  • The social network service is a online service letting users express the personality and enhancing the human network. However, these features result in side effects which diffuse personal information and make users access to treacherous information. Therefore, various access control models have been proposed. However, the access control mechanisms which encrypt data are only able to be applied for controlling access from direct node, and the access control mechanisms without data encryption allow service provider to access all the information. Moreover, both mechanisms do not consider dynamic changes in reliability of the users. In this paper, we propose relationship-based dynamic access control model including encryption of sensitive data, which consider the characteristics of SNS and improves the security of SNS.

  • Recently hospitals have divided into many divisions, specialized the medical service, and shown organic cooperation, all to provide patients with various and high quality medical service. They have also showed improvement in information protection by introducing an information protection system to regulate the access to patients' medical and personal information. The purpose of this paper is to present a case study to implement of a limited hospital medical information system that can regulate the access to medical information. For this, a router-based virtual network applying an ACL(: Access Control List) to regulate access to information was made using a packet tracer.

  • We designed a security improved document DRM for protecting document based military information which is transmitted in the military information system environment. The user should be could not access document which not related to his/her role and duty, and must view the only document appropriate for his/her role and security level according to the security level of document. We improved the security of document DRM by adding to the access control module in DRM server. Our system allows operation mode authorizations for the document, considering the user's role & security level and the security level of document. And it prevents indiscriminate access to the document and damage the confidentiality and integrity of information.

  • In the paper, we proposed an IM-ACM(Insider Misuse-Access Control Model) for preventing illegal information leakage by insider who exploits his legal rights in the ubiquitous computing environment. The IM-ACM can monitor whether insider uses data rightly using misuse monitor add to CA-TRBAC(Context Aware-Task Role Based Access Control) which permits access authorization according to user role, context role, task and entity's security attributes. It is difficult to prevent information leakage by insider because of access to legal rights, a wealth of knowledge about the system. The IM-ACM can prevent the information flow between objects which have the different security levels using context role and security attributes and prevent an insider misuse by misuse monitor which comparing an insider actual processing behavior to an insider possible work process pattern drawing on the current defined profile of insider's process.

  • Eight years have passed since the Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics (SCOAP3) was launched. SCOAP3 is one of the most successful global partnerships and funds for Open Access and has been benchmarked by other Open Access initiatives. The Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) joined as the first Asian partner in 2011, and has supported its shared vision and contributed its financial commitment since the beginning of SCOAP3. SCOAP3-Korea is the first bottom-up collaboration for local libraries to re-direct funds previously used for subscriptions to Open Access publishing. This paper explores the roles and responsibilities of KISTI in the Open Access quest. It describes the commitment to SCOAP3 in South Korea, including how the collaboration model for SCOAP3-Korea differs from the global model. This paper also discusses the impact of SCOAP3-Korea by analyzing publications affiliated by Korean authors in SCOAP3 journals for the last six years (2014-2019). We have integrated the national R&D project and research outcome data from NTIS (National Science and Technology Information Service) to investigate the research articles benefited by SCOAP3 and research publications in non-SCOAP3 journals. The positive impact of SCOAP3 in increasing research publication in the discipline was revealed compared to non-SCOAP3 journals. In addition, the financial benefit of SCOAP3-Korea has been proven. With regard to the investment for readers, $137,094 USD was saved during the SCOAP3 Phase 1 and 2, while $748,923 USD was saved with regard to publication fees. We discussed the lessons from SCOAP3-Korea for commitment to a larger-scale Open Access transition.

  • The performance of General-Purpose computation on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU) is heavily dependent on the memory access behavior. This sensitivity is due to a combination of the underlying Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) execution model present on GPUs and the lack of architectural support to handle irregular memory access patterns. Application performance can be significantly improved by applying memory-access-pattern-aware optimizations that can exploit knowledge of the characteristics of each access pattern. In this paper, we present an algorithmic methodology to semi-automatically find the best mapping of memory accesses present in serial loop nest to underlying data-parallel architectures based on a comprehensive static memory access pattern analysis. To that end we present a simple, yet powerful, mathematical model that captures all memory access pattern information present in serial data-parallel loop nests. We then show how this model is used in practice to select the most appropriate memory space for data and to search for an appropriate thread mapping and work group size from a large design space. To evaluate the effectiveness of our methodology, we report on execution speedup using selected benchmark kernels that cover a wide range of memory access patterns commonly found in GPGPU workloads. Our experimental results are reported using the industry standard heterogeneous programming language, OpenCL, targeting the NVIDIA GT200 architecture.

  • OneM2M's domain is divided into Device, Network, and Application domain, and data generated from various devices is collected through IoT/M2M gateway, it is delivered to appropriate IoT/M2M Infrastructure through Core/Access Network. However, access to the Core/Access Network is also required if the device transmit data to an Infrastructure located within the same area. In this paper, it propose data transmission based on region gateway that judge and transmit local information of data by adding a concept of region network domain to oneM2M domain, prevent access to unnecessary Core/Access Network.

  • In-band Full-duplex (IBFD) wireless communication allows improved throughput for wireless networks. The current Half-duplex (HD) medium access mechanism Request to Send/Clear to Send (RTS/CTS) has been directly applied to IBFD wireless networks. However, this is only able to support a symmetric dual link, and does not provide the full advantages of IBFD. To increase network throughput in a superior way to the HD mechanism, a novel three-way handshaking access mechanism RTS/SRTS (Second Request to Send)/CTS is proposed for point to multipoint (PMP) IBFD wireless networks, which can support both symmetric dual link and asymmetric dual link communication. In this approach, IBFD wireless communication only requires one channel access for two-way simultaneous packet transmissions. We first describe the RTS/SRTS/CTS mechanism and the symmetric/asymmetric dual link transmission procedure and then provide a theoretical analysis of network throughput and delay using a Markov model. Using simulations, we demonstrate that the RTS/SRTS/CTS access mechanism shows improved performance relative to that of the RTS/CTS HD access mechanism.

  • In this paper, LAN Access Point is realized by making out bluetooth protocol stack in Linux Kernel, porting Linux in an embeded system employed bluetooth module. Hardware for a general-purpose embeded system is designed and Linux Kernel is ported after deploying Bluetooth Module. Also, Boot loader for system booting and management is composed, and Kernel is modified to meet with the system. Finally, Ethernet devise driver is made out, and bluetooth protocol Stack and Lan Access Point are realized. The possibility of TCP/IP communication through LAN Access Point to PC employed Bluetooth module, which is considered as client, is evaluated. From the evaluation results, we can see that the performance in Telnet FTP, Web browsing through Bluetooth LAN Access Point is satisfactory.

  • The scholarly communication crisis is not a journals crisis, but rather a broader crisis in information communications. It is the loss of access to the scholarly research literature, as the rising cost of STM journal subscriptions far out-strip academic library budgets. Now, the open access as alternatives to traditional journal subscription model are emerging for STM scholarly information. There are basically three forms for OA strategies : Open Access Journals(OAJ), Author Self Archiving(ASA), Academic Institutional Repositories(AIR). This paper describes the current trends and analyses potentially serious limitations and obstacles or various issues of the OA strategies, including the notion of scholarly information as a public good, myths of free access, author pay model, holder of copyright, etc.
