A feature extraction method capable of reflecting features well while mainaining the properties of data is required in order to process high-dimensional data. The principal component analysis method that converts high-level data into low-dimensional data and express high-dimensional data with fewer variables than the original data is a representative method for feature extraction of data. In this study, we propose a principal component analysis method based on adaptive correlation when selecting principal component variables in principal component analysis for data feature extraction when the data is high-dimensional. The proposed method analyzes the principal components of the data by adaptively reflecting the correlation based on the correlation between the input data. I want to exclude them from the candidate list. It is intended to analyze the principal component hierarchy by the eigen-vector coefficient value, to prevent the selection of the principal component with a low hierarchy, and to minimize the occurrence of data duplication inducing data bias through correlation analysis. Through this, we propose a method of selecting a well-presented principal component variable that represents the characteristics of actual data by reducing the influence of data bias when selecting the principal component variable.
This study conducts numerical modeling and eigen-analysis of a rod-fastened rotor, which is mainly used in aircraft gas turbine engines in which multiple disks are in contact through curvic coupling. Nayak's theory is adopted to calculate surface parameters measured from the tooth profile of the curvic coupling gear. Surface parameters are important design parameters for predicting the stiffness between contact surfaces. Based on the calculated surface parameters, elastoplastic contact analysis is performed according to the interference between two surfaces based on the Greenwood-Williamson model. The equivalent bending stiffness is predicted based on the shape and elastoplastic contact stiffness of the curvic coupling. An equation of motion of the rod-fastened rotor, including the bending stiffness of the curvic coupling, is developed. Methods for applying the bending stiffness of a curvic coupling to the equation of motion and for modeling the equation of motion of a rotor that includes both inner and outer rotors are introduced. Rotordynamic analysis is performed through one-dimensional finite element analysis, and each element is modeled based on Timoshenko beam theory. Changes in bending stiffness and the resultant critical speed change in accordance with the rod fastening force are predicted, and the corresponding mode shapes are analyzed.

The SSTop (Sea Surface Topography) provides an estimate of the large scale structure of the deviations between the geoid height and the mean sea surface in terms of a normalized surface spherical harmonic series. The SSTop is the key information which has been used to determine the shape of earth, geoid, current and tide etc. Also, the SSTop is a basic source for the unification of vertical datums at the different height systems which were established according to the their respective purposes. In order to unify the vertical datum around the East-Asian (E-A) region (covers the area: $20^{\circ}-45^{\circ}N$ and $110^{\circ}-140^{\circ}E$), we estimated the value of SSTop in the E-A region using the predicted values of mean sea surface (from KMSS04) and geoid height (from EGM96 and EIGEN-GL04C) and analyzed to aspect of SSTop at 5 tidal stations (InCheon, JeJu, QingDao, Aburatsubo, KeeLung) with the estimated values of each station previously. The result from this study indicates that the SSTop in the E-A region is relatively stable except for the area around the Japanese and Ryukyu deep, and also shows that the distribution of values of SSTop is ranged from 40 to 60 cm at tidal stations except InCheon station.
Wind-induced motions, like acceleration for instance, often influence designs for high-rise buildings. As a consequence, correct assessment of natural frequency becomes important. The empirical expressions used to quantify this parameter at the design phase tend to yield values that are significantly different from each other. This paper is concerned with the natural periods of steel buildings. It describes the vibration measurement methods that were employed for testing buildings. This paper will also present reliable methods of assessing the natural period from ambient vibration tests. Data from measurements on 21 buildings in Seoul were provided while 21 buildings were tested by ambient vibration measurements to obtain the natural periods. While regression formulas of natural periods for steel-frarried tall buildings were suggested, the obtained formula was compared with the empirical expressions of structural standards and the Eigen-value analysis.

In spatial, desired target direction of arrival estimation is to find a incidental signal direction on receive antennas. In this paper, we were an estimation a desired target direction of arrival using maximum likelihood method. Direction of arrival estimation method estimated a desired target calculating the maximum likelihood sensitivity using singular value decomposition above threshold signals among receive signals in maximum likelihood method. Through simulation, we were analysis a performance to compare existing method and proposal method. In direction of arrival estimation, proposed method is effectivity to decrease processing time because it is not doing an eigen decomposition in direction of arrival estimation, and desired target correctly estimated. We showed that proposal method improve more target estimation than general method.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an evaluation instrument integrated and interdisciplinary death education for the human service areas such as nursing, social welfare, and education and to test the reliability and validity of it. Method: The subjects used to verify the instrument's reliability and validity were 407 students who were enrolled in the departments of nursing, social welfare, and education in universities located in Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, and Daejeon. The data was collected from April to May, 2005, and was analyzed by SPSS/WIN 12. Result: A factor analysis was conducted. Items with over a .40 factor loading and over a 1.0 eigen value were selected. Nine identified factors were learning about death, role of professionals, personal attitudes, hospice care, ethics and legal issues, death and dying, spiritual aspect of' death, transcultural aspect of death, and multidisciplinary theory of death. The instrument consisted of 44 items and the reliability was a cronbach's of .953 Conclusion: Based on the study results, the content scale developed in this study was identified as a tool with a high degree of reliability and validity.

This paper presents a numerical analysis procedure and a characteristics for vibration and buckling of the cylinderical panels. The panels with simply-simply or simply-clamped edge supports are subjectes to circumferential compressive or flexural stresses. The differential equations governing vibration and buckling for these panels are derived by using the fundamental differential equation of the Love-Timoshenko and are solved numerically via the Galerkin method. The panel with simply-clamped edge supports is used a trigonometric function or a eigen function of a beam as a trial function and the effects of trial functions on numerical solutions are displayed. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effects of the flexural parameters in natural frequencies and coefficients of critical buckling and some typical mode shapes of vibration and buckling are also presented.

In this paper, the governing differential equations for the free vibration of uniform parabolic arches are derived on the basis of equilibrium equations of a small element of arch rib and the D'Alembert principle. A trial eigen value method is used for determining the natural frequencies and mode shapes. And the Runge-Kutta fourth order integration technique is also used in this method to perform the integration of the differential equations. A detailed study is made of the first mode for the symmetrical and anti-symmetrical vibrations of hinged arches with the Span length equal to 10 m. The effects of the rise of arch, the radius of gyration and the rotary inertia on free vibrations are presented in detail in curves and table.

A modified NDIF method using a sub-domain approach is introduced to extract highly accurate eigenvalues of two-dimensional, arbitrarily shaped acoustic cavities. The NDIF method, which was developed by the authors for the eigen-mode analysis of arbitrarily shaped acoustic cavities, has the feature that it yields highly accurate eigenvalues compared with other analytical methods or numerical methods(FEM and BEM). However, the NDIF method has the weak point that it can be applicable for only convex cavities. It was revealed that the solution of the NDIF method is very inaccurate or is not suitable for concave cavities. To overcome the weak point, the paper proposes the sub-domain method of dividing a concave domain into several convex domains. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified in two case studies, which indicate that eigenvalues obtained by the proposed method are more accurate compared to the exact method, the NDIF method, or FEM(ANSYS).
This paper presents an sstimation of ARMA coefficients of noisy ARMA system using generalized total least square (GTLS) method. GTLS problem for ARMA system is defined as minimizing the errors between the noisy output vectors and estimated noisy-free output. The GTLS problem is solved in closed form by eigen-problem and the perturbation analysis of GTLS is presented. Also its recursive solution (recursive GTLS) is proposed using the power method and the covariance formula of the projected output error vector into the input vector space. The simulation results show that GTLS ARMA coefficients estimator is an unbiased estimator and that recursive GTLS achieves fast convergence.
