SOME SYMMETRY IDENTITIES FOR GENERALIZED TWISTED BERNOULLI POLYNOMIALS TWISTED BY UNRAMIFIED ROOTS OF UNITY

  • We derive three identities of symmetry in two variables and eight in three variables related to generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and generalized twisted power sums, both of which are twisted by unramified roots of unity. The case of ramified roots of unity was treated previously. The derivations of identities are based on the p-adic integral expression, with respect to a measure introduced by Koblitz, of the generating function for the generalized twisted Bernoulli polynomials and the quotient of p-adic integrals that can be expressed as the exponential generating function for the generalized twisted power sums.

  • In this note, we consider a generalized Fibonacci sequence {$q_n$}. Then give a connection between the sequence {$q_n$} and the Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind $U_n(x)$. With the aid of factorization of Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind $U_n(x)$, we derive the complex factorizations of the sequence {$q_n$}.

  • In this paper, we obtain important combinatorial identities of generalized harmonic numbers using symmetric polynomials. We also obtain the matrix representation for the generalized harmonic numbers whose inverse matrix can be computed recursively.

  • In this paper, we obtain new generating functions involving families of pairs of inverse functions by using a generalization of the Srivastava's theorem [H. M. Srivastava, Some generalizations of Carlitz's theorem, Pacific J. Math. 85 (1979), 471-477] obtained by Tremblay and Fug$\grave{e}$ere [Generating functions related to pairs of inverse functions, Transform methods and special functions, Varna '96, Bulgarian Acad. Sci., Sofia (1998), 484-495]. Special cases are given. These can be seen as generalizations of the generalized Bernoulli polynomials and the generalized degenerate Bernoulli polynomials.

  • In this paper, we study the generalizations of Euler numbers and polynomials by using the q-extension with p-adic integral on $\mathbb{Z}_p$. We call these: the generalized q-${\omega}$-Euler numbers $E^{({\alpha})}_{n,q,{{\omega}}(a)$ and polynomials $E^{({\alpha})}_{n,q,{\omega}}(x;a)$. We investigate some elementary properties and relations for $E^{({\alpha})}_{n,q,{{\omega}}(a)$ and $E^{({\alpha})}_{n,q,{\omega}}(x;a)$.

  • By means of the Oberhettinger integral, certain generalized integral formulae involving product of generalized k-Bessel function $w^{{\gamma},{\alpha}}_{k,v,b,c}(z)$ and general class of polynomials $S^m_n[x]$ are derived, the results of which are expressed in terms of the generalized Wright hypergeometric functions. Several new results are also obtained from the integrals presented in this paper.

  • Motivated by several generalizations of the Pochhammer symbol and their associated families of hypergeometric functions and hypergeometric polynomials, by choosing to use a very generalized Pochhammer symbol, we aim to introduce certain extensions of the generalized Lauricella function F(n)A and the Humbert's confluent hypergeometric function Ψ(n) of n variables with, as their respective particular cases, the second Appell hypergeometric function F2 and the generalized Humbert's confluent hypergeometric functions Ψ2 and investigate their several properties including, for example, various integral representations, finite summation formulas with an s-fold sum and integral representations involving the Laguerre polynomials, the incomplete gamma functions, and the Bessel and modified Bessel functions. Also, pertinent links between the major identities discussed in this article and different (existing or novel) findings are revealed.

  • The main objective of this paper is to establish certain unified integral formula involving the product of the generalized Mittag-Leffler type function $E^{({\gamma}_j),(l_j)}_{({\rho}_j),{\lambda}}[z_1,{\ldots},z_r]$ and the Srivastava's polynomials $S^m_n[x]$. We also show how the main result here is general by demonstrating some interesting special cases.

On Two Sequences of Polynomials Satisfying Certain Recurrence

  • Bae and Kim displayed a sequence of 4th degree self-reciprocal polynomials whose maximal zeros are related in a very nice and far from obvious way. Kim showed that the auxiliary polynomials in their results are related to Chebyshev polynomials. In this paper, we study two sequences of polynomials satisfying the recurrence of the auxiliary polynomials with generalized initial conditions. We obtain same results with the auxiliary polynomials from a sequence, and some interesting conjectural properties about resultants and discriminants from another sequence.

  • In this paper, we first find a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of multiple orthogonal polynomials by the moments of a pair of measures $(d{\mu},\;dv)$ and then give representations for multiple orthogonal polynomials. We also prove four term recurrence relations for multiple orthogonal polynomials of type II and several interesting relations for multiple orthogonal polynomials are given. A generalized recurrence relation for multiple orthogonal polynomials of type I is found and then four term recurrence relations are obtained as a special case.
