아버지의 양성평등한 부모역할신념과 어머니 문지기 역할이 아버지의 놀이참여와 영아기 자녀와의 친밀감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Gender-equal Parental Role Belief of Fathers and Maternal Gatekeeping Recognized by Fathers on Their Participation in Play and Father-Infants Intimacy)

  • Objective: The aims of this study is to investigate the internal and external environment surrounding fathers and to promote play-participation with children and father-Infants Intimacy by identifying the influence of a father's belief concerning gender-equal parental role and the mother's roles as a gatekeeper. Methods: The participants of this study were 291 fathers who had infants ranging from 1-36 months of age and were living in Seoul and South Chungcheong Province. The data were collected through the questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS 24.0. Results: The main results are as follows. First, gender roles, livelihood keeper-father beliefs, importance of father rearing, and the mother's role as a doorkeeper affect the father's participation in play. This differs according to the characteristics of each type of play. Second, it was found that the father's gender roles and the mother's role as a doorkeeper had a significant effect on the intimacy between the father and the infant. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study revealed that fathers' belief in gender-equal parenting and mothers' encouragement through opening the door as gatekeepers affect the formation of intimacy between fathers and their children in infancy, and are factors that influence play participation.

신생아의 행동반응에 대한 실무교육이 간호사와 신생아와의 유희적 상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of In-service Education of Newborn's Behavior Response on the Nurse-Newborn Play Interaction)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of in-service education on the nurse-newborn play interaction. The research design adopted the pre-experimental design applied only for one pretest-posttest group and Barnard's mother-infant interaction model was used as a conceptual framework. The subjects were 26 nurses who were selected from 2 nurseries in general hospital in Pusan, and 52 healthy newborns who were after 4 days from birth during data collection period at the same hospital. The data were collected from June 1st to October 5th in 2001, by video-taping for the interactive behaviors between the nurse and the newborn, played for 5 minutes in nurseries 2 weeks before and after in-service education. The in-service education consisted of the newborn's behavior responses focused on the newborn baby's states, behavior, cues and state modulation, 3 times per 1 week, 90 minutes per 1 time, lecture, demonstration and hand out project. The experimental tool used for this research was Ha Young-Soo's Korean translation of the Maternal-Infant Play Interaction Scale by Thompson, Jody Baird, Sara Gordman, Bryant(1982), some parts of which were adapted to be suitable for the purpose of this research. Mother and baby scale by Wolke & James-Roberts(1987) was also modified and used as the criterion of nurse's perception of a newborn baby. The results of this study were as follows: 1. This result supported the major hypothesis : After the intervention of in-service education, the nurse and newborn play interaction was promoted. 2. After intervention of in-service education, the nurse perception of newborn, especially the criteria of newborn's reaction was promoted., The results of this research confirm that in-service education on the newborn's behavior responses such as states, behavior, cues and state modulation is an effective way to improve the interaction between the nurse and the baby. It elevated the nurse's sensitivities to the baby's needs. Therefore, in-service education can change the conditions of current nursing practice mostly centered on physical care into a better one in which nurses consider the emotional, social, and intellectual development stages of babies. Accordingly, in-service education contributed to promoting the effective nurse-newborn play interaction so positively.

로제 카이와(R.Caillois)의 놀이 유형에 근거한 유아용 한글 기능성 모바일 게임 연구 (A study on Hangul serious mobile game for Infant based on R. Caillois's theory)

