집단미술치료가 학습장애 청소년에게 미치는 효과 -자아존중감과 사회성 향상을 중심으로- (An Effect of Group Art Therapy on Adolescents' with Learning Disabilities - Focusing on Improvement of Self-esteem and Sociability -)

  • Purpose. This study examines the effects of improving students self-esteem and sociability by conducting a Group Art Therapy Program for students with learning disabilities. This study focused on three students with learning disabilities, attending B middle school special education class located in K county. The study was conducted for two hours once a week (Friday) at B middle school during special education class from May 2, 2014 to July 18, 2014. Methods. For the tools of studying, Self-esteem and social strip forms/rubrics were filled, by students', before and after and data processing was inspected, paired t-Test using the SPSS / WIN (Ver.18.0) for quantitative analysis. Also, on the basis of content, analyzed data of the individuals' self-esteem social changes are shown in graph format. In addition, this qualitative study shows before and after of dynamic house, tree, person (K-H, T, P), dynamic family (KFD), dynamic school life of search phase (4-6 sessions) significant improvement of self-esteem and sociability in adolescents' with learning disabilities influenced by conducting a Group Art Therapy Program. Results. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. First, Group Art Therapy Program shows a statistically significant difference (p<.05) showing that self esteem average is 2.04 before Group Art Therapy Intervention but self esteem average is 2.92 after Group Art Therapy Intervention. Second, as a result of social strip pre-post, there wasn't statistically significant difference compared to self esteem pre-post result, although, post examination's average level was enhanced after Group Art Therapy Program in difference examination.(p>.05). Third, as a result of analysis the indicated pre-post change of Students' pre-post dynamic house, tree, person (HTP), dynamic family (KFD), a dynamic school daily life (KSD), students' family and interpersonal relationships, self-concept shows statistical significant changes. Conclusion. As the result of this study, Group Art Therapy Program shows effective improvement in students' self-esteem and social skills learning disabilities. However, a future study on larger and more diverse group of students' with learning disabilities are advised to be conducted in order to better understand the significance of the Group Art Therapy Program.

집단미술치료가 보육시설아동의 우울성향 감소에 미치는 영향 - 초등학교 3·4학년 아동 중심으로 - (The Effectiveness of Group Art Therapy in Reducing the Depression of Third and Fourth Grade Elementary School Children in Residential Care Facilities)

  • Before the application of the group art therapy program, children from residential care facilities had higher depression than those from ordinary families. After the application of the program, however, children from residential facilities to whom the program was applied showed significantly lower depression than those in residential care to whom the program was not applied. Still, they showed somewhat higher depression than children living in ordinary families. Nevertheless, children from residential facilities to whom the program was applied showed the largest reduction in depression. Consequently, group art therapy is considered effective in reducing the depression of children in residential care facilities.

  • The objective of this study is to assess the effect of art activities of young children by utilizing the art therapy techniques on the daily stress and social competence of the young children. Out of children at the age of 5 in two classes of H kindergarten in P city, the study of 25 and controlling group of 25 are allocated to make a total number of 50 study objects. After pretests on the surveyed and controlling groups, 2-3times a week, totaling 12times of experimental treatments are made by selecting the art works of easy application on the education fields for the young children. The outcome of this study is as follow. First, the surveyed group participating in the art activities based on art therapy techniques gets lower points than the controlling group in criticism-attacking circumstance, anxious-frustrated circumstance, pride-deteriorated situation and the general daily stress. Second, the surveyed group participating in the art activities based on art therapy techniques gets higher points than the controlling group in positive-social activities, anxious-contracted activities, angry-aggressive activities and the general social competency.

