Effects of Work Environment on Job Satisfaction and Spontaneity Care Workers at Social Welfare Facilities

  • Purpose - This purpose of this research is to verify the influence of the care workers' environment on their job satisfaction and on their voluntary behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - Data were collected from care workers at elderly medical and home care facilities in Korea in Seoul and Kyung-ki. Of 367 total respondents, 285 responses were used. This study performed exploratory factor analysis in order to verify the validity and credibility of the data. Regression analysis was conducted to verify the influence of the working environment, which encompasses the worker's relationship with the agency and with the elderly, on job satisfaction. Results - The hypothesis results were: First, from analyzing the influence of the working environment on the worker's job satisfaction, both relationship with the agency (p<.001) and relationship with the elderly (p<.05) positively affect job satisfaction; second, the exploratory analysis verifies the influence or the working environment on job satisfaction. Conclusions - The results indicate that the relationship with the agency (p<.001) and relationship with the elderly (p<.001) both positively affect the voluntary behavior of the workers.

남자간호사의 간호업무환경 및 직무공정성과 직무만족과의 관련성 (The Relationship among Practice Environment, Organizational Justice, and Job Satisfaction of Male Nurses)

  • Purpose: This cross-sectional descriptive study was to explore the relationship among practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction of male nurses. Methods: Subjects were 115 male nurses who were the member of the Korean man nurses association, and they were asked to complete self-administration questionnaires via internet site for this survey which included nurse's practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN version 21.0 software. Results: The mean scores of the nurse's practice environment, organizational justice, and job satisfaction were 2.9, 3.0, 3.1 out of 5 Likert scale respectively. The job satisfaction was positively correlated with the nurse's practice environment (r=.70, p<.001) and organizational justice (r=.78, p<.001). The job satisfaction was affected by procedure-related justice, interpersonal justice, adequacy of staffing and resources in nursing work environment, compensation justice, and good healthy status. These variables explained 68.6% of male nurse's job satisfaction. Conclusion: This finding suggest that suitable organization management for male nurses are necessary through improvement of practice environment and organizational justice in hospital.

피부미용사의 직무환경 및 직업존중감이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Job Environment and Job Esteem on Job Satisfaction in Skin Beauticians)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 피부미용업 종사자들의 직무만족도에 대해 직무환경 및 직업존중감이 미치는 영향을 연구하고자 서울 및 경기지역 피부미용실에 재직중인 20~50대 성인 여성 470여명을 대상으로 피부미용사의 특성 및 직무환경, 직업존중감, 직무만족도를 분석하였다. 첫째, 피부미용사들의 직무환경이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면, 직무만족도의 하위요인 직업적 긍지 만족도, 소속감 및 기여도, 임금 및 복지에 상대적으로 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 피부관리샵의 휴게시설이나 휴식공간을 적절히 보장하고, 안전 및 위생관리를 철저히 하는 등 근무조건을 개선해야 함을 시사한다. 둘째, 직업존중감이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보면, 독립변수별로 사회적 평가, 자기(내재적)평가, 미래가치, 자아성취지향이 높아지면 직무만족도의 하위요인들이 상승하는 것으로 나타났다. 이것은 피부관리사의 사회적 인식을 제고할 수 있도록 전문가로서 대우하는 것이 중요한 요인임을 시사한다. 직무환경의 하위요인인 근무조건, 조직환경, 직업안정성과 직업존중감의 하위요인인 사회적 평가, 자기(내재적)평가, 미래가치, 자아성취지향이 직무만족도의 하위요인에 각각 중요한 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타나, 직무만족도를 높이기 위해서는 직무환경 하위요인들의 전반적인 개선과 더불어 직업존중감의 현재가치에 해당하는 사회적평가, 자기(내재적)평가, 자아성취지향은 물론 미래가치 역시 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 연구결과를 통해 피부미용실 경영자들이 피부미용사의 직무만족도를 높이기 위한 인력관리방안의 기초자료를 제공하여 피부미용업 발전에 기여하고자 한다.

잡 크래프팅(Job Crafting)이 경력만족 및 직무만족에 미치는 영향 - 개인-직무 적합성의 매개효과 - (The Effect of Job Crafting on Career Satisfaction and Job Satisfaction - Mediating Effect of Person-Job fit -)

  • This study analyzes the effect of job crafting behavior on career satisfaction and job satisfaction that allows active participants to perform their jobs in a work environment where autonomy and delegation are emphasized, and how the degree of person-job fit plays a role in the relationship between the three variables. The results of an empirical analysis of 360 employees of domestic companies are as follows. First, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on career satisfaction and job satisfaction, respectively, confirming the importance of job crafting in a situation where the work environment changes rapidly. Second, job crafting was found to have a positive (+) effect on desire-supply fit and ability-demand fit, respectively, which are components of person-job fit. This means that person-job fit can be improved through task, cognitive, and relationship crafting. Third, it was found that desire-supply fit and ability-demand fit had a positive (+) effect on career satisfaction and job satisfaction. This means that the higher the person-job fit the more satisfied the career and job. Finally, desire-supply fit has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between job crafting, career satisfaction, and job satisfaction and ability-demand fit has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between job crafting, job satisfaction. In summarizing the above research results, this study suggested in a changing organizational environment that it is necessary to provide individual active work performance (job crafting) opportunities for career satisfaction and job satisfaction, and that it is important to create an organization's support environment to enhance person-job fit.

