    • The purpose of nursing education is to prepare the professional pratictioner as nurse who will be interesteed in the health and the related aspects of community and will assume responsibility for con tributing toward the improvement of the health for the all. This means that nursing education must provide opportunities for the development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes which make this possible. Consequently, this approach has relavence for nursing education. Faculty engaged in endless debates about what is to be included, and to what de1th, and what will be given short shrift as a result. Thus, it can be seen why there is so much confusion and lack of agreement between the emphasis and objectives in nursing. This study attempted to review and identify the curriculum content of child nursing in Korea to build and develop the standard curriculum contents for national board examination for nurses and child's health needs for the coming 21st centry. The questionnaire was consisted of items for selection and organization of the knowledge components and type of unit with weigh to be attained in child nursing. Response of 34% of nursing program in university and junior college. Content analysis was done by using consensual validation of essential knowledge for curriculum content to identify what is obvious or trivial. This study pointed out that it is not yet apparent that demographic fact has greatly influenced child nursing curriculum content. In a similar vein the majority of content of child nursing devote little time and weigh to social and epidemically significant to child health. It seems to be needed that the content of child nursing may push the paradigm shift in nursing education such as health promotion and prevention for potentional roles of child and family. In conclusion, it is the time to convoke and debate for convergence of model on essential content and standarization on job analysis for national board exam for nurses in Korea.

    • Thus this study looked into existing literature focusing on generalities, and after literature studies, hypothesis was set up to solve the problems in the study. According to literature examination, self employed consulting was found to be comprised of four areas: awareness, reliability, satisfaction, and utilization, while consulting could be divided into four customer perspectives: customer, financial, internal processing, and learning and growth. An empirical study was conducted to verify the causal relationship between these causes, and we describe the findings of the study on the business management performance pursuant to self employed business consulting as follows: In this study, we examine an overall business management performance measurement by adopting the four variables of self employed business consulting, and enhance the chance of success by having systematic access to business establishment. In conclusion, in order to increase the success rate of the small business start-up, it is important to choose such items that fit the founder's experience and the characteristics of the business zone, and a successful founding of a business will be accomplished only when sufficient funding is combined with successful running, therefore, most importantly, striking a balance between the factors should start with the founder as the center, and there must be professional business knowledge and technical assistance by the business start-up support agency.

To achieve this purpose, 285 senior students of the dental hygiene department located in the Kwangju. Jeonnam area who took theory and practice courses of oral prophylaxis but only practiced the manikin from the second semester of 1st year were selected as the subjects. The following results were obtained. 1. In the manikin, the most difficult part was maxillary anterior lingual in the use of explorer, sickle scaler, and universal curet, and maxillary right posterior lingual was in the use of gracey curet. In the dentiform, the most difficult item was instrument stroke in the use of explorer, sickle scaler, universal curet and gracey curet. 2. The highest stressor was the lack of knowledge and skill in practice of oral prophylaxis, followed by the lack of confidence, and difference between theory and practice in oral prophylaxis. The overall practice satisfaction was 3.23 at oral prophylaxis. The highest satisfaction was found in patient and operator position(3.51), followed by basic skill(3.34), the way to use hand instrumentation(3.16), and the way to use oral examination instrumentation(3.01). 3. According to school records, satisfaction at oral prophylaxis practice satisfaction was 3.36 of good, 3.24 of fair, and 3.06 of poor, suggesting significant difference(p<0.05). Students who participated just in practice during a school term showed 3.47 of satisfaction. The highest satisfaction was found in a full-time professor as a professor in charge(3.24) and there was significant difference(p<0.05). 4. The highest correlated factor between oral prophylaxis theory and practice satisfaction was curriculum satisfaction. The use of hand instrumentation was found to have the greatest effect on the practice satisfaction at oral prophylaxis, followed by basic skill, the way of basic instrumentation, and position. • This study was performed to examine the presence of dysphagia and analyze characteristics of the symptoms in cerebrovascular accident(CVA) patients without awareness of dysphagia. A questionnaire for this study was given to CVA patients who had visited P rehabilitation medical center in Busan. Eleven patients (4 males and 7 females) who answered no awareness of dysphasia were given to VFSS, functional dysphasia scale, and NCSE. Descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis were performed by SPSS 12.0. All of subjects without awareness of dysphasia showed characteristics of dysphasia symptoms. Prominent dysfunctions were problems in oral phase and delay of swallowing reflex in pharyngeal phase. For the aspect of cognition, they showed lower score in construction, memory, and similarity than other NCSE items. There was highly significant correlation between orientation, judgment and delay of swallowing reflex. Verbal comprehension and residual materials in oral cavity showed closed correlation. CVA patients without awareness had dysphagia with high probability. The early evaluation of dysphagia should be performed in CVA patients in order to prevent complications due to CVA, so it is necessary to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation therapy.

    • The optotypes widely used as a necessity in the course of optometry are the world authorized versions which contain items such as the Landolt's rings, Snellen's chart and also Arabian numbers, Korean letters, Pictures and so on. In Korea, the Hahn-chun-suk test chart has been In use generally alolng with Chung-san test chart and Jin-yong-han test chart also in use on the wall. But these sort of test charts hung on the wall have some problems such as the difference in test results owing to the rate of illumination and so a more accurate method is required. To solve the problem of inaccuracy in optometry, the projected type of charts with digital instrument such as the beam projector has been developed lately. This chart projector with consistent high resolution and the ability to provide various charts can help eye examiner perform effective examination and thus is looked positively upon as the automated total optometry system. So in this study our purpose is to examine the accuracy of the projected chart. It was done by comparing it with the frequently used test chart. The results of experiment are as follow. When the projected chart was used, cases that subject read charts one step higher were 10%, two step higher 2% than perfectly corrected vision. When Han-chun-suk test chart was used, cases that subject read charts one step higher were 12%, and two step higher were 4%.

    • For the purpose of investigating the etiologic factors of early childhood caries in 18-month old infants which is an important period in pediatric dentistry, 234 infants of 18-month age and their first care-givers (mothers in most cases) who visited Ilsin Christian Hospital in Busan for the baby-care counseling and vaccination were examined. The oral examination was performed on the infants and their care-givers were individually interviewed about various items, and the data was statistically processed to yield the results as follows : 1. The prevalence rate of early childhood caries was 27.4%. 2. The percentage of the eldest child, the education level of the mother and monthly income were revealed lower in caries group infants. 3. The percentage of prolonged breast-feeding and the frequency of daily nursing was higher in early childhood caries group. 4. In early childhood caries group, the between-meal snacks were tend to be provided irregularly without predetermined time, and sugar containing snacks such as chocolates and candies were ranked in higher order whereas the fruits and milks were in lower ranks. 5. In early childhood caries group, the percentage of those performing the oral hygienic care was lower and the timing to start the toothbrushing was comparatively later. From the above results, it can be concluded that prolonged breast-feeding, poor snack habits and lower socioeconomic status act an important role in early childhood caries in 18-month old infants.