마음챙김 명상을 기반으로 한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 직장인의 직무스트레스와 대인관계에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of a Group Art Therapy Program based on Mindfulness Meditation on the Job Stress and Interpersonal Relationships of Office Workers)

  • 본 연구는 마음 챙김 명상을 기반으로 한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 직장인의 직무스트레스와 대인관계에 미치는 영향을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 경기도 A시에 소재한 직장인 24명으로 실험집단 12명과 통제집단 12명을 무선 배치하여 실험집단은 6주 동안 총 12회(주 2회, 각 90분)기를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험집단에 참여한 직장인의 직무스트레스 전체와 직무스트레스요인, 스트레스 증세요인, 직무스트레스 결과요인의 하위요인 모두 사전에 비해 사후에 감소되었다. 둘째, 실험집단에 참여한 직장인의 대인관계 전체와 하위요인인 지배성, 보복성, 냉담성, 사회적 회피성, 비주장성, 피착취성, 헌신성, 간섭성 모두 사전에 비해 사후에 감소되었다. 결과적으로 본 마음챙김 명상을 기반으로 한 집단미술치료 프로그램이 직장인의 직무스트레스 감소와 대인관계를 향상시키는데 효과가 있음이 제시되었다.

집단미술요법의 노인의 무력감, 고독감, 우울, 자아상에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Group Art Therapy on Old Adults' Powerlessness, Loneliness, Depression and Self-image)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group art therapy on old adults' powerlessness, loneliness. depression and self-image (for 55-year old or older people). Method: An experimental group of 10 persons were given group art therapy for 1 hour per week for 8 weeks. Results: The result of this study showed that group art therapy is effective in decreasing older adults' powerlessness (p<0.05) and their loneliness and depression (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the score of loneliness (p>0.05). A tree test was executed to analyze self-image change. and the result of the tree test showed a significant change in the tree shape. which mean a significant positive change in self-image. Conclusions: The scores of older adults' powerlessness, loneliness and depression were lowered by the group art therapy. Therefore it is thought that group art therapy program was an effective intervention for improving older adults' quality of life. Thus, this study suggests to apply group art therapy as a supportive nursing intervention in order to manage powerlessness, loneliness, depression and self-image in old low-income adults.

  • 본 연구는 학교부적응 청소년을 대상으로 집단미술치료 프로그램을 적용하여 자아존중감과 스트레스에 미치는 효과를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 A지역 B중학교 2학년에 재학 중인 학교부적응 청소년 6명이며, 기간은 2021년 5월 12일 부터 6월 9일까지 주 2회, 회기당 60분씩 총 10회기 진행하였다. 연구 도구는 자아존중감 척도(SEI)와 빗속의 사람그림(PITR)검사의 사전·사후 변화를 살펴보았다. 자료 분석은 자아존중감의 변화를 살펴보기 위해 Wilcoxon test를 실시하였고 빗속의 사람그림(PITR)검사의 변화는 미술치료전문가 2명이 질적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 학교부적응 청소년의 자아존중감 향상에 효과적이었다. 둘째, 집단미술치료 프로그램은 학교부적응 청소년의 스트레스 감소에 효과적이었다. 결론적으로 집단미술치료는 학교부적응 청소년의 자아존중감 향상과 스트레스 감소에 도움을 주어, 학교부적응 청소년의 심리적 안정감을 도모하는데 효과적임이 입증되었다.

The effect of Group art therapy with ceramics on aggression and impulse of juvenile delinquent

  • The purpose of this research is to clarify the effect that group art therapy with ceramics affects aggression and impulse for juvenile delinquent. The experimental domain of this study was implemented with 24 juvenile delinquent suspended from protective dispositions for them who were in long-term juvenile sheltered housing about for 12 years. These subjects were selected from among juvenile delinquent between 14 to 20 years age who were entrusted from court to the Juvenile Protection Education Institute located in G area. 12 people were randomly assigned each experimental domain and control domain; experimental group was implemented group art therapy with ceramics whereas there was anything to control group. The program was designed once a week and 90minutes each 12 sessions. The result of this study show that control group at variable related aggression was not significantly changed at posttest. In case of experimental group, here was significantly changed as a whole, also sub factor such as physical aggression showed considerable change so that the first hypothesis was supported In addition, experimental group showed the considerable change at sub factor of motor impulsiveness so that the second hypothesis was supported whereas control group at impulse variable was not significantly changed during pretest and posttest. This study results conclude that the juvenile delinquent participating group art therapy with ceramics represents the effect on reduction of aggression and motor impulsiveness. We expect this result will be used as further base line data for juvenile delinquent.