병원간호사의 간호근무환경과 직무 스트레스가 건강문제에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Nursing Work Environment and Job Stress on Health Problems of Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of nursing work environment and job stress on health problems of hospital nurses. Methods: The subjects were 200 nurses working in S general hospital in Gyeongnam, and the data were collected using organized questionnaire from Jan 10 to 25, 2015. The Korean version of the practice environment scale of nursing work index, the instrument for job stress, and the Korean version of Todie Health Index for health problem were used for measurement. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression. Results: The nursing work environment was found to be slightly negative, and the job stress was found to be high. There were significant correlation among nursing work environment, job stress, and health problems. In addition, it showed that the nursing work environment and job stress of nurses were factors affecting their health problems. Conclusion: The nursing work environment and job stress are influencing factors on the health problems of hospital nurses. Multi-faceted efforts to create a positive nursing work environment are required. Further researches related to association between the nursing work environment and health problem of nurses are needed.

밀레니얼 세대 간호사의 간호근무환경, 직무 착근도, 직업존중감이 재직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Millennials Generation Nurse's Nursing Work Environment, Job Embeddedness and Job Esteem on Retention Intention)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of the nursing work environment, job embeddedness, and job esteem on the retention intention in the millennial generation nurses. The subjects of this study are nurses working in general hospitals with more than 300 beds. Among nurses born in the 1980s and early 2000s, 97 agreed to study. As a result of the study, there was a significant difference in academic background.(F=6.74, p=.002) In terms of final education, those with graduate or higher were higher than those with three-year graduation and four-year graduation Retention intention is the degree of job placement (r=.319, p=.001), job respect (r=.331, p=.001) had a positive relationship with the nursing working environment (r=-.252, p=.013) was negatively correlated. Factors affecting the retention intention is 12.9% explanatory skills as a result of the introduction of job embeddedness, nursing work environment, and job esteem. It is necessary to understand the characteristics of the generation in order to increase the retention intention as a millennial generation nurse.

  • This current research investigated whether job stress mediates the relationship between physical environment and safety behavior of members in organization. Furthermore, we hypothesized that safety climate functions as moderator between physical environment-job stress link. In order to examine the hypotheses, 870 employees in various fields of companies were sampled. Using structural equation modeling(SEM), we conducted moderated mediation model analysis which cab elaborately test the significance of our hypotheses. The results showed that job stress mediated the link between physical environment and safety behavior of members. Moreover, the relationship between physical environment and job stress was moderated by safety climate. The implications and limitations of our study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

관광호텔 CEO의 리더십이 종사원 직무 만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of CEO Leadership on Employees' Job Satisfaction in Tourist Hotels)

  • This study examines the effects of CEO leadership on Employees' job satisfaction in tourist hotels. Samples were the employees working at 10 deluxe hotels in Seoul and a total of 300 copies of the questionnaire were distributed, among which 191 valid ones were used for the analysis. After data cording, answers were processed by SPSS 12.0. As a result of the factor analysis on CEO leadership, 3 factors(management style, settlement style, and work style) were extracted; for employees' job satisfaction, 3 factors(work environment, service environment, and job environment) were extracted. As the results of the study, management style and work style among CEO leadership factors have a statistically positive impact on work environment. Next, management style has a statistically positive impact on service environment. Finally, management style and work style has a statistically positive impact on job environment.

요양보호사의 직무환경에 따른 직무스트레스와 소진이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Job Stress and Burnout by Job Environment of Care-givers on Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구는 노인장기요양기관 종사자인 요양보호사들의 직무환경과 관련된 속성 및 스트레스와 소진을 파악하고 이들 요인이 직무만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 효과를 분석하여 요양보호사의 조직업무를 향상시켜 노인의 삶의 질과 노인복지 발전에 도움이 되는데 목적을 갖고 연구하였다. 연구대상은 전북 군산시에 소재한 노인장기요양기관(요양시설, 재가노인복지시설)에 근무하는 요양보호사 129명을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과 요양보호사의 직무환경의 하위요인으로 인적환경과 보상체계, 업무전문성 등이 직무소진, 직무스트레스, 직무만족에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 요인임을 실증시켜 주었다. 이는 그만큼 인적환경을 위한 업무전문성 및 능력과 혁신적 사고를 가진 업적에 비례한 보상체계가 잘 되어 있을수록 긍정적인 관계 형성과 동시 직무소진과 스트레스의 감소 및 직무만족이 향상됨을 의미한다. 이는 최근 장기요양을 위한 노인성 환자의 급증과 장기요양기관에서의 요양보호사의 역할과 직무가 중요시되는 현실에 비추어 볼 때 전문직으로서의 다양한 복지 수혜적 봉사자로서의 요양보호사들의 직무환경 개선을 위한 직무전문화 보장과 이들 직무능력에 따른 적절한 보상시스템의 체계화가 필요시 됨을 시사한 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 직업에 대한 자긍심이 높은 전문 인력의 배출과 참여로 요양보호사의 잦은 직무소진과 스트레스를 낮출 수 있는 경감요인을 찾아 제거함으로써 보다 많은 인력의 참여와 조직헌신을 통한 직무만족 극대화를 통해 조직몰입을 높일 수 있을 것이다.

KTX기장의 개인-환경적합성이 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of KTX Driver's Person-Environment Fit on Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Turnover Intention)

  • 본 연구는 KTX기장의 개인-환경(직무,조직,동료)적합성이 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향과 개인-환경적합성과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무만족과 조직몰입의 매개효과를 실증분석 하였다. 분석결과, 개인-환경적합성은 직무만족, 조직몰입 및 이직의도에 대부분 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 개인-직무적합성은 직무만족에, 개인-동료적합성은 직무만족과 이직의도에 각각 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 직무만족 및 조직몰입의 매개효과 또한 대부분 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 개인-조직적합성과 이직의도간의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 KTX기장의 이직의도를 파악하고 이를 예방하기 위해서는 전반적인 개인-환경적합성을 높임은 물론, 직무만족과 조직몰입 향상방안 마련이 중요하다는 사실을 시사하고 있다.
