아산화 및 저온의 코아 퇴적물 중 부시료 채취를 위한 글러브박스 (A Glove Box for the Subsampling of Suboxic and Cold Core Sediment)

  • 아산화 및 저온의 코아 퇴적물 중 부시료 채취시 실험자에게 미치는 온도 충격과 글러브박스내의 공기를 질소가스로 교체할 때의 난점을 개선하기 위하여, 이동이 가능 하고 냉장고와 기체교환풍성을 가진 글러브박스를 제작.실험했다. 본 글러브박스는 3$0^{\circ}C$의 실온에서 200미터의 기체를 5분 이내에 2$^{\circ}C$$\pm$2$^{\circ}C$로 냉각시킬 수 있다. 또한 기 체교환풍선을 이용해 글러브박스내의 기체를 질소가스로 쉽게 교체할 수 있다. 이 글 러브박스는 태평양의 클라리온, 클리퍼톤 균열대 지역에서 수행된 KODOS-89 탐사에서 성공적으로 작동되었으며, 얻어진 공극수 자료로부터 퇴적물 시료의 가열 또는 산화의 흔적을 찾을 수 없었다.

이동로봇의 원격제어를 위한 햅틱 글러브 개발 (Development of Haptic Glove for Remote Control)

  • The remote control of mobile robot is widely used to perform dangerous and complex tasks such as underwater exploration and cleaning of nuclear reactor. For this purpose, the obstacle avoidance process will proceed to ensure a safe drive. In this paper, we tested that mobile robot drive in which replaced a pipe with a box. After we measured the distance around the obstacle through a sensor of robot, we got the information that changed haptic force from the distance of the obstacle.

몰입형 가상현실 프로그램 Rapael Smart Glove가 뇌졸중 환자의 상지기능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Immersive Virtual Reality Intervention on Upper Extremity Function in Post-Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an immersive, virtual reality-based exercise program on range of motion and dexterity in the upper extremities of stroke patients. Methods: Fifteen patients with hemiparesis after stroke participated in this study. The participants participated in Rapael Semart GloveTM, an immersive, virtual reality-based exercise program, performed for 30 minutes-, 3 times per week for 4 weeks. The Rapael Smart GloveTM program and a Box and Block Test (BBT) were used to measure range of motion and to assess dexterity, respectively, pre-and post-intervention. Results: Range of motion in pronation and supination of the forearm and flexion, extension, and ulnar deviation of the wrist improved after the intervention. Dexterity measured by BBT also improved. However, range of motion in flexion and extension of the fingers and radial deviation of the wrist did not improve. Conclusion: This study presents the effects of an immersive, virtual reality-based exercise program on hand function. In the future, a study comparing an immersive, virtual reality- based exercise program to other upper-extremity interventions for stroke patients should be conducted. A study about the effects of an immersive virtual reality program on activities of daily living is also needed.

The Effects of Virtual Upper Extremity Training Using the RAPAEL Smart Glove on Physical and Cognitive Function in Stroke Survivors -A Single Group Study-

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of a virtual upper extremity training program using the RAPAEL Smart Glove on upper extremity function in stroke survivors with chronic hemiparesis and to focus the training program development using the Smart Glove as a feasibility study. Methods: This study was conducted using a single group and pre-post test research design in the outpatient departments of local rehabilitation units. Ten chronic hemiparetic stroke survivors with a diagnosis of first stroke received therapeutic rehabilitation at the rehabilitation units. All the participants used a virtual reality program with the RAPAEL Smart Glove for 30 minutes per session 3 days a week over 8 weeks. They also received conventional occupational therapy with functional electrical stimulation for 40 minutes per session 3 days a week for 8 weeks as an additional therapy. To analyze the effects of this therapeutic intervention, four clinical measures, including the box-block test (BBT), the Wolf motor function test (WMFT), the trail-making score, the Jebsen Taylor hand function test (JTHFT), and grip strength, were used. Results: Upon completion of the intervention in week 8, all the participants demonstrated significant WMFT, JTT, BBT, grip strength, and trail-making score gains compared to the respective baselines at week 0. Conclusion: This study suggests that virtual upper extremity training using the RAPAEL Smart Glove has a reasonable and beneficial effects on upper extremity function in chronic hemiparetic stroke survivors.