  • 본 연구는 놀이를 학문적인 관점으로 승화시킨 로제 카이와 (R.Caillois)의 이론을 기반으로 유아의 한글 학습의 동기부여를 위한 재미 요소를 찾아보는 것으로부터 시작한다. 놀이의 궁극적 목적에는 즐거움이 수반되어야 한다. 그리고 학습은 개인의 경험에 의한 영구적인 변화를 의미하는데, 놀이와 학습, 이 두 가지 요소는 융합을 통해 교육용 기능성 게임을 연구하는 게임 기반 학습 이론 GBL(game based learning)의 중요한 요소이다. 유아가 한글 학습을 하면서 스스로 목표를 달성하기 위해서 무엇보다 중요한 것은 재미이다. 유아는 성인에 비해 집중력이 낮기 때문에 몰입을 위해 재미를 학습과 결부시키는 것은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 먼저 효과적인 놀이 특성 요소가 적용된 한글 기능성 모바일 게임 사례를 분석을 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 사례의 선정 기준으로는 사용자의 선호도를 기준삼아, 2014년 4월 22일을 시점으로 구글 안드로이드 마켓의 유아용 한글 기능성 모바일 게임 영역에서 10000개 이상 다운로드 한 게임을 토대로 다운로드 횟수와 사용자의 평가 별점에 따라 20개의 한글 모바일 기능성 게임을 선정하였다. 현재 시중에 출시되어 있는 다양한 유아용 한글 학습 놀이 콘텐츠의 사례를 R.Caillois가 제안하는 놀이의 네 가지 분류와 속성의 선행연구를 통해 아곤(Agon), 미미크리(Mimicry), 일레아(Alea), 일링크스(Ilinx)로 분석하고 그 고유의 특성과 비교하였다. 그 특성 네 가지가 한글 기능성 모바일 게임 안에서 어떠한 역할을 수행하는 지 살펴 본 결과, 선정된 사례 중 게임의 규칙과 의지가 최대로 포함된 아곤(Agon)의 유형이 가장 많은 분포를 보였으며, 각각 하나의 놀이 요소가 적용된 것보다는 네가지 놀이 특성이 고루 분포된 경우에서 유희성과 함께 높은 몰입도를 경험하게 해 주었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 유아용 한글 기능성 모바일 게임 콘텐츠가 놀이의 속성이 반영된 재미의 요소를 학습에 접목하는 기반연구가 되길 기대한다.

학습효과 증대를 위한 인공지능을 이용한 영유아 앱 설계 (Design of an Infant's App using AI for increasing Learning Effect)

  • 요즘 수많은 앱이 개발되어 보급되고 있지만 특별히 5세 이하의 영유아들을 위한 앱은 쉽게 찾을 수 없는 상황이다. 영유아들을 위한 앱은 유익하고, 안전하며, 지능발달에 도움을 줄 수 있어야 하므로 그 선택은 더욱 까다롭다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 영유아들에 요구되는 특성을 충족할 수 있는 앱 개발을 위해 학습효과 증대를 위한 인공지능 기술을 접목하여 영유아들의 지능발달에 유익한 앱을 개발하고자 한다. 제안한 앱은 영유아들이 흥미를 갖고 집중해서 반복적으로 즐길 수 있는 놀이들 모음으로 그림 맞추기, 색칠 공부, 스티커 붙이기 등으로 구성되며, 가짜 휴대전화 기능을 두어 재미있는 전화 놀이도 할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 아울러, 학습효과 증대를 위해 아이들이 놀이하는 동안 발생하는 로그 정보를 수집 분석하고 다른 또래 아이들과의 기록 공유 등을 통해 그 아이의 성향, 이해도와 숙련도 등을 파악하여 학습하고 이를 다음 놀이에 적용하여 놀이의 흥미와 집중력을 향상할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

영아의 건강증진을 위한 부모역할교육 프로그램의 효과에 관한 연구 -생후 12개월의 결과를 중심으로- (The Study on the Effects of Parent Role Education Program for infants' health promotion - Focusing on the twelve-months results -)

  • This longitudinal quasi-experimental research was conducted to develop parent role education program and to evaluate the effect of this program for mother-infant interaction, childrearing environment and infant development. The subjects were the healthy infants weighing over 2,500gm at birth, whose gestational age was more than 37weeks, and their healthy mothers. The sample consisted of eighteen mother-infant dyads for intervention group and sixteen dyads for control group. Data were collected from March 15th in 1999 to Jun 20th in 2000. The intervention group received programmed education consisted of discharge education, telephone counselling, and home visiting care. But control group were collected data without programmed education. In this study, the Nursing Child Assessment Teaching Scale(NCATS) devised by Barnard was used to determine the mother-infant interaction, HOME was used to determine the childrearing environment, and Griffiths mental development scale was used to determine the infant development. The data were analyzed using SPSS Win using chi-square test, t-test, and repeated measure ANOVA. This study was focused on the results of twelve months time point. Summaries of the results were as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in mother-infant interaction(NCATS) between intervention group and control group. But both of two groups showed significantly higher in interaction score at twelve months than at six months in the subscales of social-emotional growth fostering, and responsiveness to caregiver. 2. There was no significant difference in childrearing environment(HOME) between two groups at twelve months. But when each subscale of HOME was examined, intervention group showed higher scores in the dimensions of maternal involvement with child(p=.001), and maternal emotional-verbal responsivity(p=.048). 3. There was no significant difference in GQ of the Griffiths mental development scale between two groups, although significant difference was found in performance subscale. 4. Infant development at twelve months showed significant correlation with mother-infant interaction and childrearing environment at six months, although mother-infant interaction and childrearing environment at twelve months did not show significant correlations with infant development at twelve months. 5. Developmental scores at six months showed significant correlations with variety in daily stimulation, and mother's emotional, verbal responsivity, whereas developmental scores at twelve months showed significant correlations with acceptance of child behavior at six months, and appropriate play material at twelve months. In conclusion, the maternal education program for primipara showed long term effect in some categories in organizing the childrearing environment, and fostering the infant development. We suggest further study and implications of parent role education program for high risk parents such as parents in low economic status or with premature babies.

