대한해협에서의 지진해일 전파특성과 지진해일고의 확률적 기술 (Characteristics of Tsunami Propagation through the Korean Straits and Statistical Description of Tsunami Wave Height)

  • 본 연구에서는 강건한 지진해일모형인 비선형 천수 방정식에 기초하여 대한해협을 통과하는 지진해일의 전파특성에 관해 연구하였다. 지진해일은 쓰시마-고토 단층대에서 우리나라에 영향을 미친 지진 중 비교적 출현 빈도가 높은 리히터 규모 7.5의 지진에 의해 발생하는 것으로 가정하였다. 수치모의 결과 지진해일의 선도파랑이 대한해협을 횡단하는데 60분 정도가 소요되며 이는 지진해일 경보 시스템이 대피시간의 부족으로 인해 그 기능을 발휘하지 못할 수도 있음을 시사한다. 또한 전 쓰시마-고토 단층대에서 동일한 생기빈도를 가지는 지진사상에 대해 Kajiura(1963)의 동수역학 모형과 간단한 지진학적 모형을 활용한 지진해일 재해 모형이 제시되었다. 제시된 지진해일 재해 모형을 활용하여 우리나라 남해안 마산, 여수, 통영, 고흥 전면 해역에서의 각 수위별 지진해일고의 초과확률이 제시되었다. 이와 더불어 본고에서 제시한 지진해일 재해모형의 검증은 관측자료가 비교적 풍부한 동해 동연 오쿠시리 해령에서 1993년에 발생한 북해도 남서외해 지진해일과 Akita and Fukaura 두 곳에서 관측된 수위자료를 대상으로 수행되어 매우 고무적인 결과를 얻었다. 이 연구 결과들은 지진해일의 위험에 대한 연안방계 시스템의 설계기준의 수정을 위한 가치 있는 자료들로 활용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.

  • 해양에너지는 무궁무진한 부존량을 지니고 있으며 2차적인 환경문제를 야기 시키는 위험성이 상대적으로 작기 때문에 더욱 기대가 모아지고 있다. 우리나라의 서해안은 조수간만의 차가 크기 때문에 해양에너지 중에서도 조력발전을 통한 대규모 신재생에너지 창출이 유리한 지역이다. 아울러 조력발전을 위한 발전소를 해상에 설치 할 경우, 댐 건설에 따른 교량효과, 관광자원효과 및 만내 하천범람을 조절효과 등 다목적의 개발 기대효과를 얻을 수 있다. 조력발전을 위해서는 외해 조석과 발전소 운전에 따른 조지수위 변화에 따라 결정되는 가용수두가 크고, 비교적 광역의 조지면적이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 가용수두가 클 뿐만 아니라, 만입구가 좁고, 만내에 넓은 조지면적을 지닌 서해안에 위치한 가로림만에 조력발전소를 건설할 경우, 조력발전에 따른 효과를 예측하는데 있어서 필수적인 수리특성의 변화를 EFDC모델을 이용한 수치모형실험을 통해 검토하였다. 검토 결과, 조력발전 입지로서의 가로림만의 입지타당성을 확인하였으며, 대상지역은 창조시의 유속보다는 낙조시의 유속이 빠르기 때문에 낙조시 유속이 빠른 서측수로에 수차발전기를 설치하고 동측수로에 수문을 설치해야 하는 등의 설계 지견을 얻을 수 있었다.

처분부지의 수리지질 특성 (Hydrogeological characteristics of the LILW disposal site)

  • 중 저준위방사성폐기물 처분부지에 대한 건설 및 운영 인허가 취득을 위한 종합적인 부지특성조사가 사업자인 한국수력원자력(주)의 책임 하에 이루어졌으며, 수리지질조사는 부지의 수리지질학적 특성 해석과 방사선적 안전성 평가를 위한 기초자료 생산을 목적으로 수행되었다. 처분부지의 수리지질특성은 주로 지표에서 이루어진 지질조사, 시추조사, 각종 수리시험 및 지구물리탐사 자료를 종합적으로 분석하여 수리지질체계의 특성을 평가하고, 이를 토대로 수리토양영역, 3 개의 수리암반영역 및 5 개의 투수성구조영역으로 구성되는 수리-구조모델을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 수리-구조모델과 수리인자는 지하수유동모델 해석 업무에 직접 이용되었다. 본 논문의 결과는 지표조사단계에서 얻어진 자료에 근거한 것이므로 수리지질특성과 관련된 제반 조사방법에 가정과 불확실성이 내재되어 있다. 따라서 현재 진행 중인 지하시설 건설과정에 취득되는 직접적인 수리지질특성 관련 자료를 종합적으로 재 해석함으로써 부지특성조사 단계에서의 가정과 불확실성을 저감시킬 수 있고, 최종적인 수리-구조모델의 신뢰성 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, PBTI characteristics of NMOSFETs with La incorporated HfSiON and HfON are compared in detail. The charge trapping model shows that threshold voltage shift (${\Delta}V_{\mathrm{T}}$) of NMOSFETs with HfLaON is greater than that of HfLaSiON. PBTI lifetime of HfLaSiON is also greater than that of HfLaON by about 2~3 orders of magnitude. Therefore, high charge trapping rate of HfLaON can be explained by higher trap density than HfLaSiON. The different de-trapping behavior under recovery stress can be explained by the stable energy for U-trap model, which is related to trap energy level at zero electric field in high-k dielectric. The trap energy level of two devices at zero electric field, which is extracted using Frenkel-poole emission model, is 1,658 eV for HfLaSiON and 1,730 eV for HfLaON, respectively. Moreover, the optical phonon energy of HfLaON extracted from the thermally activated gate current is greater than that of HfLaSiON.

