurses having experienced shift work at least for 6 months. Data were collected from August to September in 2014. Descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis were performed. Results: The study showed that job satisfaction was significantly correlated with job stress (r=.-320, p<.001) and leisure satisfaction (r=.317, p<.001). Leisure satisfaction had a significant moderating effect on the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction (F=25.087, p<.001). Conclusion: This study concluded that the role of leisure satisfaction may moderate the relationship between the two. That is, the nurses who perceived higher satisfaction on their leisure life tend to have higher satisfaction to their job even in stress situation. Therefore, the strategies for improving leisure satisfaction are needed to increase job satisfaction in stressful conditions.

Economic factors are important in improving life satisfaction of disabled people. In addition, the impact of job satisfaction on life satisfaction has been verified. However, according to Herzberg's motivation-hygiene theory, hygiene factors such as wages only lowers dissatisfaction and does not directly affect job satisfaction. This study raises questions about Herzberg's theory and seeks to confirm through empirical analysis. Based on data from the 2017 Employment Panel Survey for the Disabled, this study seeks to answer analyzes whether hygiene factors proposed by Herzberg affect the job satisfaction of disabled people or not. Furthermore, this study proposes what regional policies are needed to enhance job satisfaction for the disabled. An analysis of structural equation model showed that hygiene factors such as working environment, interpersonal relationship and personal life directly affect the disabled worker's job satisfaction. In addition, through hierarchical linear model analysis, it was confirmed that local governments ought to provide education supports to the disabled workers in order to improve their job satisfactions.

The purposes of this study were to identify the factors that affect the life satisfaction of unmarried one-person households and to examine how these factors influence this population. This study targeted 308 unmarried one-person households. The results found the following: one-person households without marriage experience had higher levels of job stress than one-person households with marriage experience, and the level of differentiation of family projections was lower; the overall level of life satisfaction was higher in one-person households without marriage experience than in one-person households with marriage experience; in one-person households without marriage experience, higher life satisfaction correlated with higher levels of self-integration, family projection processes, and family retirement differentiation, and lower job stress, which was correlated with higher self-control ability, higher evaluation and higher material support; and life satisfaction was found to be higher in unmarried one-person households that received more information and had a lower age, lower job stress, and higher monthly income. First, the higher factors of job satisfaction (the teaching consciousness, development, innovation, autonomy, fellowship, and reward), the higher the teacher-children interaction. The higher the workload, the lower the verbal interaction between teacher-children. Second, the higher the life satisfaction of kindergarten teachers, the higher the emotional, verbal, and behavioral interaction between teachers and children. Third, the relative influences of the predictors on the overall interaction between teacher and children are life satisfaction (β=.24), development (β=.22), and fellowship (β=.16) and the explained variance are 25%.
This study analyzes educational panel on the relationship between college life and job satisfaction of women college graduates. Higher college satisfaction increases job satisfaction of women workers with college degrees. Job training programs increase job satisfaction. However, job satisfaction relative to her skills and competency becomes lower when they complete a number of job training programs. Moreover, English education and job training programs exert positive influences over the effects of college satisfaction on job satisfaction of women workers with college degrees. Thus, although there are conflicting aspects, job training programs have potentials to contribute to the job satisfaction. The results of the study suggest that college life is closely related with their job experiences. However, Korean society neglects the importance of college relative to four-year university. Thus, Korean society exerts efforts toward enhancing the educational quality of college education.
The purpose of this study is intended to identify the mediated moderating effect including the mediating effect of job satisfaction and moderating effect of job expectations in the relation between work value, job satisfaction, In this study, the mediating effect of job satisfaction and job preference on the relationship between job value and quality of life were investigated. Since the mediated moderation model is an integrated model that includes mediating and moderating effects, the mediating effect, the moderating effect, and the mediated moderation effect were sequentially verified. As a result of the study, first, it was confirmed that the mediating effect model through job satisfaction was statistically significant. Next, it was confirmed that job value had a statistically significant effect on life satisfaction through the direct path and the indirect path through job satisfaction as a mediating variable. Third, it was confirmed that the moderated mediating effect model of job preference through job satisfaction was statistically significant.