어린이집 교사의 개정 누리과정 교육 경험과 인식에 관한 탐색 (Exploration of the Revised Nuri Curriculum Education Experience and Perceptions of Childcare Center Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집 교사의 2019 개정 누리과정 놀이중심 교육 경험의 실제와 인식을 구체적으로 파악하여 유아교육 현장의 현실적 지원 정책을 마련하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현 누리과정 교육 경험이 있는 서울 및 경기도 소재 어린이집 교사를 대상으로 개별 심층면담을 실시하였으며, 수집한 자료는 Hatch(2002)의 유형적 분석과 해석적 분석 그리고 Seidman(2006)의 면담 자료분석을 사용하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과 첫째, 유치원과 어린이집은 동일한 통합 개정 누리과정을 적용하고 있지만, 어린이집은 보육적 관점과 안전을 더 고려한 교육을 지향하고 있다. 둘째, 교사들은 유아들이 주체가 되는 자기주도적인 열린 놀이활동 연계과정에서 교육적 매칭에 어려움이 존재하였다. 셋째, 교사들의 놀이활동에 대한 교육적 이해와 가치 파악 능력은 유아 상호작용 및 유대관계 성장에 기여한다. 결론적으로 현 누리과정의 효과적인 교육 시행을 위한 교사교육과 교류지원 그리고 유아비율 조정의 국가적 정책 방안이 시급하다.

모아상호작용 관련 간호연구 분석 (An Analysis of Nursing Research related to the Mother-Child Interaction in Korea)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identified patterns and trend of studies and to analyzed the nursing research related to the mother-child interaction in Korea and to improve direction of nursing research in mother-child interaction in Korea. Method: The research studies related to the mother-child interaction were selected from the Korean Nurses Academic Society Journal, and from dissertation, which were conducted between 1961 and 2002 with the consideration of the condition and the cultural specialty of Korea. The total numbers of the studies were 34. These studies were classified according to 1)time of publication or presentation, 2)research design, 3)type of interaction objects, 4)measurement tool, and 5)chief content of studies. Ressult: 1) Until 1984, there was no research studies related to mother-child interaction. The number of studies on the mother-child interaction on the mother-child interaction has been increased rapidly after 1985. The mother-child interaction studies were 13(38.2%) from the doctoral dissertation, 4(11.8%) from the Master's theses and 17(50%) other papers were published in academic journals. 2) Experimental studies of research design was used in these research studies was 13(38.2%). Descriptive studies was 8(23.6%), correlational studies was 4(11.8%) and comparative studies was 4(11.8%). Qualitative study was just one(2.9%) and literature review was 4(11.8%). Especially experimental studies has been increased. 3) Participants of these studies were mother and infant 29(85.5%), father and infant 2(5.9%), mother and fetus 2(5.9%) and nurse and infant 1(2.9%) 4) Utilization of instruments as follows: 13 studies used Walker et al(1986)'s MIPIS (Mother-Infant Play Interaction Scale), 6 studies used Barnard(1978)'s NCAFS (Nursing Child Assessment Feeding Scale), 4 studies used NCATS(Nursing child Assessment Teaching Scale) for assessing mother-infant interaction. 3 studies used Stainton(1981)'s Parent-Infant Interaction Scale. Choi(1987), Kim(1999) and Kim and Son(1997) used measurement tool researcher made which was modified from NCATS (Nursing child Assessment Teaching Scale) and AMIS(Assessment of Mother-Infant Sensitivity Scale). Other tools used to survey influencing factors of interaction. 5) Content of the research studies were classified 3 different types, such as ① studies about the mother-child interactions' pattern, ② studies about influencing factors of the mother-child interaction, ③ studies about effect of nursing intervention program to improve the mother-child interaction. Conclusion: Therefore we make following suggestions which are made based on the above research analysis : 1) In the future research studies need to compare with other area of discipline in mother-child interaction. 2) More attention and in depth research is needed to validate in terms of research design and statistical data analysis. 3) It is important to develop the instruments which is culturally acceptable in Korea society. 4) The results of correlational studies and experimental studies needs to the integrated by meta analysis.

