Innovative Teaching Technologies as a Way to Increase Students' Competitiveness

  • The article presents an analysis of innovative teaching technologies as a way to increase students' competitiveness. The author found that innovative technologies in education are information and communication technologies relying on computer-based learning. The structure, content of educational software, organization of Web-space are important when using innovative teaching technologies in English classes. We conducted the study in several stages: comparative analysis, synthesis, classification and systematization of the results of psychological and pedagogical, educational and methodological research; study of legislative acts, periodicals in order to identify the state of the research issue, and determining the directions of its solution, as well as subject, goal and objectives of the study. We used modelling to create situations of foreign language professional communication of future IT specialists. Empirical methods involved questionnaires used for identifying the motives of professional development and determining the features of the educational activities of future IT specialists in the process of training. The methods of mathematical statistics allowed to scientifically describe and systematize the obtained data, to identify the quantitative relationship between the studied phenomena, to analyse and summarize the results. We conducted a socio-psychological study during 2016 - 2019. It involved 255 first- and fourth-year students of National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Poly-technic Institute." Innovative information and communication technologies that improve the educational and cognitive activity of students, as well as increase the level of their knowledge have become important in teaching a foreign language in higher educational institutions. These technologies include MOODLE - Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, business game, integrated pedagogical technology, case study technology. Thus, the information-rich learning process in combination with the use of innovative technologies, well-organized e-learning, interactive training courses, multimedia tools improves the program of teaching and learning foreign languages in general, and English in particular, improves the level of knowledge of future IT specialists and motivation to study and learn foreign languages, allows students to use a variety of authentic materials. We state that all these factors influence the process of individualization of learning and contribute to the successful mastery of a foreign language.

수준별 교육과정의 적용에 따른 수학과 심화 보충 과정과 특별 보충 과정의 내용 선정 및 교수-학습 자료 구성 방향 - 중학교 1학년 1학기 수학과 내용을 중심으로 - (The Supplemental and Enriched Course, and Special Remedy Course for Differentiated Curriculum of Mathematics)

  • One of the main features of the 7th revised national curriculum is the implementation of a 'Differentiated Curriculum'. Differentiated Curriculum is often interpreted as meaning the same as 'tracking' or 'ability grouping' in western countries. In the 7th revised curriculum, mathematics is organized and implemented by 'Level-Based Differentiated Curriculum'. To develop mathematics textbooks and teaching-and-learning materials for Differentiated Curriculum, the ideas of 'Enriched and Supplemental Differentiated Curriculum'need to be applied, that is, to provide advanced contents for fast learners, and plain contents for slow learners. Level Based Differentiated Curriculum could be implemented by ability grouping either between classes or within classes. According to these two exemplary models, the implementation models for supplemental course and enriched course are determined. The contents for supplemental course are comprised of minimal essential elements selected from the standard course at a decreased level of complexity and abstraction. The contents of enriched courses are focused on various applications of mathematical knowledge in the real world. Special remedy course will be offered to extremely underachieved students, The principles of developing teaching-and-learning material for special remedy course were obtained from the histo-genetic principle, progressive mathematizing principle, and constructivism.

  • 산업기술 변화에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있는 현장중심의 공학교육을 위해서는 현장경험이 풍부한 강사, 교재, 교육콘텐츠와 더불어 현장과 연계된 교육장비의 활용이 반드시 필요하다. 기존의 교육장비는 현장중심이 아닌 해당 기술을 쉽고 편리하게 교육하기 위한 보편적인 장비가 주류를 이루고 있다. 이는 산업기술 변화에 따라 관련 공학교육이 뒷받침되고 있지 못하고 현장교육과 점점 멀어져가는 이유이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 공학교육에 있어서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 교육훈련 장비의 개발사례를 살펴보고 이들 장비를 실제 교육에 활용하였을 때의 만족도 조사를 분석하여 향후 현장중심의 공학교육에 적합한 교육장비 개발 및 활용 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 학교 교육에 있어 컴퓨터 교과는 그 필요성이 절실함에도 불구하고, 타교과에 비해 체계적인 교과로 자리 매김을 하는데 미약한 실정에서 현재 이루어지고 있는 컴퓨터 교육의 문제점을 살펴보는 작업은 가장 선행되어야 할 일이다. 따라서 본 연구는 제7차 교육과정의 '정보사회와 컴퓨터' 교육과정의 특징과 문제점 분석, 일반계 고등학교의 선택중심교육과정 등 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, '정보사회와 컴퓨터' 교과를 수업하고 있는 일반계 고등학교 교사와 학생들을 대상으로 설문조사하여 교사가 인식하고 있는 교육내용의 필요성과 난이도, 교육현장에서 이루어지고 있는 수업 운영 형태, 교육내용에 대한 교사와 학생의 인식 차이 분석을 통하여 문제점과 특징을 분석하였다.

