This study we developed teaching and learning strategy applying PBL based physical computing programming using reflection journal and feedback, and verified its effectiveness. For the analysis, the survey with 18 sections study contents was performed for 6 weeks by dividing 91 students in 5th grade of elementary school into experimental group and control group respectively. As a result, this study proved that the students who made the structured reflections journals and receiving the feedback at the same time showed the improvement in logical thinking ability in the physical computing based programming learning situation with PBL applied. Based on the results of this study, the sophisticated teaching and learning strategy that can enhance the programming learning effect based on physical computing was developed and its applicability was proved.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of PBL in a college AD/PR class. This class was run under the theme of 'Sinchon Regeneration Project' in the 'Seodaemun-gu & University Collaborative Project Program'. As a result of the pre-post surveys, the authors found a significant increase in the place attachment to Sinchon, which was considered as a critical variable in this program. This research is an important study with high practicality in the area of cultural content production education PBL. The PBL teaching method can contribute to enhancing the class satisfaction and strengthening the competitiveness of students in cultural content related majors.

We expected that PBL (Problem based Learning) methode has good effectiveness for HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) learning of elementary school students. In this study, a test was conducted in which a PBL method and the traditional lecture-based learning method were applied to an HTML class, and compared the level of educational accomplishment and compared the effectiveness of the two methods. PBL applied was based on the IMSA model of problem-based learning center. Educational accomplishment was evaluated base d on evaluation of theory and application skills. Test results revealed that there were no significant differences in theoretic learning between the two methods of learning. However, in application skills, the PBL was proved to be significantly more effective th an the traditional lecture-based learning method. Through the study, it was verified that PBL has a more positive educational effect that the traditional lecture-based learning.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of Problem-based Learning (PBL) in an interdisciplinary college class. This class was run under the theme of 'Nurse Social Content Creators' (NSCC) in the Korean Nurses Association (KNA)'s industry-university collaborative project designed to promote a positive image of nurses among the public. Methods: Study 1 examined changes in perception about nurses among the PBL participants before and after the program. A one-group pre-post test experimental design was applied, and the data were analyzed using a Wilcoxon signed-rank test. Study 2 identified differences of perceptions of nurses between people who had observed the PBL final presentation and people who had not. A post-test-only with nonequivalent group experimental design was used, and the data were analyzed using a Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Study 1 revealed a significant increase of positive perceptions towards nurses. Study 2 revealed a significant difference between the PBL presentation audience group and the control group. Students who had observed the PBL program showed more positive perceptions of nurses than students who had not. Conclusion: This research is an important study with high practicality in the area of media studies as well as in nursing. The PBL teaching method was proven to be effective in enhancing perceptions of nurses.

Although the acquisition of information may be done individually, knowledge is created from the social context of peers, teachers. And feedback on the appropriateness and effectiveness of their knowledge and skill is commonly received. Learning occures effectively within environment that have shared understanding of problems and various tools to solve problems. The purpose of this study is to apply the main principles of creative Problem solving and develop e-PBL(Problem-Based Learning) to enhance creative problem solving skill. In this research, the group of students who studied by means of e-PBL based on web 2.0 showed much more satisfaction and problem solving skill than the other group of students who did by e-Learning.

Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of simulation education integrated with problem based learning (SIM-PBL) on clinical competency and self-efficacy in post operation nursing care for children. Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental design. Thirty six students in the third year of a 4-year baccalaureate nursing program were recruited conveniently and assigned to the control or intervention groups using time difference. Students were all in a pediatric nursing clinical practicum. The control group received the regular clinical practicum in a hospital setting. For the intervention group, a SIM-PBL education replaced 150 minutes of their clinical practicum. Results: The intervention group showed greater improvement in two areas of clinical competency compared with the control group; physical assessment (t= 3.019, p=.005) and post operation advice (t=2.428, p=.021). However, no statistically significant differences in improvement in any areas of self-efficacy were found between two groups. Conclusion: The results indicate that the SIM-PBL education is effective in improving some areas of clinical competence, but not self-efficacy in post operation nursing care for children. Further study is needed to develop SIM-PBL programs for various clinical topics and evaluate the effectiveness on the learning outcomes.

The purpose of this study is to develop middle school English classes using Problem-Based Learning(PBL) based on flipped learning and to examine its effects. Recently, various attempts to combine flipped learning and PBL have been made; however, many studies have not been applied to middle and high school curriculums yet. The attempt of this study is expected to have theoretical and practical significance. The instructional model was derived from the review of previous studies, and the development of instructional program followed the general design procedure(analysis-design-development-implement-evaluation), and its validity was secured with the advice of related experts. To verify the effectiveness of the program, the English academic achievement test and the English key competency test were conducted before and after the program. Changes in English academic achievement were analyzed by the paired-sample t-test, and the effect of key competency and the level of achievement test performance (high vs, low) on the pre-post score change was analyzed by the mixed effects repeated measures ANOVA. As a result of the analysis, both academic achievement and key competencies increased, and the low-level students in the pre-academic achievement test showed more improvements. In conclusion, the PBL class based on flipped learning is effective in improving the English academic achievement and key competencies of middle school students, and in particular, it is shown to be an effective teaching method for students with low academic achievement.

This study examines the effectiveness of the study through a case of PBL (problem-based learning) class conducted in a balanced culture course called at 00 - University in the second semester of 2020. The effects we can achieve through learning are as follows: First, problem-based learning (PBL) has sufficient active interaction between the teacher and the learner. Second, PBL learning can actively utilize various problems that fit the characteristics of the subject and actively utilize the process of role sharing and collaboration. Third, critical perceptions of problem situations can be extended. The limitations identified in this class case are, first, the nature of the subject, "Understanding Culture and Philosophy," which makes it possible to discuss the global cultural phenomenon, but it should be discussed in terms of philosophy. Second, it is not easy to work as a team on non-face-to-face online.

This study was convergence study conducted to examine the effects of problem-based learning(PBL) on self-directed learning ability, problem solving skills, academic self-efficacy, motivation toward learning in adult nursing care. This study was one-group pretest-posttest design. 51 students in the second year were recruited. After the PBL education, The participants showed much improvement in two areas of problem solving skills(t=3.30, p=.002) and Motivation toward Learning(t=3.004, p= .004). In the case of self-directed learning ability(t=1.451, p= .153) and academic self-efficacy(t=-1.04, p= .304), these have not showed a statistically significant change. The results indicate that the PBL education is effective in improving some areas of students' learning competency. Further study is needed to develop PBL programs for various clinical topics and evaluate the effectiveness on the learning outcomes.

Study analyzes whether the 3D CAD class using the flipped learning-based PBL is effective in acquiring professional knowledge and nurturing talent. A Flipped Learning-based PBL class was implemented for 3rd grade students of Robot and Automation Engineering Major, Dong-Eui University, and a survey was conducted on satisfaction and effectiveness. The students seemed to be generally satisfied with the class, and the flipped learning-based PBL appeared to be effective in improving the competency required by companies. In particular, it is hoped that it will contribute to the use of video education in practical subjects in the future by proving that practical classes can be operated effectively even in non-face-to-face learning. Moreover, this study is an important indicator for future research and will be used as a quantitative indicator for class improvement.