인터넷 구매결정과정에서의 관여도의 조절효과에 관한 연구 (Examining the Moderating Effect of Involvement in the Internet Purchase Decision Process)

  • With the explosive growth of the Internet, Internet shopping malls have become recognized as one of the major purchasing channels for consumers, as well as one of the competitive distribution channels for companies that allow them to contact with customers without intermediaries. It has motivated information systems(IS) researchers to examine the factors influencing consumer behavior and the purchase decision process in the context of Internet shopping malls. Despite the extensive research that has been conducted on the purchase decision process of consumers in online shopping malls, the results have demonstrated a need for further understanding of consumer behavior due to the unique features of virtual space and the characteristics of online consumers. Previous studies from marketing and consumer behavior domains have suggested that the concept of involvement plays an important role in explaining consumers' purchase behavior. Despite the critical role of involvement and the explosive growth of e-commerce, little research has examined the role of involvement in the Internet shopping mall context. With this motivation, this study has two research objectives. First, it introduces and tests an theoretical model capable of better explaining consumers' intention to purchase in the Internet shopping mall context. The proposed model extends and integrates existing models on purchase intention by incorporating purchase experience, innovativeness, and perceived self-control as the consumer factors, along with perceived risk, information provision, and perceived price as the Internet shopping mall factors. Second, this study examines how involvement differences may affect consumers' intention to purchase. For this purpose, two factors from involvement theory, involvement type and involvement level, are introduced into the research model as moderating variables. In order to test the proposed model, the overall approach employed was a field study using the structural equation model. We developed our data collection instrument by adopting existing validated questions wherever possible. All question items were measured with a seven-point, Likert-type scale, with anchors ranging from 'strongly disagree' to 'strongly agree.' Two IS researchers reviewed the instrument and checked its face validity. We collected empirical data for this study over a period of two weeks from subjects who had purchase experiences through Internet shopping malls. A total of 473 complete and valid responses were obtained. We carried out data analysis using a two-step methodology with AMOS 4.0. The first step in the data analysis was to establish the convergent and discriminant validity of the constructs. In the second step, we examined the structural model based on the cleansed measurement model. The empirical results partly support the proposed model and identify the moderating effect of involvement differences. Theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed, along with its limitations.

지반의 침식 및 연행작용을 고려한 토석류 해석 모델 제안 (A Proposed Analytical Model for the Debris Flow with Erosion and Entrainment of Soil Layer)

  • 본 연구에서는 지반침식 및 연행작용을 고려한 토석류 해석을 위한 모델을 개발하였으며, 이를 대변형 3차원 유한요소 해석을 통해 거동을 분석하였다. 지반침식 및 연행작용을 고려한 토석류 해석 모델은 토석류에 의한 지반의 변형속도에 따른 전단강도 감소를 고려하였으며, 대변형 해석은 Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL)기법을 이용하였다. 모델의 적정성을 확인하기 위하여 지반침식 및 연행작용을 고려한 실내실험(Mangeny et al., 2010)을 모사하여 거동을 비교하였으며, 또한 실제 발생한 우면산 래미안 유역의 토석류를 대상으로 연행작용을 고려한 해석과 고려하지 않은 해석 결과를 비교함으로써 연행작용에 따른 토석류의 거동 및 피해영향 범위를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 실내 모형실험의 결과를 적절히 모사할 수 있었으며, 실제 유역규모의 해석에서도 토석류의 흐름에 의해 원지반의 침식 및 연행작용을 모사할 수 있었으며 연행작용으로 인해 유하부로 흘러내려오는 토석류의 체적과 속도가 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 이로 인하여 본 연구에서 제안한 해석 모델은 지반의 침식 및 연행작용을 고려하여 토석류의 속도, 토석류의 규모 및 피해 면적을 적절히 예측할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

설계 프로세스를 반영한 BIM 작성 기준(LOD)에 대한 연구 (A Study of LOD(Level of Detail) for BIM Model applied the Design Process)