키르기스스탄 영유아 성장발달을 위한 놀이도구 개발 및 사용효과 평가: 6~36개월 영유아의 상징적 기능 사고와 미세운동 발달 중심으로 (Development of a Play Toolkit for Supporting Infant and Toddler Development in Kyrgyzstan with a Focus on the Symbolic Functioning and Fine Motor Development of Infants 6 to 36 Months Old)

  • Purpose: The study aimed to develop a play toolkit to facilitate infants' and toddlers' symbolic thought and fine motor development. Methods: This study used a methodological study design including two phases of development and evaluation. After reviewing the play culture and developmental health issues in Kyrgyzstan through a literature review and interviews with local experts and parents, the toolkit was developed and evaluated using content validity and utilization tests. Results: The toolkit was based on Westby's symbolic play and the fine motor milestones in the Bright Futures Guidelines. The Toolkits were composed of an overall suggested play schedule according to the child's age, four kinds of play props, and a utilization guidebook for parents. The play props were a felt book, sorting and assembling blocks, cup blocks, and a tangram. The guidebook contained age-appropriate operating methods and alternative ways to use the materials. Conclusion: A play toolkit was developed to enhance nurturing practices among parents of infants and toddlers. The findings may help facilitate effective interactions between parents and their children. Considering that nurturing care is critical for achieving better child health outcomes, enhancing parenting resources and parent-child relations could function as an effective strategy for promoting child health.

교사의 놀이성이 유아의 또래유능성에 미치는 영향: 교사-유아 간 상호작용의 매개효과 (Effects of Teachers' Playfulness on Child's Peer Competence: The Mediating Effects of Teacher-Child Interaction)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of teacher-child emotional, verbal, and behavioral interactions on the relationship between teacher playfulness and children's peer abilities. Methods: The research method used the questionnaire method to collect data on 420 children aged 3-5 years old, targeting 108 homeroom teachers working at early childhood education institutions located in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. The collected data was analyzed using the IBM SPSS 23.0 statistical program and the PROCESS macro of Hayes (2013). Results: This study confirmed that teachers' verbal, emotional, and physical interactions are closely related to young children's peer competence. In addition, it was confirmed that the teacher's playability is an important variable that affects not only the emotional, verbal, and physical interactions between the teacher and the infant, but also the peer competence of young children. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study have significance as basic data that suggests that it is necessary to improve the playability of teachers and increase the quality level of the multifaceted aspects of teacher-infant interaction in order to support young children's peer competence.

미국 텍사스주에 거주하는 한국인과 그 지역주민들의 영아수유 패턴에 관한 비교연구 (Comparisons of Infant Feeding Patterns Among Korean Living in Texas, USA and Local Populations)

  • This study was conducted to find some differences in infant feeding pattems between well educated Koreans and local populations living in Texas, USA. Initiation rate of exclusive breastfeeding in the hospital was 35.9% in Koreans and 60.4% in Americans. At 2, 4 and 6 months, exclusive breastfeeding rates were 34.0%, 20.8% and 13.2% for Koreans and 47.2%, 34.0% and 27.2% for Americans respectively. There was a significant difference in age of weaning from breast between these two groups(p<0.01). In Koreans the most common reason for the early termination before 4 months was maternal report of milk insufficiency. 55.6% of Koreans and 42.3% of Americans fed infants on scheduled rather on demand feeding. Primary sources of advice about feeding were medical professionals in Americans while baby's grandmother was the main source in Koreans. In Americans, choice of breastfeeding was not associated with ethnicity, maternal education, and family income in the study. Interventions to promote and support participants of Women Infants and Children(WIC) may play a role in Americans. It might be suggested that effective nutrition education programs targeting for Korean mothers to promote breastfeeding should be needed urgently and systematically.
