This study analyzed the effect of the extracurricular activity management system on user satisfaction. For this purpose, the effects of content, navigation, screen frame, design, interaction, and error handling factors on user satisfaction were analyzed. A survey was conducted on 321 students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do, and the research results based on the survey contents are as follows. First, content, navigation, screen frame, interactivity, and error handling, which are major elements of the extracurricular activity management system, showed statistically significant results. Second, interactivity and error handling were found to have the greatest influence on the factors affecting user satisfaction of the extracurricular activity management system. In this study, it was found that the interaction of the whole system including contents is important for continuous improvement of the extracurricular activity management system, and that it has a positive effect on user satisfaction when prompt error handling is possible.

This thesis is a research to develop mathematical problems related to every day life, and to apply to mathematical extracurricular activity. The conclusions are as followings; (1) The materials of mathematical extracurricular activity totaling 34 hours' class time were developed and its theaching methods were thought out. (2) Through studying the mathematical problems related to everyday life, we could create a lively atmosphere in the classroom. (3) Through studying the mathematical problems related to everyday life, we could change the learning attitude of students affirmatively and make the students solve the problems for themselves. (4) We could try to build up to the management of mathematical extracurricular activity.

본 연구는 이론적 견해와 현실의 불일치 속에서 점차 확대되어 가는 유아교육기관의 방과 후 특별활동에 대한 의미를 탐색해보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 방과 후 특별활동 프로그램이 시행되고 있는 세 곳의 유아교육기관의 수업현장을 관찰하였으며 강사와의 면담을 실시하여 그 의미를 탐색해 보았다. 연구 결과, 유아교육기관에서의 방과 후 특별활동은 유아들에게 '새로움과 즐거움의 공존', '학습으로서의 의미', '다양한 교수 매체 경험'과 정규수업과 다른 현실 속에서 '피할 수 없는 한계'로 분석해 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 앞으로의 질 높은 방과 후 특별활동 교육이 이루어지기 위한 개선 방안으로 정규교육과정과 방과 후 특별활동 과정이 상호보완적 협의와 통합적 접근이 이루어져야하며 나아가 바람직한 방과 후 특별활동 과정을 위하여 수업환경 개선 및 강사의 지속적인 연수와 교육이 요구되어진다.

This study examines the effect of satisfaction with adolescent extracurricular activities on social withdrawal with a focus on the mediating effect of self-esteem and sense of community. We used data from the 3rd wave (2012) of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) collected by the National Youth Policy Institute for path analysis. Participants were 1,139 first year middle school students who participated in adolescent extracurricular activities. First, the degree of satisfaction with the adolescent extracurricular activities had an indirect effect on social withdrawal via self-esteem. Second, satisfaction with the adolescent extracurricular activities had an indirect effect on social withdrawal via a sense of community. Lastly, satisfaction with adolescent extracurricular activities had an indirect effect on social withdrawal via self-esteem and a sense of community. The research findings indicate that the level of social withdrawal is less when adolescents are satisfied with adolescent extracurricular activities and have a high level of self-esteem and sense of community. The results demonstrate that a satisfactory level of adolescent extracurricular activity would help adolescents decrease their social withdrawal by increasing the level of self-esteem and sense of community.

In response to a growing trend toward downward escalation of public school curriculum, the present study surveyed so-called extracurricular activities in kindergartens and analyzed teacher's perception of these activities. Questionnaires were mailed to 1300 private kindergartens and 1116 responses were received. Major findings were that over 89% of the respondents reported doing extracurricular activities in their kindergartens, mostly using 3-4 different kinds of special activities. The 3 most highly ranked lessons in order of frequency were English, art and physical activity. Whole group time was most often used for extracurricular activities. Kindergarten teachers were concerned with the qualifications of teachers for these activities. Teachers of these extra activities usually have no specialized training or supervised experience working with 3-through 5-year-old children.

실업계 고등학교에서 특기 적성활동의 일환으로 운영되고 있는 컴퓨터 강좌는 학생들의 정보격차를 해소하는 한편 매우 저렴한 비용으로 관련 자격증의 획득을 지원해 줌으로써 다양한 기여를 하고 있다고 하겠다. 본 연구는 컴퓨터 특기적성 수업에 참여하는 학생들의 만족도 유인요인에 대해 실증적 분석을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해, 컴퓨터 특기적성 수업의 만족도 또는 참여의도에 영향을 미친다고 생각하는 다양한 선행요인들을 체계적으로 분류 정리하고, 통계적 분석과정을 통해 유의한 요인들을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 전체적으로 연구모형의 타당성을 제시할 수 있었으며, 학생들의 참여의지에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 교육적 효과, 개인적 효과 그리고 즐거움 등을 도출하였다. 또한 교육환경은 교육적 효과와 즐거움에 영향을 미쳤으며, 교육컨텐츠의 질도 학습의 용이성과 즐거움에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판명되었다.