환원환경에서 암반 균열을 통한 우라늄 이동 및 지연 특성 (Migration and Retardation Properties of Uranium through a Rock Fracture in a Reducing Environment)

  • 본 연구에서는 타당한 지하조건을 모사하기 위한 실험장치를 글로버박스(Glove-box) 내에 설치하고 천연지하수 및 자연균열을 가진 화강암 시추코어를 이용하여 핵종이동 실험을 수행하였다. 암반코어의 균열을 통한 지하수 유동을 해석하기 위하여 비수착성 음이온 핵종인 Br로 지하수 유동실험을 수행하였다. 암반 균열을 통한 우라늄 이동 실험결과에서 유출된 우라늄의 파과곡선이 비수착성 핵종인 Br와 유사한 거동을 보여주었는데, 이는 주어진 지하수 조건에서 우라늄이 주로 탄산염과 결합된 음이온 복합체로 이동하기 때문인 것으로 추정된다. 아울러 균열충전광물에 대한 우라늄의 회분식 수착실험을 수행한 결과, 균열충전광물에 대한 우라늄의 분배계수 $K_d$는 약 2.7 mL/g로 낮게 나타났다. 이러한 우라늄 수착실험 결과는 빠른 유출을 보인 우라늄 이동실험 결과와 일치한다. 균열암반을 통한 우라늄 이동의 지 연 특성을 보다 자세히 분석하기 위하여 회분식 수착실험으로 부터 구한 $K_d$값을 이용해 지연인자 $R_d$$({\sim}16.2)$를 구하고 이동실험 결과로부터 구한 $R_d$$({\sim}14.3)$과 비교한 결과, 서로 매우 유사한 지연인자 값을 가진다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 화강암 코어의 균열을 통한 우라늄의 이동 지연이 주로 균열충전광물에 의해 이루어지고 있음을 의미하는 것이라고 하겠다.

건축재료에서 발생되는 석면입자의 특성 연구 (The Characteristics of Dispersed Asbestos Fibers Produced From Building Materials)

  • This paper describes the results of a systematic study to determine the characteristics of particle generated from various types of asbestos containing material(ACM) and manmade fiber material(MMFM) during operations of cutting and grinding in laboratory and workplace. Tests were conducted with a specially designed glove box which allowed complete sampling of the generated asbestos fibers. Specificially, air measurements were made during ACM and MMFM installation in building. All personal air samples collected were identified by polarized light microscopy(PLM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive X-ray analysis(SEM/EDXA). Also, the samples were counted by phase contrast microscope(PCM) in order to compare the results with the permissible exposure standard for workplace. Results indicate that the characterisitcs of fibers found in the roofing sheet, the ceiling and the wall insulation boards were identical to those of asbestos, while the characteristics of fibers found in the ceiling insulation board, the floor tile and the sprayed on insulation products in parking area were identical to those of asbestos, while the characteristics of fibers found in the ceiling insulation board, the floor tile and the sprayed on insulation products in parking area were identical to those of rock wool. The concentrations of airborne fibers from various building materials cut by a grinder for 5 minutes were in the ranges of 0.09 $\sim$ 1.71 fibers/cc(f/cc). The highest concentration(1.71f/cc) was found during grinding the wall insulation board which also contains rock wool. The airborne fiber concentrations generated by installing at workplace were ranged from 0.0009 to 0.029 f/cc. All asbestos fibers from the ceiling insulation board at workplace were less than 20$\mu$m in length and more than 20% of them had the average aspect ratio greater than 20. Therefore, for the purpose of decreasing asbestos and man-made fiber concentrations at the workplace, the ceiling and wall board should use strong binding material to increase the binding force with fiber. Also, the permissible exposure standard for workplace(2.0f/cc) in Korea should be constituted below the maximum avaiable concentration measured at glove box.

  • 어셈블리 시스템의 동적거동을 예측하기 위해서는 그 시스템의 체결에 사용된 조인트의 동특성을 정확히 아는 것이 중요하다. 그러나 이들 체결부의 동특성은 매우 큰 산포로 인하여 해석 또는 실험적인 방법으로 동특성을 동정하기 까다로우며, 때로는 불가능 한 경우도 있다. 체결부 동특성 동정 관련 선행 연구사례는 대부분이 실험과 해석을 연계한 방법이며, 그 대상은 볼트조인트에 국한되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 힌지조인트를 대상으로 체결부의 동특성을 동정하는 간단한 방법을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 방법의 타당성을 입증하기 위해두 개의 빔이 힌지조인트에 연결된 체결구조물을 제작하여 주파수-응답 실험을 실시하고 그 결과를 제시된 방법의 결과와 비교/검증한다. 그리고 본 연구에서 제안하는 방법을 실제 자동차에 사용되고 있는 글로브박스(Glove Box)의 힌지조인트에 적용해 보았다.
