The purpose of this study was qualitatively conducted for getting the answer of this problem by searching the beliefs of mathematics teachers with experience in technology and the factors that influences these beliefs. The participants in this study consist of eight teachers and one university professor having technological experiences from three years to ten years with a higher degree than M.A. The data was collected through focused group interviews for twice and individual interview as well. Data analysis was completed through several readings of transcripts and then main themes were derived by classifying, comparing, and contrasting codings. The result of this study showed that teachers with the experiences of technological tools have the concrete belief that technology helps both students and teachers understand mathematical concepts and enhance various representational activities and motivations. The result also identified the impeding factors of three beliefs of mathematics teachers. From these beliefs and factors, this study would suggest how to help teachers hold their beliefs about using technologies to improve their teachings and students' learning.
This study analyzed the effects of 'app-based learning of observing and recording living things' on elementary school students' science-related attitudes. Samples of the study were composed of 24 sixth-grade students attending the science club of N elementary school in Seoul, Korea. The learning was conducted for 12 times over 7 months. 'TOSRA(Test of science-related attitude)' was used to quantitatively analyze the science-related attitudes of elementary school students. To find out more detailed characteristics, records of interview were also gathered and analyzed. The main results of this study are as follows. First, for the paired t-test of science-related attitudes, a statistically significant difference between the pre and post was found. As results of the interview, it was revealed that 'experiences of outdoor activities' greatly influenced the increase of science-related attitudes of the students. Second, in ANCOVA, according to 'gender' there was no statistically significant difference in score of science-related attitudes. But, there was statistically significant difference in science-related attitudes according to 'preferred science subjects' and 'whether individual interest has occurred about observing and recording living'. Based on the results of this study, implications for research of elementary biology education are discussed.

A number of studies have shown that students have a stereotyped image of a scientist, and this image is often a rather negative. Earlier work on images of the scientist revealed to be consistent across the various social classes and across countries. This study aimed to examine a Korean students' stereotyped images of scientist, compare it with earlier work, and also find out whether students have other ideas about scientist, apart from the stereotyped image. To these purposes, modified DAST and individual interviews were carried out with 217 students and 53 students, respectively. The results are as follows : 1. Most of the students portrayed the scientist as a neat and young man with well-featured face, which was different from earlier studies. 2. Year 3 boys described the scientist as a mu, but year 3 girls as a woman. 3. Most of the students gave positive answers which were at variance with the streotyped image. 4. An interview asking only one question was a complement to DAST. It was concluded that students have private perceptions of scientists and their work, as well as a stereotyped image.

With the arrival of the Internet age, which is characterised by interconnection, the importance of networks is increasing in entrepreneurial activities and networked incubation (NI) has emerged as a mainstream concept in business incubation (BI). However, detailed studies on operation models of NI have been scarcely conducted. In this respect, this paper suggests a knowledge-focused networked incubation (KNI) model optimised for the study BI was established by theoretical analysis, and has been applied. The initial diagnosis of the effectiveness of the KNI model was also conducted through descriptive statistics, case studies, and the Industrial Depth Interview (IDI). This study is significant in that it has elaborated an NI operation model that meets the down-to-earth needs of incubatees and also is universally applicable.

Health Belief Model is a socio-psychological theory of decision making to individual health-related behaviors. This study was aimed to develop an effective education program for hypertension based on health belief model. The main factors of health belief model were investigated by focus group interview (FGI) with 23 hypertensive or prehypertensive subjects aged over fifty years. 'Perceived susceptibility' to hypertension was family history, neglect of health care, preference for salty food, broth of soup and stew. Lifelong medication, complications, and medical costs were reported as 'perceived severity' of hypertension. 'Perceived benefits' of hypertension management were decrease of medicinal dose, reduction of medical costs, and healthy eating habits of the family, while 'perceived barriers' were lack of palatability of low salt diet, convenience-oriented dietary habits, and limited choice of foods when eating out. Subjects mentioned TV health programs, public health center programs, and advice from doctors and family as 'cues to action' of hypertension management. These qualitative information provided basis for developing a nutrition education program for hypertension which could be implemented in the public health center. Eight week program was composed of understanding hypertension, risk factor management (eating habits, weight), low salt diet (principles, cooking), advanced management for healthy diet in 2 sessions, and summary. Each session was designed to alert the susceptibility and severity, to emphasize the benefits, and to reduce the barriers by providing dietary monitoring, practical advice, and action tips.
The purpose of this research was conducted to formative processes and to interpret premarital adult's sexuality meaning. The interviews have been executed based upon ethnography approach and method of interview in depth within the framework of the Weis's sexual script theory (1998) and parent-children relation. The interview in depth has been conducted with unmarried 7 males and 8 females inclusive of college students, total 15 persons who were born 1974-1980 and living in Seoul and nearby suburban areas. A period of interviews were carried out from September until December 2003. Each interview was executed for 2 to 4 hours apiece, and each person had 2 to 4 interviews during the period. The result of analysis of the sexuality scripts theory from three different views indicates that the female informants appeared to rationalize the fact that traditional concept of the chastity as defined by the socio-cultural level has been changed. It also indicated that there were very few sex educations in the society at large except for the public medias including the Internet. The interrelation level indicates that positive interaction with the opposite sex has affected them in the course of their building up desirable personal relationship in the society and uplifting their sense of self-esteem. The internal level of sexuality, it is much dependent on the extent of individual inner recognition of sexuality. The parent-children relation view of sexuality, the most influential factor for their communication on sexuality lies in the extent of their realization on how positively their parents recognize their children.

The question of the interview is constructed with perception and expectation of science gifted elementary students in divided with 4steps of understanding of lesson object, planning experiment, performing experiment and drawing conclusion in laboratory-based science learning and an attitude for science. The interview is progressed per individual and all the content of the interview is recorded. The result of this research is as follows. The science gifted elementary students have a wish for building an assumption and expectation and planning an experiment with discussion more than following the textbook and teacher present. In the step of the experiment, they wanted general more discussion of their own activities rather than teacher's instruction and they wanted teacher's instruction and they wanted teacher's mediation conflicts within small groups and comments for students' experiment results. The science gifted elementary students wish to open a science lab, which man who likes science can go and come freely and to study with friends who have a same interest to make a theme. And from top to bottom they want to test autonomous and ask to salute like a representative experiment of teacher. And they ask to have a chance to test individually and want to see a movie related to an experiment before doing an experiment. Like this, it presents that the scientifically gifted elementary students want to do an experiment what they can, want to have a class which can plan and can do an experiment by themselves through discussion with the unit more than following explanation of a teacher and a textbook without condition.