Extracurricular activities are voluntary participations that students engage in outside of classrooms. This study aimed to determine Korean pharmacy students' degree of involvement in extracurricular activities, motivations behind participation, and influences from those engagements. The study was performed as a voluntary online survey to pharmacy students in four pharmacy schools in Korea and a total of 188 students participated. Sixty-one percent and 34% of students reported that they were involved in at least one extracurricular activities in-school, and out-of-school, respectively. Areas with most involvements were arts/music/sports (73%), followed by volunteer activities (31%). Thirty two percent responded that they have been involved in research internships, followed by 15% and 10% in pharmaceutical company and community pharmacy internships, respectively. For motivations behind involvement, students indicated that their involvement was for hobby (72%) and networking (38%). In conclusion, while Korean pharmacy students actively engage in extracurricular activities, the range of activities was limited in scope, and most students were involved in extracurricular activities as hobbies rather than for career exploration. Opportunities for student involvement in various pharmacy professional organizations and internships in the pharmacy work setting would provide valuable experiences for pharmacy students in their professional development as a pharmacist.

본 연구는 정부의 보육료 지원 증가에도 불구하고, 가구에서 체감하는 교육 및 보육료 부담이 감소되지 못한다는 문제점에서 비롯하여 추가비용으로 지출되는 특별활동 비용에 미치는 요인을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 한국아동패널 4차년도 자료를 사용하여 분석한 결과, 기관 내 특별활동 여부는 있음이 68.5%였으며, 평균적으로 2.9개의 특별활동을 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 월평균 지출비용은 약 50천원이었다. 지역에 따라 특별활동 이용개수 및 지출비용을 살펴본 결과 지역 간의 차이는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 변수를 단계적으로 투입하여 특별활동 비용 지출에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석한 결과, 모 학력, 모 취업, 육아지원기관 유형, 지역변인이 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 이중 지역변인이 가장 큰 설명량을 차지하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 몇 가지의 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 특별활동 과목 내용 및 비용에 대한 구체적인 실태파악과 관리감독이 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 중앙정부차원에서의 필요경비에 대한 구체적인 기준제시가 필요하다. 셋째, 어린이집뿐만 아니라 유치원 등 아동이 이용하는 육아지원기관 전반에 걸쳐 특별활동 과목, 강사, 비용, 강사의 경력 등을 공개하고 주기적으로 모니터링해야 한다. 넷째, 취약계층 아동에 대한 특별활동 지원이 요구된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate diversity in the situations of multicultural families regarding the education of their children and to suggest rational ways of educating children in multicultural families. The participants in this study were 16 mothers from multicultural families typically characterized by an international marriage in which a Korean male had married a non-Korean female. The data were collected using intensive interviews over a course of three months and were analyzed by grounded theory. The results of this study showed that the participants had difficulty in adapting to the styles of educating children in Korean families and that they could not help their children do homework by themselves due to the limited personal relationships, the shortage of information about educating children, and an lack of organized education programs on Korean culture and history. Thus, they solved these problems by depending on different extracurricular activities and thus incurred a financial burden to support these activities. This led to excessive amounts of time and energy to earn the money to support the activities, which gave them few opportunities to acquire information on educating children by, for example, meeting with others. This explained their dependency on different extracurricular activities so as to solve the problem of their educating children. In an effort to seek ways to break this vicious circle, this study emphasized that policies related to educating children in multicultural families should focus on helping multicultural families strengthen their abilities to educate their children fundamentally.

Astronomical outreach activities for the general public who are unfamiliar to astronomy is a challenging task. It requires creative thinking to solve the problem. The amateur astronomical clubs in a number of cities in Indonesia routinely schedule observations at public parks. The interaction between these clubs and formal education institutions is established by face to face interaction and assisted by social media. The physics teachers who took astronomy courses in university are potential resources to enlarge the outreach scope by creating astronomical clubs as an extracurricular activity. Recent progressive trends in astronomy dissemination for the disabled are also a great opportunity to assist the disabled in experiencing hands-on activities based on formal and informal education.
