REDUCED PROPERTY OVER IDEMPOTENTS

  • This article concerns the property that for any element a in a ring, if a2n = an for some n ≥ 2 then a2 = a. The class of rings with this property is large, but there also exist many kinds of rings without that, for example, rings of characteristic ≠2 and finite fields of characteristic ≥ 3. Rings with such a property is called reduced-over-idempotent. The study of reduced-over-idempotent rings is based on the fact that the characteristic is 2 and every nonzero non-identity element generates an infinite multiplicative semigroup without identity. It is proved that the reduced-over-idempotent property pass to polynomial rings, and we provide power series rings with a partial affirmative argument. It is also proved that every finitely generated subring of a locally finite reduced-over-idempotent ring is isomorphic to a finite direct product of copies of the prime field {0, 1}. A method to construct reduced-over-idempotent fields is also provided.

  • 지난 수년 동안 고집적 변압기를 이용한 고집적 전원장치가 연구되어 왔다 이러한 고집적 전원장치를 구현하기 위해 직렬 공진컨버터가 꾸준히 적용되어 왔으며, 본 논문에서는 고집적 LLCT 평면 변압기를 적용한 Half-bridge 직렬 공진컨버터에 대해 서술하였다. 뿐만 아니라 고집적 LLCT 평면 변압기 구조에 대해 FEMM을 이용하여 해석하였고, 이론적인 해석과 300W급 시제품을 제작하여 실험 결과를 증명하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to apply the numerical solution procedure to compute conduction time series factors (CTSF) for construction materials with large thermal capacities. After modifying the procedure in Ref. [9], it is applied to find the CTSF for the wall type 19 and the roof type 18 of ASHRAE. The response periods for one hr pulse load are longer than 24hrs for these wall and roof. The CTSF generated using modified procedure agree well with the values presented in the ASHRAE handbook. The modified procedure is a general procedure that can be applied to find CTSF for materials with complex structures. For the large thermal capacity materials, it should be checked whether thermal response period of the material is over 24hr or not. With suggested solution procedure, it is easy to check the validity of the CTSF based on 24hr period.

구조물에 작용하는 풍압력의 시계열 분석 (Time Series Analysis of Wind Pressures Acting on a Structure)

  • 한 구조물에 작용하는 풍압력 시계열이 자기회귀 이동평균(ARMA) 모델을 사용하여 모델화 된다. AR 과정에서 시계열의 현재 값은 유한한 수의 이전 값들의 선형적 결합과 한 백색잡음에 의해 나타난다. MA 과정에서 시계열의 현재값은 유한한 수의 이전 백색잡음들에 선형적이다. ARMA 과정은 AR과 MA 과정의 결합이다. 본 논문에서, AR, MA와 ARMA 모델이 풍압력 시계열에 적용되고, 데이터를 나타내기에 가장 적합한 ARMA 모델을 선정하는 과정이 소개된다. 모델의 변수들은 최대 가능도법을 사용하여 산정되고, 압력 시계열의 시간적 복잡성의 척도인 모델 차수를 최적화하기 위해 AICC 모델 선정 기준이 사용된다. 또한, 모델의 유효성을 조사하기 위해 LBP 검사가 사용된다. 본 연구로부터, AR 과정이 풍압력 시계열을 나타내기에 가장 적합하다는 결론이 얻어진다.

A Simultaneous Test for Multivariate Normality and Independence with Application to Univariate Residuals

  • A test is suggested for detecting deviations from both multivariate normality and independence. This test can be used for assessing the normality and independence of univariate time series residuals. We derive the limiting distribution of the test statistic and a simulation study is conducted to study the accuracy of the limiting distribution in finite samples. Finally, we apply our method to a real data of time series.

알멘 스트립 시험 모사를 이용한 유한요소모델의 유효성 검증 및 잔류응력분포 계산 (Verification of Finite Element Model Using the Almen Strip Test and Its Applications to Calculate Residual Stress Distribution)

  • We performed a shot peening test and used a 2-D finite element model which predicts the compressive residual stress distribution below the material's surface. In this study, the concept of 'impact cycle' is introduced to account for the irregularity in the shot's impact position during testing. The impact cycle was imbedded in the finite element model. In the shot peening test, shot bombarded a type-A Almen strip surface with different impact velocities. To verify the proposed finite element model, we compared the deformed cross sectional shape of the Almen strips with the shapes computed by the proposed finite element model. Good agreement was noted between measurements and the finite element model predictions. With the verified finite element model, a series of finite element simulations was conducted to compute the residual stress distribution below the material's surface and the characteristics of these distributions are discussed.
