  • The purpose of this study was to compare the difference between the adaptive and internalizing/externalizing maladaptive behaviors of the sensory processing problemtic group classified from non-disabled preschoolers and to confirms the effects of sensory processing sub-factors on adaptive and maladaptive behaviors. This study participated in 335, 3-6 years typical preschoolers, carried out Short sensory profile, Vineland-II adaptive behavior scales. The study result in the sensory processing showed a significant positive correlation with the adaptive behavior, and a significant negative correlations were found in the internalizing/externalizing maladaptive behaviors. In the t-test, the problemtic group had lower adaptive behavior scores than the typical group. This study confirmed that atypical sensory processing affected not only adaptive behavior, but also internalizing/externalizing maladaptive problems, that sensory processing difficulties were more related to emotional and behavioral issues.

  • Emotional interaction in virtual reality is necessary of social communication. However, social emotion has been tried to be less recognized quantitatively. This study was to determined social gaze of emotion in business domain. 417 emotion words were collected and 16 emotion words were selected to Goodness of Fit. Emotion word were mapped into 2 dimensional space through multidimensional scaling analysis. Then, X axis defined dimensions of cooperation, competition, and Y axis of low focus and high focus through the FGD. 52 subjects were presented to stimuli for emotion and gaze movement data were collected. Independent t-test results showed that the gaze factor increased in the face, eye, and nose areas at cooperation, and the gaze factor increased in the right face and nose areas at the low focus. It is expected that this will be used as a basic research to evaluate emotions needed in business environment in virtual space.

  • Purpose:The objective of this study was to identify the conceptual constructs of patient centeredness from the perspective of patients and family members in Korea, and to compare them with those included in the Picker Institute framework. Methods: Two focus group discussions were conducted. Each focus group consisted of six participants who had experienced being either a patient or a caregiver. We carried out a thematic analysis, and then compared the contents of our focus group discussions with the components of patient-centered care outlined by the Picker Institute. Results: Six conceptual constructs of patient centeredness emerged from the focus group discussions. Five of these overlapped with those outlined by the Picker Institute: 1)respect for patients' values, preferences, and needs, 2) coordination and integration of care, 3) information, communication, and education, 4) physical comfort, and 5) emotional support and alleviation for fear and anxiety. A new component that was not mentioned in the Picker Institute framework emerged from this study: "ease of making a complaint." Currently, "involvement of family and friends" and "continuity and transition" were not prominent components of patient centeredness according to our focus group discussions. Conclusions: This study presents the conceptual constructs of patient centeredness, five of which overlap with those outlined by the Picker Institute, and provides a qualitative basis of the patient experience survey currently being implemented by the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service in Korea.

  • This paper proposes a system which recommends movies using information from social network services containing personal interest and taste. Method for establishing data is as follows. The system gathers movies' information from web sites and user's information from social network services such as Facebook and twitter. The data from social network services is categorized into six steps of emotion level for more accurate processing following users' emotional states. Gathered data will be established into vector space model which is ideal for analyzing and deducing the information with the system which is suggested in this paper. The existing similarity measurement method for movie recommendation is presentation of vector information about emotion level and similarity measuring method on the coordinates using Cosine measure. The deducing method suggested in this paper is two-phase arithmetic operation as follows. First, using general cosine measurement, the system establishes movies list. Second, using similarity measurement, system decides recommendable movie list by vector operation from the coordinates. After Comparative Experimental Study on the previous recommendation systems and new one, it turned out the new system from this study is more helpful than existing systems.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel design and implementation method to detect musical plagiarism which can provide human experts evidences to decide plagiarism using cutting-edge information technologies and thereby can solve exhaustive disputes on cases of musical plagiarism when the cases are decided by human experts' emotional preferences. We first search digital music elements to analyze music source and examine how to use these in plagiarism analysis using IT techniques. Therefore we designed music plagiarism analysis system by using MusicString which is supported in JFugue and construct AST to manipulate music plagiarism analysis efficiently.

  • Since Takeo Toi's discussion in The Anatomy of Dependence (1973), the concept of amae has generated considerable interest in the fields of psychology, anthropology, communication and other fields. However, there have been few agreements on the definition and functions of amae (Behrens, 2004). Furthermore, it has rarely drawn interest from linguists in general and has rarely been discussed in the context of social interaction. This study aims to examine the concept of amae in Japanese and the corresponding phenomena in Korean, and attempts to explore the similarities and differences between them. The prototype of the amae relationship is the mother-infant relationship (Doi,1973). Even an adult can assume the role of a baby, showing his or her need for dependence on others and expecting to be accepted. It turns out that amae-like phenomena frequently occur in everyday life in Korea as well (Lee, 1982). There is no single term for the concept, but it can be translated in many different ways in Korean, for example, aykyo, ayang, ungsek, erikwang, etc. It can have either positive or negative connotations depending on the situation. It seems that the psychological system that causes dependent behaviors such as ungsek in Korea is cheong, one of the key terms characterizing the Korean culture. Cheong, like amae, starts in the mother-infant relationship extending to familial and to other relationships. A corpus-based analysis shows that cheong is conceptualized as gluing people together, growing over time, and also potentially fatal because it assumes illogical, uncalculated, and personal relationships. In conclusion, unlike some Japanese scholars' claim that amae is the Japanese concept that exists only in Japan, it seems that similar phenomena do exist in Korea as well, but that Korean has no single term corresponding to amae in Japanese. It seems that cheong can be posited in Korean as the inner emotional system that makes amae-like behaviors possible, and that there is not single term, but many, designating the behaviors, possibly because the behaviors have a negative connotation and are not encouraged in Korean society.

  • Brand community refers to a group of consumers who are passionate about the brand, and actively participate in enhancing the brand value. This study examines the impact of brand community experience on brand satisfaction, brand trust, and brand value co-creation, focusing on BTS's fan community, 'ARMY'. The results show that the value of aesthetic sensitivity, self-consistency, and intellectual fulfillment, obtained through brand community experiences, had a positive impact on brand satisfaction and brand trust, and brand value co-creation. The implications of this study are as follows: First, rather than company-centered traditional marketing campaign strategies, future brand marketing strategies should focus on nurturing brand communities through which encourage emotional communication and solidarity between consumers and companies. Second, in order to enhance brand community experiences, it is necessary to provide various opportunities to satisfy customers' intellectual curiosity and self-consistency as well as sensory stimuli related to the brand.

The results of the analysis of total 461 adolescents participating in sports activities and not participating in sports activities are as follows. Adolescents participating in sports activities have higher levels of empathy, pro-social behavior and school life happiness than those who do not participate. And the more experience involved in sports activities, the higher the level of empathy, the level of pro-social behavior and the level of school life happiness. There is a significant correlation between empathy and pro-social behavior and school life happiness. Empathy and pro-social behavior factors affecting school life happiness are statistically influencing factors such as "relationship formation", "communication", "cooperation", "assistance", "emotional expression", and "comfort".
