  • A methods of minimizing the measurement error brought from gas compositions was proposed by Hot wire Anemometer which don't have measurement resistance to calculate of gas vent in sanitary landfill. It was determined measurement error to compared velocity at the center of pipe to calculate using rotor meter and density gas compositions with velocity at the center of pipe to calculate using water head indicator which don't have measurement resistance. Considering the methods of minimizing gas velocity in sanitary landfill using hot wire anemometer and rotor meter, it was found to minimize within 10% as error of gas vent in sanitary landfill.

  • This paper is about MPEG-4 error resilience tools of video streaming on packet service(ex, Internet). It is need to packetization for MPEG-4 video transport by packet unit on MPEG-4 system, this paper suggest packetization method of minimizing packet error on packet service[1]. FEC(Forward Error Correction) and retransmission is usually used for recovery of packet loss, and this paper suggest applying these method to DMIF(Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework) for minimizing packet loss[2].

  • In this paper, a self-tuning controller design is proposed by using pole-zero placement method and considering a system time delay. To got better tracking for the generalized self-tuning controller, pole placement method for the closed loop system and zero placement method for the error transfer function are Introduced. The proposed method shows better efficiency than pole placement method for minimizing tracking error. Simulation gives good results in tie reference signal tracking.

  • A new blind equalization algorithm that is based on maximizing the probability that the constant modulus errors concentrate near zero is proposed. The cost function of the proposed algorithm is to maximize the probability that the equalizer output power is equal to the constant modulus of the transmitted symbols. Two blind information-theoretic learning (ITL) algorithms based on constant modulus error signals are also introduced: One for minimizing the Euclidean probability density function distance and the other for minimizing the constant modulus error entropy. The relations between the algorithms and their characteristics are investigated, and their performance is compared and analyzed through simulations in multi-path channel environments. The proposed algorithm has a lower computational complexity and a faster convergence speed than the other ITL algorithms that are based on a constant modulus error. The error samples of the proposed blind algorithm exhibit more concentrated density functions and superior error rate performance in severe multi-path channel environments when compared with the other algorithms.

  • This paper aims at selecting the multi-response design with γ responses minimizing the bias error caused by fitting inadequate models to responses, where the first order models are fitted to Ρ responses fearing the quadratic bias, while to other γ- Ρ responses, the quadratic models are fitted fearing the cubic biases in the cuboidal region of interest. Under the assumption of symmetric design, by minimizing the criterion which represents the amount of error caused by fitting inadequate models, the optimum design was found to be the one having the design moments of second order and the fourth order as 1/3 and l/5, respectively. Examples of the design meeting the required conditions are given for illustration.

  • The imprecise real-time system provides flexibility in scheduling time-critical tasks. Most scheduling problems of satisfying both 0/1 constraint and timing constraints, while the total error is minimized, are NP complete when the optional tasks have arbitrary processing times. Liu suggested a reasonable strategy of scheduling tasks with the 0/1 constraint on uniprocessors for minimizing the total error. Song et al suggested a reasonable strategy of scheduling tasks with the 0/1 constraint on multiprocessors for minimizing the total error. But, these algorithms are all off-line algorithms. On the other hand, in the case of on line scheduling, Shih and Liu proposed the NORA algorithm which can find a schedule with the minimum total error for a task system consisting solely of on-line tasks that are ready upon arrival. But, for the task system with 0/1 constraint, it has not been known whether the NORA algorithm can be optimal or not in the sense that it guarantees all mandatory tasks are completed by their deadlines and the total error is minimized. So, this paper suggests an optimal algorithm to search minimum total error for the imprecise on-line real-time task system with 0/1 constraint. Furthermore, the proposed algorithm has the same complexity, O(N log N), as the NORA algorithm, where N is the number of tasks.

  • The imprecise computation technique ensures that all time-critical tasks produce their results before their deadlines by trading off the quality of the results for the computation time requirements of the tasks. In the imprecise computation, most scheduling problems of satisfying both 0/1 constraints and timing constraints, while the total error is minimized, are NP-complete when the optional tasks have arbitrary processing times. In the previous studies, the reasonable strategies of scheduling tasks with the 0/1 constraints on uniprocessors and multiprocessors for minimizing the total error are proposed. But, these algorithms are all off-line algorithms. Then, in the on-line scheduling, NORA(No Off-line tasks and on-line tasks Ready upon Arrival) algorithm can find a schedule with the minimum total error. In NORA algorithm, EDF(Earliest Deadline First) strategy is adopted in the scheduling of optional tasks. On the other hand, for the task system with 0/1 constraints, NORA algorithm may not suitable any more for minimizing total error of the imprecise tasks. Therefore, in this paper, an on-line algorithm is proposed to minimize total error for the imprecise real-time task system with 0/1 constraints. This algorithm is suitable for the imprecise on-line system with 0/1 constraints. Next, to evaluate performance of this algorithm, a series of experiments are done. As a consequence of the performance comparison, it has been concluded that IOSMTE(Imprecise On-line Scheduling to Minimize Total Error) algorithm proposed in this paper outperforms LOF(Longest Optional First) strategy and SOF(Shortest Optional First) strategy for the most cases.

  • Optical disk is the media which is used generally in data storage device, but it has a disadvantage in the vibration by spinning and the shock. For overcoming these disadvantage, we must control the optical disk to minimize the focusing error and tacking error. The present study investigates the disk profile for minimizing the focusing error subjected to environmental shock and weight of the disk. In this study, the disk is assumed to be a cantilever beam to determine the disk profile for the minimum displacement as to the shock considering only the first mode. Also, for the optimally determined profile by ADS program this paper recalculate the robust caltilever profile by using orthogonal array and ANOM.

  • The error of onboard propellants mass which is mostly occupied in total mass of launch vehicle and The error of residual affect the performance of launch vehicle seriously. In other words, the errors directly cause the error of total impulse. Therefore, optimization of performance of launch vehicle can be achieved by the minimization of the residual. For minimizing the residuals, the active control for completely depleting the propellants and the calculation method using probability for minimizing the residuals have been researched. In this paper, the added fuel was calculated for minimizing the residual and the minimized residual was predicted by the presented method.
