In this paper, the concept of maximal ideals relative to a filter on posets is introduced and examined. An intrinsic characterization of distributive lattices is obtained. In addition, we also give a characterization of pseudo primes in semicontinuous lattices and a characterization of semicontinuous lattices. Functions of semicontinuous lattices which are order preserving and semicontinuous are studied. A new concept of semiarithmetic lattices is introduced and examined.

This paper describes the general approach to ISDN operation & maintenance. First we focused on the CCITT SG XVIII activities on the ISDN. As a general principles for operating and maintaining an ISDN they propose TMN(Telecommunication Management Network) concept which specifies several OM function modules and standard interfaces. Based on the concept we studied proper methodology to set up an efficient OM structure under the ISDN environments.

The concept of sub-independence is based on the convolution of the distributions of the random variables. It is much weaker than that of independence, but is shown to be sufficient to yield the conclusions of important theorems and results in probability and statistics. It also provides a measure of dissociation between two random variables which is much stronger than uncorrelatedness. Inspired by the excellent work of Jin and Lee (2014), we present certain characterizations of gamma distribution based on the concept of sub-independence.

We developed a wireless communication system for multiple instrumentation system. The developed system has a function of remote instrumentation and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller) control. The system consists of CC(Control and Communication) protocol, wireless media access and physical media system. For multiple wireless communication, we propose a hub polling protocol based on master-slave control concept. To show the validity of the developed system, several experiments are illustrated.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of a generalized right f-derivation associated with a derivation d and a function f in 𝚪-incline algebras and give some properties of 𝚪-incline algebras. Also, the concept of d-ideal is introduced in a 𝚪-incline algebra with respect to right f-derivations.

The early-phase naval ship design demands requirements synthesis rather than design synthesis, which conducts engineering design for several domains on a detailed level. Requirements synthesis focuses on creating a balanced set of required operational capabilities satisfying user's needs and concept of operations. Requirements are evolved from capability based languages to function based language by statistical exploration and engineering design which are derived in the following order: concept alternative, concept baseline, initial baseline and functional baseline. The early-phase naval ship design process can be divided into three passes: concept definition, concept exploration and concept development. Main activities and outcomes in each pass are shortly presented. Concept definition is the first important step that produces a concept baseline through extensive design space exploration promptly. Design space exploration applies a statistical approach to explore design trends of existing ships and produce feasible design range corresponding to concept alternative. It further helps naval systems engineers and operational researchers by inducing useful responses to user and stakeholders' questions at a sufficient degree of confidence and success in the very early ship design. The focus of this paper is on the flow of design space exploration, and its application to a high-speed patrol craft. Since the mid 1980s, the concept of logistics has become more important to the enterprises in strategic sense because it had aggrandized itself to more comprehensive and integrative concept. Therefore study on the service organization of the logistics system for customer’s satisfaction from the management’s point has been focused as one of the major subject in order to improve the logistics quality which would ultimately increase the value of logistics service. This study has been focused on what the port logistics functions and the factors of the port logistics quality are those Korean port managers acknowledge as important factor. And examins these port logistics quality levels and the port logistics value (port productivity, service results) obtained by the results of these activities while reviewing the relation of the custom value which the port managers evaluate in order to evaluate and promote the competitiveness of the Korean port. According to the study results the port logistics function which the Pusan Container Terminal managers recognized as important were customer service management the flexibility of the port facilities and curtailment of the original operation cost of the port. It also indicated that the managers recognized the importance of the customer-oriented terminal management as it showed a close relationship with the port quality level.

The purpose of this study is to understand the required concept in the architectural competition for public library and its application in design process. The research is based on the 27 design guideline of architectural competition for public library from 2009 to 2013 and, as a case study, the project for the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Library, the prize winner in 2014. Three required concepts; symbolism, function, and sustainability, are categorized through the analysis on the design guideline of 27 competitions and are identified. Symbolism is expressed by landmark forms based on the local characteristics. The function of public library means to provide services to everyone, regardless of age, race, gender, religion etc., as a local community. Sustainability is related to passive architecture for the maintenance and management of buildings. These three concepts for public library applied on the design process of Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Library and design elements in each process are categorized in three concepts. The results shows not only how closely the locality and a user are related, but also the changes in the appearance of a public library as time passed.
