As the importance of SW education increases, the necessity of SW gifted education is being required that early discovery of talented children in SW fields. In 2016, thirty SW gifted classes were set up for elementary and secondary school students and SW gifted education began. However, SW gifted education could not be carried out with consistency in detail because each class had different conditions such as selection methods of gifted students, curriculum and environment. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the situation of SW gifted classes in order to decrease the gap of the SW gifted class. In this research, all the SW gifted classes were investigated in the view of the curriculum, environment, student selection and contents through reviewing the installation-performance reports and on-site visits of all classes. Also, limitations and problems of the SW gifted classes were described and improvement methods were discussed.

There have been tremendous needs and requirements of special education for the gifted to the level of country development and for developing their talents. Even though a lot of research has been done on special education for the gifted supported by the government, lack of educational materials and material development has been a main concern. Some trails using the web with the help of information technology have been made on distance education and resulted good effect on education. No application using a web-based educational method has been made on special education for the gifted so far. This paper describes about the web-based special education for the gifted on mathematics. The discussed topics are development of educational materials, compliments of the current educational materials in mathematics being used at the KIGES(Kyungnam Institute of the Gifted Education in Science), and the continuation of special education for the gifted. Furthermore, a better and more efficient way is suggested for special education for the gifted that has been limited by geographic and locational restrictions.

This study was carried out to analyze primary gifted education systems in Korea and China. The results of the research are as follows : (1) The objectives of the gifted children education of two countries are same. They intend to dig out hidden talent and giftedness of gifted children. They emphasize the development of creativity in the gifted children through the various special teaching methods. (2) Korea has been doing the gifted education limitedly focused on the 4th grade students in elementary school after regular school curriculum, but China has performed gifted education from primary school to university quite systematically. (3) Korea tend to select the students based on the objective sources such as teachers' observation, recommendation, school scores, but this has limit to find out the real potential genius. China has the similar problems, but they consider of the comprehensive talented and abilities in students at school unit level. (4) Both countries have the teacher training systems for study to make more efficient programs and methods in gited education. It has been emphasized the necessity of gifted education to expand the range and target. Most of all it is very essential to train the teachers to manipulate the gifted education programs. The government should be persue the multiplicity and professionality now. So there are so many things to learn from China since they managed the gifted education in a regular curriculum of the school.

This study was created with the intent of improving the teaching quality of the teachers responsible for instructing higher level math programs. Additionally, this research study was designed to analyze the instruction of mathematically gifted students by using "The Flanders Category System" and "TIMSS video analysis". The results of this study will provide opportunities for a deeper understanding of ways to improve the quality of gifted instruction in mathematics and furthermore will increase the expertise of teachers in the realm of gifted education in mathematics.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of science experience with their children on mothers who have children who are science gifted children and how they perceive what kind of parenting methods are appropriate for the growth and development of children who are science gifted children. To do this, we interviewed 13 mothers of the gifted education center of the Ministry of Education and conducted two in - depth interviews with them. Results, mothers who have scientific gifted children have various science experiences with children who are scientific gifted. In this process, mothers of gifted children understand the gifted children through science experience with their children, I have come to realize that it is necessary to provide an educational environment that can express my child's talents and help to determine the direction of my career. For this purpose, leadership education that reminds the importance of relationships between people, providing opportunities for various experiences so that they can decide their life, career education through inquiry of deep science experience and meeting with senior scientists, humanities for integrated thinking And the arts. In this way, it is possible to provide in-depth research results to the mothers of the gifted and talented to provide specific directions for the various supportive methods and teaching methods that the gifted children should provide for intellectual and emotional growth and development. Development of educational programs is necessary.

The purpose of this study is to develop and apply effective teaching strategies and program for the gifted-in-science. The teaching material for the gifted students was focussed on microscope. This study consists of three steps according to the enrichment triad model of Renzulli. Firstly, the gifted students investigate and express themselves for theological backgrounds, for examples, kinds, structure and use in various ways of microscope. It is to provide basic data for the effective ideas and interest which help students have the appropriate microscopic conceptions. In the second step, it contains understanding of a term and function of microscope, making of simple microscope, principle of a statue focusing and size estimation of an outline of subjects by scientific investigation activity. Lastly, it focussed on enlargement of post-learning through investigation of relationship with inter-science and experiments using microscope. Therefore, it was concluded that this study may help teachers reconsider scientific program development for the gifted or enriched students and to be successful in the teaching-learning processes.

Research on entrepreneurial gifted youth who have immense potential within the national economy in the near future is critical. The purpose of this article is to establish the proper goal and direction of longitudinal study on entrepreneurial gifted youth and to identify substantial research problems. In order to do a theoretical inspection around preceeding research related with the field, longitudinal study of entrepreneurial youth (including gifted education and entrepreneurship) was executed. As a result, the goal, 'the verification of whether entrepreneurs can be cultivated by educational interventions' was derived as an appropriate research direction. Also, 4 major research problems are presented: (1) Description of the features of entrepreneurial gifted youth and their developmental pattern, (2) Explanation of the effects of educational intervention on intensifying entrepreneurial giftedness, (3) Prediction which identifies the factors that influence the youths' success as eminent entrepreneurs, and (4) Control over promoting talented individuals and refining relevant policy and institutions. Implications and further research directions are also discussed.

This study reviewed the current state of career education programs, especially for giftd students in humanities and social science, in the public education system of South Korea, and investigated how those gifted students perceive on career education programs for them. Gifted students and their career education teachers were surveyed, and related documents were also widely collected and analyzed. The results showed that (1) 56% of gifted students in mamanities and social science wanted to pursue careers related to language abilities, and that (2) gifted students in humanities and social science find less opportunities, compared to gifted students in math and science, to participate in career education programs related to their talent areas. These findings are expected to be considered when career education programs are designed and implimented for gifted students in the areas of humanities and social science.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate teacher's perception of gifted education and obtains information for the education system for silted children. The questionnaire survey was conducted to 120 teachers for the gifted located in Daejeon Metropolitan city. In this study, the questionaire was made up 50 questions about basic information and a specialty for gifted students including teacher training, teaching instructions, gifted programs, administration for the gifted etc. The result of this study was analyized by SPSS10.0. As a result, The teachers wanted to increase teachers' training for the gifted and to decrease too much extra work. And They asked fixed classes for the gifted. Finally, the present processes of discrimination for the gifted need to be improved.

The quality of gifted education depends on the quality of teachers in the field. Teachers in music (Korean traditional music) gifted education are significant variable in identifying students' giftedness and successful instruction. The purpose of this study was to explore the desirable components of teachers in music (Korean traditional music) gifted education and develop the evaluation criteria based on the desirable components. Previous research on the components of good teachers, teachers in gifted education and teachers in music (Korean traditional music) gifted education were reviewed. Based on literature review, the evaluation criteria of teachers in music (Korean traditional music) gifted education was developed. To collect opinions and derive consensus of the evaluation criteria, this research used Delphi method with a panels of 25 experts. The evaluation criteria classified with 3 dimensions, 8 categories, and 18 variables as the result.
