Five and above engineering courses were selected from each of exemplary international MOOC platforms, and common e-learning design strategies were drawn out through observing the courses and analyzing the course elements. By finding out both macro(platform) and micro(content) levels of designing strategies, this study suggests the direction for designing engineering courses incorporating e-learning nationally. The major trend of current e-learning design is to provide bite-sized contents rapidly created and to deploy instructional strategies for promoting student participation in learning and diverse and contextualized learning experiences.

Capacity building for bioinformatics could be achieved with the systematic training of research staff and higher degree students in the current best practices for analysis of data from 'omic-type experiments. It is anticipated that the KOICA-University of the Philippines Los Baños - International Rice Research Insitute Agricultural Genomics Research Center activities will focus on the use of next generation sequencing technology for genome sequencing and annotation, genome variant discovery for use in GWAS and QTL mapping, and transcriptome analysis of organisms important to agriculture and food security. Such activities require that researchers have high levels of knowledge and skills in bioinformatics in order to gain insights from the results of the experiments performed. In this talk the bioinformatic tools/solutions and online training materials already available will be presented, as well the upcoming resources under development in support of the project.

The successful knowledge and information based companies facilitate to restructure the industry and strengthen the national competitiveness in the future. The advent of information age provides us new challenge because the information breakthrough can play a pivotal role in terms of knowledge transfer in the human resource management. This research focuses on best practices of human management and contrasting the human resource strategy of Japanese and American firms respectively, Based on this, we suggest the strategic alternatives of the described HR problems as well as the way of effective human resource management for Korean venture firms. We have reviewed the previous international and domestic literatures in details to understand HR liabilities of newness of venture firms in terms of the population ecology. The objective of this research is to solve the HR problems that Korean firms faced with.

This study investigated the allowance usage practices and factors affecting saving behavior from 291 elementary school students in Susan. Frequency distributions, Pearson product-moment correlations, and logistic regression analysis were conducted by SPSS Windows. Two-fifths of the respondents did not regularly receive allowance. Many parents did not guide what children spent their money on before using it. Children spent their allowances on buying snacks, stationary, and playing in the game room. Only a small number of the respondents kept a record, but many children saved money. On the other hand, in the logistic regression analysis, the significant variables explaining children's saving behavior were parents' guidance before using allowance, record-keeping, and doing household work for an allowance. These results imply that parents are in the best position to give children positive experiences towards financial management.

Since 2013, Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) has introduced big data initiatively in administration and put into practices in transportation, safety, welfare in order to overcome limited resources and conflicting interests. For establishing a new midnight bus service, SMG prepared optimized midnight bus routes by analyzing big data from mobile phone Call Data Record (CDR) through collaboration with a telecommunication company. Despite of limited budget and resources, newly identified routes can cover over 42% of the citizen with 9 routes and less than 1% of buses compare with day time operation. In addition to solve transportation problem, SMG utilizes big data to resolve location selection problem for choosing new facility locations such as life double cropping centers and senior citizen leisure centers. As results, SMG demonstrates big data as a good tool to make policies and to build smarter city by overcome space-time limitation of resources, mediation of conflicts, and maximizes benefit of the citizen.

The purpose of this study is to provide a domestic applicable modular building construction process by benchmarking international best practices. In this study, we derive the risk factors that may occur in performing a modular construction projects and the modular construction management factors through case analysis. In order to effectively respond to risks in performing a modular building projects, we propose the modular building construction process which is separated by a transportation, lifting, assembly steps based on the unit module construction sequence. It is the key to providing management information and guidelines for the design, production, construction participants by reflecting the information for each step in the process. This study would prevent a potential hazard which may occur in the construction process. Consequently, It could result in saving the entire cost of modular construction project as shortening the project schedule and could improve workability of modular construction.

Change orders represent one of the largest sources of cost growth on construction projects, but an efficient change management control system can help the projects steer clear of the constant construction changes. This study was performed to achieve a better understanding of all changes and to develop a new set of Best Practices using process mapping techniques. The project data for this research were collected from case studies of aviation projects implemented in Houston, Texas at Bush Intercontinental Airport. The findings and contributions of this research should help owners and project managers determine and identify major causes that impact project budget and schedule and implement solutions prior to them surfacing.

As in more than half of the litigated cases, non-conformity of the goods is alleged by the buyer and, hence, the question aries of whether the buyer has given notice within a reasonable time and is thus allowed to rely on the lack of conformity at all, differences in interpreting the meaning of "reasonable time" in Article 39(1) CISG endanger uniformity of international sales law in a core area. This uniform interpretation of the "reasonable time" in Article 39(1) CISG can, however, not be achieved by merely making recommendations to courts and arbitral tribunals that case law from other CISG jurisdictions should be considered. This can at best lead to confusing results. As you know, the determining of reasonable time is depending on the circumstances concerned with the particular case. So the term 'reasonable time' has proven too imprecise due to its flexibility without defined uniform scale to assist the practitioners in a uniform application of Art. 39(1). Therefore I suggested the factors that influenced the determining of the reasonable time. The factors currently influencing whether an Art. 39(1) notice is given within reasonable time in international practice are: any international trade usage and practices, the nature of the remedy chosen by buyer, the nature of the goods delivered and the mode of dealing with the goods.

The paper investigates open access (OA) self archiving policies of different Open Access Repositories (OARs) of COAPI (Coalition of Open Access Policy Institutions) founder members as reported in June 2011 (i.e. a total of 22 members against a total of 46 COPAI members as reported by Open Biomed (http://openbiomed.info/2011/08/coapi-cats/). The paper consulted three databases (OpenDOAR, ROAR and ROARMAP) in order to evaluate twenty-two (22) COAPI-members OARs self archiving policy documentations and highlights of some progress on issues so far. After analyzing policy documentations, key findings have been highlighted and common practices have been suggested in line with global recommendations and best practice guidelines at national and international levels for strengthening national research systems. The paper has implications for administrators, funding agencies, policy makers and professional librarians in devising institute specific self archiving policies for their own organization.

In this paper, the first to identify in detail the direct and indirect causes of trade claims and to provide a way to prevent the causes and measures specific claims. Trade claims is not the best way to prevent in advance, measures to prevent future trade claims is as follows. First, it should be the credit investigation of the counterparts. Second, the contract must determine the rights and obligations of each other through sufficient consultation with contract and faithfully perform its contractual obligations. Third, the explicit trade arbitration clause of arbitration in the contract, and shall be a sufficient review of the procedure such as import and export, international business practices, norms and partners of economic policy, foreign exchange regulations, the trade system transactions. Finally, for it is to be treated as a one-stop strengthening the organization and function, and the Ministry of Commerce and Trade Association, and KOTRA and Trade Insurance Corporation strategic support systems, such as done by covering the work on trade claims prevention and resolution in the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board.
