This study wanted to confirm whether the DiSC behavior types of student pilots and instructors in the training course of Helicopter pilots affect the flight training achievement. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the distribution of DiSC behavior types of student pilots and instructors, student pilots had the largest number of Dominance with 40.2 percent, while Instructors had the highest number of conscientiousness with 46.5 percent. Second, it was analyzed that the flight training achievement was influenced by the behavior type of student pilots. In basic flight and aircraft type conversion flight, Steadiness had the highest achievement in flight training, and in tactical flight, conscientiousness was the highest. Third, the behavior patterns of student pilots and instructors have been confirmed to have interaction effects in tactical flight.

Currently, flight training is not only a technical instruction that teaches maneuvering operations, but has expertise equal to that of general disciplines. Therefore, flight instructors must have academic knowledge and flight skills. As flight instructors are the first teacher in flight training for students who have never experienced actual flight control, the behavior of flight instructors will affect the students' flight education. Therefore, the influence of flight instructors for students are quite large compared to other educational institutions. In this study, the factors of instructional behavior were determined, and the actual state of instructional behavior of flight instructors were confirmed through students' survey. Improvements were derived to solve the problems identified in the survey results. For the follow-up analysis, improvements were applied to the flight instructors for 8 months, and then re-question was conducted to the same students who responded to the first questionnaire to find out the difference in results before and after through a paired t-test.

The response to climate change of international air transport industry might be initiated by ICAO's CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) which will impact on international airlines' flight operation behavior in the future. Though the airlines' efforts to reduce fuel consumption has been a major issue in economics of aviation industry, the improvement of fuel efficiency in flight operation will have additional impact on their profitability by introducing carbon emission cost. The fuel consumption in flight operation will be somewhat influenced by pilots' technical action for maneuvering aircraft during flight operation. This study will investigate pilots' behavior on decision for tactical aircraft control for mission flight. The data will be collected by the survey through sample pilots asking about their intention and perception on fuel savings during flight operations. The data will be analyzed by AHP process and the study will find out the elements and factors influencing pilots' behavior on technical decision of flight and their weights on fuel saving effects.

This study aims to provide information necessary for developing a "Competency-Based Training and Evaluation Plan" for general aviation flight instructors in Korea. General aviation training experts designed a survey by selecting "Behavior Indicators" from the ICAO Flight Instructor Competency Model. This study analyses the importance of Behavioral Indicators, the level of instructor performance, and the training needs for flight instructors. According to the factor analysis, ICAO "Flight Instructor Competency Model" is found as a valid tool to measure general aviation flight instructor competencies. According to the training needs analysis, flight instructors training program needs to be improved on "Training Environment Management", "Teaching Method", and "Interaction" competencies. When compared with trainee group, flight instructors & examiners have a higher training demand for "Teaching & Learning Environment Management". This study suggests the flight instructor training program requires to be reorganized based on the competencies related to the flight instructor duties in the training environments.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of Student Majoring in Flight Operation's propensity, safety behavior and aeronautical decision-making. According to the analysis results, First, parents' criticism of perfectionism factor is found to have a negative effect on safety behavior. Second, student pilot's proactive personality has a positive impact on both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior. Third, both safety participation behavior and safety compliance behavior are found to have a significant effect on situation awareness, solution generation and solution implementation of decision making stages. Therefore, this study is intended to provide useful basic data that can be applied to studies such as appropriate psychological counseling, optimal training directions and teaching methods in order to cultivate excellent human resources through safe flight training.

A startup airline is motivating its flight attendants to do voluntary and effective safety behavior as well as setting up safety culture in its organization at the same time in the early stage of revenue-flight service due to the lack of flight operation experience compared to competing airlines. Based on the sample of flight attendants from a startup airline, this paper tried to perform empirical analysis which focused on relationship among safety leadership, safety motivation and safety behavior. According to empirical analysis, it was proven psychological resources had a significantly positive effect on work engagement. Work engagement is proven to have a significantly positive effect on both flight attendants' safety motivation and their safety work. It was also implied that flight attendants couldn't understand a contradictory attitude of their leaders because leaders had them focus on safety work engagement while not providing enough human resource and capital. In addition, it was found leader's excessive emphasizing safety policy might not result in flight attendants' safety behavior.

Screw in injection molding machine is affected by heat flux, pressure on inside barrel, geometry of screw including flight number, pitch and flight angle. Volumetric efficiency increases as the flight number increases, but it didn't show steady tendency according to helix angle of flight. Heat flux from heating pad and injection pressure play a very important role on the thermal behavior characteristics. The increased number of multi-flight is merits and demerits for a screw efficiency. So, we have to optimize flight number of the screw considering temperature, displacement, distortion and stress of the screw.

항공기 사고는 다른 교통수단과 비교하여 생존 확률이 낮은 것이 특징이며, 주요 원인으로 규정 위반, 의사소통 등과 같은 인적요인에 의한 것으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 사고 예방을 위한 안전관리시스템의 활성화는 단순히 운항승무원에게 규정 준수를 강조하기보다는 스스로 안전문화의 중요성을 인식하고, 안전행동에 적극적으로 임하는 것이 중요한 핵심 변수이며, 잘 갖추어진 규정일지라도 안전문화, 안전분위기, 안전행동의 수준에 따라 그 효율성이 달라진다. 본 연구에서는 국내 운항승무원의 안전문화 인식도 조사를 통하여 안전문화가 안전행동에 미치는 상관관계를 검증하였으며, 그 결과 공정문화와 자율보고는 활성화가 미흡하여 안전행동에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 안전문화와 안전행동의 특성을 확인하여 안전관리시스템의 성과를 제고하고자 한다.

NiTiZrSiSn bulk metallic glass powder was produced using inert gas atomization and then was sprayed onto a SS 41 mild steel substrate using the kinetic spraying process. Through this study, the effects of thermal energy of in-flight particle and crystallization degree by powder preheating temperature were evaluated. The deformation behavior of bulk metallic glass is very interesting and it is largely dependent on the temperature. The crystalline phase formation at impact interface was dependent on the in-flight particle temperature. In addition, variations in the impact behavior need to be considered at high strain rate and in-flight particle temperature.

The safe operation of military aircraft is crucial for national defense to prevent unnecessary loss of combat power. With the advancement of technology, the proportion of accidents caused by mechanical defects is decreasing compared to the beginning of aviation history, but the proportion of accidents caused by human factors is increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to identify factors that enhance flight safety behavior from various perspectives and explore related mechanisms. In this study, we examined the relationship between Air Force aircrew's calling and their flight safety behavior. With a sample of 357 Air Force aircrew, we found a significant positive relationship between calling and flight safety behavior, with affective commitment and moral duty mediating this relationship in parallel. We discussed theoretical and practical implications of the study based on these results.