  • BIM(Building Information Modeling) ordering manuals and guidelines are diffused with the recent BIM activation. However, it is causing drawbacks such as an increase of work at each design stage and a decline of BIM application level that the standard of making up and managing BIM is vague and it includes comprehensive meaning. Therefore, this study aims to secure BIM work standard by establishing BIM making-out standard based on LOD(Level of Detail) classification considering domestic design process. It compared each definition of LOD by analyzing domestic and foreign BIM guideline examples, and figured out insufficiency of existing domestic and foreign design process and BIM guidelines. Moreover, it drew architects' work articles for promoting the progression of the efficient design process, and analyzed BIM requirements on design process, dividing BIM application scale by field. Through this analyzing process, it finally established BIM making-out standard classified by design process. The effects of establishing BIM making-out standard would include improving a division of labor and cooperation environment by creating integrated BIM model on design stages, advancing work efficiency by preventing a repetition and an increase of work, and upgrading project completeness and design quality. Besides, it can secure BIM work standard by clarifying responsibility for working steps. BIM making-out standard established by this study will contribute to developing the future BIM work standard document and BIM guideline as a data base.

수중운동체의 실린더 관 내부 이동시 작용력 예측에 대한 실험적 접근 (Experimental Approach for Estimation of Hydrodynamic Force Acting on a Submerged Streamlined Body Translating in a One-end-opened Cylindrical Tube)

  • The main object of this experiment is to estimate the hydrodynamic forces acting on a submerged streamlined body placed in a one-end-opened cylindrical tube moving with certain translational velocity. The best experimental design for this object is mimicking real situation, however sizes of model body and cylinder tube are just the same as those of real, for avoiding scale effects, mimicking real situation is not realizable. Hence, in this experiment, target body and cylindrical tube were designed to be towed with varying body position relative to cylindrical tube. For measuring hydrodynamic forces and flow velocity in the cylindrical tube, six one-component load cells and several one-hole Pitot tubes were used. Several conditions were checked with various end-plates those had different opening areas. Experiment results show that forces and flow velocity had different tendency with those expected, and the presence of a end-plate slows down the flow velocity in the cylindrical tube and affects pressure field in the tube to push the model submerged body forward of the tube. This tendency grows with decreasing opened area.

A Study of Transient Estuarine Circulation in the Chunsu Bay, Yellow Sea: Impact of Freshwater Discharge by Artificial Dikes

  • This study examined the ef ects of freshwater discharge by artificial dikes from the Kanwol and Bunam lakes on the dynamics in the Chunsu Bay, Yellow Sea, Korea, during the summer season based on three-dimensional numerical modeling experiments. Model performances were evaluated in terms of skill scores for tidal elevation, velocity, temperature, and salinity and these scores mostly exceeded 90 %. The variability in residual currents before and after the freshwater discharge was examined. The large amount of lake water discharge through artificial dikes may result in a dramatically changed density field in the Chunsu Bay, leading to an estuarine circulation system. The density-driven current formed as a result of the freshwater inflow through the artificial dikes (Kanwol/Bunam) caused a partial change in the tidal circulation and a change in the scale and location of paired residual eddies. The stratification formed by strengthened static stability following the freshwater discharge led to a dramatic increase in the Richardson number and lasted for a few weeks. The strong stratification suppressed the vertical flux and inhibited surface aerated water mixing with bottom water. This phenomenon would have direct and indirect impacts on the marine environment such as hypoxia/anoxia formation at the bottom.

  • Vapor Axial Deposition (VAD), one of optical fiber preform fabrication processes, is performed by deposition of submicron-size silica particles that are synthesized by combustion of raw chemical materials. In this study, flow field is assumed to be a forced uniform flow perpendicularly impinging on a rotating disk. Similarity solutions obtained in our previous study are utilized to solve the particle transport equation. The particles are approximated to be in a polydisperse state that satisfies a lognormal size distribution. A moment model is used in order to predict distributions of particle number density and size simultaneously. Deposition of the particles on the disk is examined considering convection, Brownian diffusion, thermophoresis, and coagulation with variations of the forced flow velocity and the disk rotating velocity. The deposition rate and the efficiency directly increase as the flow velocity increases, resulting from that the increase of the forced flow velocity causes thinner thermal and diffusion boundary layer thicknesses and thus causes the increase of thermophoretic drift and Brownian diffusion of the particles toward the disk. However, the increase of the disk rotating speed does not result in the direct increase of the deposition rate and the deposition efficiency. Slower flow velocity causes extension of the time scale for coagulation and thus yields larger mean particle size and its geometric standard deviation at the deposition surface. In the case of coagulation starting farther from the deposition surface, coagulation effects increases, resulting in the increase of the particle size and the decrease of the deposition rate at the surface.
