  • Ballasted track is constructed in consideration of the maintenance. The application time and frequency of MTT(Multiple Tie Tamper) and BS(Ballast Cleaner) depend on track geometry measurements. This paper presents the application of Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR), Falling Weight Deflectometer(FWD), and Portable Ballast Sampler (PBS) to evaluate the effects of track geometry due to substructure deterioration and to build a reliable substructure evaluation system.

연약노반상에서의 토목섬유 적용에 따른 보강효과 분석 (Analysis of Reinforcement Effect with Geotextile types on Soft Ground)

  • In this study, Several types of geotextile was used on the selected track-bed. The use of geotextile prove a economical and efficientmean to prevent the problem of mud-pumping and settlement. Field testing sections from Mock-haeng to Dong-ryang in the Chungbuk lines in Korea were selected to investigate in current condition the of track and roadbed. This testing site was divided into 5 sections. In the four sections, different types of geotextiles were installed. In order to estimate for performance of the reinforced section with geotextiles on the soft ground, four different geotextiles were installed and compared with no reinforced section. Also, after the installation, mud-pumping, settlement of elastic or plastic sleeper, failure of track, wheel-loads, and earth pressures were investigated. The following is the summaries from the field tests. As a conclusion, According to naked eyes investigation, mud pumping didn't happen at reinforced sections, but no reinforced section was happen to a top of track for 6 months. And Elastic displacements at the reinforced and no reinforced section were about $30.7\%\;and\;73.8\%,$ respectively. Also, It was found that plastic displacement in reinforced section was retrained about $50\%$ more than that in no reinforced section.

방진체결구/방진매트의 진동저감특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Reduction Characteristics of the Elastic Rail Fastener/Ballast Mat)

  • Generally, countermeasures for the train-induced vibration are divided into the measures at the source, propagation path and receiving object. Among these measures the countermeasure at the source location is the most active and effective one in the field of railroad. In this study, the effectiveness of each anti-vibration measures at the track(source location) such as elastic rail fastener, ballast mat were evaluated through the comparison of acceleration level, insertion loss at the installed locations of each measures. As result of field measurement of vibration at the railroad track supporting structures and on the ground nearby the structures, elastic rail fastener showed vibration reduction effect of 4.5 ∼7.3㏈ on the concrete slab, 1.6∼3.7㏈ on the ground with the train operation speed of 80km/hr. In the case of ballast mat, the vibration reduction effect at the concrete slab and on the ground were 11.9∼13.3㏈ and 6.1∼7.6㏈, respectively.

인접굴착공사에 따른 지하철 궤도 변형 해석을 위한 매개변수 연구 (Parameter Study of Track Deformation Analysis by Adjacent Excavation Work on Urban Transit)

  • 본 연구에서는 인접굴착공사 시 지하철 궤도에 발생되는 변형수준을 평가하는데 있어서 3D 해석 모델로 분석하였으며, 해석의 주요 매개변수로서 터널모델의 경계조건과 지하수위 적용 수준 설정하여 해석을 수행하였다. 3차원 수치해석 모델을 이용한 궤도틀림 영향 검토 결과, 3차원 모델의 시종점부 경계조건의 구속조건을 변경하고, 설계지 하수위가 아닌 현장지하수위를 고려한 해석모델의 경우 보다 합리적인 궤도변형 예측이 가능한 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 해석모델의 경계조건 및 하중조건에 따른 궤도틀림의 영향은 방향틀림, 고저틀림 및 궤간틀림과 같이 레일의 종방향 상대변위 발생에 직접적인 영향을 받는 인자에서 보다 명확한 차이가 발생되었다. 따라서 열차진행방향에 대한 선로의 변형유무를 평가하기 위한 인접굴착공사에 따른 궤도안정성 평가 시에는 레일의 변형수준을 평가할 수 있는 3차원 수치모델을 사용하여 궤도의 변형을 평가하는 것이 적정한 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 수치모델의 시종점부 경계조건 및 하중조건 설정에 주의가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • An active application of concrete track is being expected for the future construction of Korean railroad. For the successful concrete track construction and design in earthwork areas, the residual settlement should be reasonably estimated using the proper method. The concrete track is extremely vulnerable to the damage of residual settlement. However, at the transition areas such as bridge approach, differential settlement will likely occur due to difference of stiffness, poor drainage and poor ground treatment. The maintenance is very difficult for excessive settlement on existing line, it is need to constrain the residual settlement in step of design. In this paper, it is performed the analysis of the residual settlement measured data, test results and reference to understand the residual settlement behavior of concrete track roadbed

  • In this study, a procedure is presented for the dynamic analysis of a multibody tracked vehicle system. The planar vehicle model used in this investigation is assumed to consist of two kinematically decoupled subsystems. i.e., the chassis subsystem and track subsystem. The chassis subsystem includes the chassis frame, sprocket, idler and rollers, while the track subsystem is represented as a closed kinematic chain consisting of rigid links interconnected by revolute joints. The nonlinear contact force modules describing the interaction between track links, and sprocket, idler, rollers and ground will be developed.

모노레일 시스템 궤도빔의 합리적인 경간장 결정방안 (The plan of rational span decision to track beam of monorail)

  • The monorail system as new transportation system mostly has being constructed as an elevated construction and the track beam as mostly main work type occupy the important parts. The structure of monorail system, the track beam support directly vehicle's load and comprised of the track beam structure to be traveling side and understructure to be transmitted from their load to the ground. In particular, in case of construction to elevated structure in the center of a city, it is important to decision plan for span to be considered the economic, execution and maintenance according to transport, installation, and the structure problem, scene and civil appeals to be decided the beam elevation and span. Therefore the standard span of monorail track beam shall be considered the efficient execution, economic and transportation. And propose to reasonable decision plan incorporated the minimizing the road occupied width due to openness to center of a city and bridge pole, minimize to basis size.

  • The purpose of this study is development of the diagnosis system to preventative maintenance in the on-board measuring systems for in-cab electric inspection systems of high speed railway. The on-board measuring systems can inspect precisely whether ground signal system operate stably. In this paper, we recognize characteristics of the track circuits and confirm whether the wave of current matches the on-board measuring data through the electric modeling method for high speed railway. it is necessary to develop GUI visual programs that can simulate abnormalities of the on-board measuring data in many ways, and the visual program is designed to diagnosis in the case of track circuit equipment's function decreased in advance.

휠-트랙 하이브리드 모바일 플랫폼을 위한 지형 적응성 장애물 극복 자세 제어기 개발 (Development of Terrain-Adaptive Attitude Controller for Hybrid Mobile Platform with Wheel & Track)

  • This paper describes terrain-adaptive attitude controller for a hybrid mobile platform which operates in wheel & track mode. The wheel mode of the hybrid mobile platform allows quick driving performance in the flatland, while the track mode provides adaptive movement in the rough ground or stairway. The switching of the platform between two modes is automatically controlled by attitude controller algorithm. In addition, in the track mode, the platform automatically adjusts its attitude angle to overcome the obstacles in front. This paper demonstrates the attitude controller for the aforementioned wheel-track hybrid mobile platform in order to overcome terrain obstacles by using an adaptive method. The driving performance of the hybrid mobile platform has been tested and verified in various surrounding environments in both wheel and track mode. Further, this paper presents the experiments by using the track structure of mobile platform on forming adaptive attitude under various types of obstacles. The practicability and effectiveness of the proposed attitude controller of the platform has been demonstrated in urban building and a test-bed.
