  • In this paper, we de ne an extension $f^*:[a,b]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ of function $f^*:[a,b]_{\mathbb{T}}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ for a time scale ${\mathbb{T}}$ and prove the convergence theorems for the Henstock delta integral on time scales.

  • In this paper, we define an extension $f^*:[a,\;b]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ of a function $f:[a,\;b]_{\mathbb{T}}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ for a time scale $\mathbb{T}$ and show that f is McShane delta integrable on $[a,\;b]_{\mathbb{T}}$ if and only if $f^*$ is McShane integrable on [a, b].

다방향 쇄파 발생 전후의 파랑 성분간 에너지 전이 및 소산 (Energy Dissipation and Transfer among Wave Components during Directional Breaking Processes)

  • Wave energy dissipation and energy transfer between wave components, during the directional wave breakings, are investigated. Directional incipient and plunging breakers were generated by focusing the multi-frequency and multi-directional wave components at a designed location, based on a constant wave amplitude and a constant wave steepness frequency spectrum. The time series of surface wave elevation was measured at 9 different locations around the wave focusing point, using a wave gauge array. In order to examine the variation of the directional spreading function, the horizontal velocity of fluid motion was also measured. By comparing energy spectrums, before and after the breaking, the characteristics of energy dissipation and energy transfer, caused by wave breaking, are investigated. Their dependencies on directionality, as well as frequency, are analyzed. The breakings significantly dissipate wave energy, through energy transfer, in the upper region of the peak-frequency band, while enhancing wave energy in the low-frequency band.

  • This paper surveys recent remarkable progress in the study of potential theory for symmetric stable processes. It also contains new results on the two-sided estimates for Green functions Poisson kernels and Martin kernels of discontinuous symmetric $alpha$ -stable process in bounded $C^{1,1}$ open sets. The new results give ex-plicit information on how the comparing constants depend on pa-rametrer $alpha$ and consequently recover the green function and Poisson kernel estimates for Brownian motion by passing $alpha{\uparrow}2$. In addition to these new estimates this paper surveys recent progress in the study of notions of harmonicity integral representation of harmonic func-tions boundary harnack inequality conditional gauge and intrinsic ultracontractivity for symmetric stable processes.   • This paper deals with a modified repetitive control method for compensating automatic gauge control (AGC) to reduce the effect of skid mark which directly influence the quality of products in plate mill process. Since the skid mark on the plate have thermal difference, it makes a different stretching rate and deflection of thickness. Firstly, the (AGC) system and the plate mill process are described by considering function in each control levels. The skid mark of the plate in practical control fields is shown. Also, its frequency variation is given by on-line FFT analysis method.   • In this paper, we define an extension $f^*:[a,b]{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ of a function $f^*:[a,b]_{\mathbb{T}}{\rightarrow}\mathbb{R}$ for a time scale $\mathbb{T}$ and show that $f$ is Henstock delta integrable on $[a,b]_{\mathbb{T}}$ if and only if $f^*$ is Henstock integrable on $[a, b]$.

  • A strain modal testing method has been applied to a cantilever beam to investigate the characteristics of the method. By applying the method to an analytical and an experimental system, it was shown that accurate modal parameters can be estimated from strain frequency response functions using a current modal parameter extraction algorithm. The modal parameters estimated by the method are more accurate than those by the conventional method which uses accelerometers when the tested system is of light weight. The method can be used to predict strain responses and excitation forces for given excitation forces and responses, respectively. Cracks on a structure can be detected by measuring strian FRFs and comparing them with the original ones.

  • State estimation in power system is to estimate state variable value which minimizes the error from the real state measured by the gauge and connection state of the circuit breaker. In the past, it was difficult to determine measure function considering the correlation of the measured values. In this paper, an extended state estimation is proposed to process easily various kinds of estimation variable. The proposed algorithm is developed by expanding state variable concept based on many measured values and treating correlation between estimation variable and state variable, it is considered that the state variable satisfy some limitations named "Equality Limitation conditions".

Pressure Measurement Using Field Electron Emission Phenomena

  • Adsorption of residual gas molecules damped the emission current of a W (310) field electron emission (FE) emitter. The damping speed was linearly proportional to the pressure gauge readings at pressure ranging from ${\sim}10^{-8}Pa$ to ${\sim}10^{-9}Pa$, and the proportionality constant was employed to measure pressure in the $10^{-10}Pa$ range. A time plot of FE current revealed the existence of an "initial stable region" after the flash heating of W(310) FE, during which the FE current damps very slowly. The presence of non-hydrogen gas removed this region from the plot, supplying a means of qualitatively analysing the gas species.

  • Oscillatory wheel load fluctuation of considerable amplitude is almost always observed on railway vehicle running at high speed. From the acceleration measured on the axle-box, the frequency of this fluctuation is estimated to be approximately within 70 Hz. By the conventional measuring method, continuous outputs of wheel load can not be obtained, so it is difficult to investigate such a high frequency phenomenon exactly. We have developed a new method of measuring the forces and derailment coefficient continuously, using two pairs of strain gauge bridges whose output phases are shifted by 90 degree, and summing up the outputs with a weighting function. This method is available for measuring the forces between wheel and rail up to high frequency. In this paper, continuous method of measuring forces between wheel and rail and derailment coefficient.