섬유매체를 활용한 집단미술치료가 중학생의 정서지능에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Group Art Therapy Using Fabric Medium on Emotional Intelligence of Middle School Students)

  • This thesis seeks to inquire into the effect of group art therapy using a fabric medium on the emotional intelligence of middle school students. This application of fabrics to group art therapy is helpful in terms of gender roles and equality from an educational aspect and can help activate and control positive sentiment. Therefore, it was believed to have a positive effect on emotional intelligence. The subjects were 28 boys and girls who were students of the Supportive Project for the Priority Region of Educational Welfare Investment. The measurement tool is a revision of the emotional intelligence test of Mun Yong-Rin (1997), which itself was based on the emotional intelligence model of Mayer and Salovey (1997). The data materials are analyzed by SPSS (ver. 17.0 for Windows). To test the homogeneity of the groups, the Mann-Whitney U test was carried out, and to analyze the effect of this program, the Wilcoxon signed ranks test was carried out. The results are as follows. This program had a positive effect on the emotional intelligence of both male and female students, especially on their empathy and activation of thinking among the subcategories. This study has significance in that it verifies the effect of the improvement of emotional intelligence by way of group art therapy using fabrics, adding a fabric medium to the art medium. As the subject group was restricted to 28 adolescents in the Supportive Project, it is not easy to generalize the achievement to the entiresphere of group art therapy.

초등학생을 대상으로 한 집단미술치료프로그램 효과에 대한 메타분석 (Meta-analysis of the Effects of Group Art Therapy on Elementary School Students)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of group art therapy for elementary school students through meta-analysis of domestic journals from 2010 to 2017. Methods: The subjects of this study were 259 effect sizes calculated from the 41 research materials selected in "Korean Journal of Art Therapy" (Korea Art Therapy Association) and "The Korean Journal of Art Therapy" (The Institute of Korea Arts Therapy). Results: First, the overall mean effect size of children participating in art therapy for this study was 1.69, which indicates that the programs proved to be useful for children. Second, the session with the largest effect size consisting of 7~10 group members was conducted more than 20 times in total, with the time per session of 60~90 minutes. Conclusion/Implications: It is expected that elementary school art therapy can be an effective way of solving the psychological problems of children and will be useful for future program development and research.

위축 아동을 위한 집단 미술치료프로그램의 효과 (The Effect of Group Art Therapy in Children with Withdrawn Behaviors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group art therapy on the withdrawn behavior, social behavior, social problems, anxiousness/depression, internalizing problems, total behavior problems and self-esteem in children who are withdrawn. Method: A randomized controlled pre-post test design was used. The participants were 31 children who were withdrawn attending J. P. Elementary School in Pohang City. Sixteen were assigned to the experimental group and 15 to the control group. The program consisted of 20 sessions of 80 minutes per session, 2 days a week, for 10 weeks. Instruments used for this study were the Children's Behavior Check List -Korean version (K-CBCL) and a self-esteem inventory. The data were analyzed using fisher exact test and Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Thescores for withdrawn behavior, social problems, anxiousness/depression, internalizing problems and total behavior problems decreased significantly in the experimental group as compare to the control group. Social behavior and self-esteem increased significantly in the experimental group as compared to the control group. Conclusions: This study provides evidence for the pontential and beneficial effects of group art therapy in children who are withdrawn. The program could be adequately used to improve problem behavior in withdrawn children.