지역사회 노인 고혈압 환자의 건강정보이해능력이 고혈압 자가관리행위에 미치는 영향 (The impact of health literacy on self-care behaviors among hypertensive elderly)

  • Objectives: This study thus set out to examine the health literacy and self-care behaviors of community-dwelling elderly patients with hypertension and investigate their relations and influential factors, thus providing basic data to develop a nursing intervention program to promote self-care behaviors among hypertension patients. Methods: The subjects include 180 hypertension patients using community health centers, public senior centers, and welfare centers in Jeju. Results: The subjects scored a mean of 49.8 (${\pm}12.4$) points on health literacy and 55.8 (${\pm}6.7$) points on self-care behaviors. In the results of hierarchical regression analysis, health literacy independently predicted self-care behaviors (${\beta}=.12$, p=.050) after controlling for general characteristics, hypertension-related knowledge and self-efficacy. Conclusions: These results suggest that interventions for improving health literacy are important to enhance elder's ability of self-care behaviors. It is necessary to understand the health literacy of elderly patients with hypertension before providing them with educational intervention and information and to develop appropriate educational materials and intervention programs.

교과교실 운영 성과에 대한 수요자 인식 조사 분석 - 교수·학습 활동과 학생들의 학습태도를 중심으로 - (The recognition analysis of a student and the teacher about subject classroom system operation achievement - focusing on the teaching and learning activities and students' learning attitudes -)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate and analyze the recognition of students and teachers towards an influence of a subject classroom system to teacher's learning activities and student's learning attitude. The study was subjected to students and teachers at a school that has innovatively operated subject classroom system from before 2009. The results of the research are as follows. First, the result of investigation shows that the quality of class has been improved. The formats of managing class and class materials have become various. Second, there is an affirmative exchange in student's learning attitude, such as student's active participation, concentration, preparation and interest toward a class. Third, the fifty percent of teachers answered it that a block time system and intensive study system is required to manage an efficient subject classroom system. Lastly, the investigation shows that teachers and students are generally satisfied with running the subject classroom system. However, the satisfaction ratio of students is lower than the one of teachers.

  • 본 논문은 수학 수업에 대한 새로운 연구 방법으로서 교사의 자서전을 소개하고 그에 따른 연구 사례를 밝히고자 하였다. 첫째로 수학 수업 연구의 질적 연구 방법으로서 교사의 자서전 도입의 가능성이라는 측면에서, 자서전 연구의 성격을 밝히고 수학 수업 연구 방법으로서 자서전 연구가 갖는 의의와 난점을 논의하였다. 둘째로 본 연구가 설정한 자서전 연구 방법에 의한 연구 사례로서, 초보교사에서 경력교사로 가는 동안의 자서전을 통하여 수학 수업에 대한 교사의 숙고 과정을 살펴보았다.

  • The recent entry into information society as well as the development and universalization of the Internet through rapid development of ICT technology produced a new educational method called PMP learning. PMP learning overcomes restrictions of previous education methods in terms of time and space and allows the learners to customize their learning environments according to their leads, providing voluntary education that centers on the learners. This study aims to verify the causal relationship in academic achievement of PMP learners through the theory of basic psychological desire, learning satisfaction, and learning metastasis. In order to accomplish this, a study model which applies perceived autonomy, perceived competence, and perceived relationship, which are major variables of the theory of basic psychological desire, was presented. For practical verification of the study model, survey analysis was conducted for students of R High School in Hamyang. Through this, the study aims to provide basic materials for improving the academic achievement of learners in PMP learning. It also plans to suggest educational effects that can be obtained by supporting intrinsic motivation of learners.

중학교·실업계고 교사의 수산업 의식 분석 (A Research on the Secondary School Teachers' Consciousness on Fisheries)

  • This study focused on how to activate the fisheries high school and develop fisheries. This data was collected from 108 vocational high school teachers and 94 middle school teachers. The treatment of materials is classified by gender, level of academic career and teaching career. This research evaluated percentage to the frequency of reponses to each question and carried out ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test, for the benefit of reliability. This statistically significant level which was conducted by using SPSS10.0 in accounted for p<.05. The conclusions of this study were as follows: The middle school teachers and vocational high school teachers showed positive response when general contents were included in question items, the other hand showed negative response when definite and special contents were included in question items. The vocational high school teachers showed lower answer score in the fisheries consciousness then middle school teachers in spite of vocational educational function. Different degrees of fisheries consciousness of two groups were resulted from research areas.

대학도서관 방문 프로그램을 통한 대학도서관과 학교도서관의 연계 방안 (Cooperative Link between the Academic and School Libraries through Academic Library Visiting Program)

  • 정보사회에서 대학도서관과 학교도서관은 학생의 정보활용능력 신장이라는 공통의 목적을 갖는다. 따라서 대학도서관과 학교도서관은 학생의 정보활용능력을 매개로 연계가 가능하다. 본고에서는 대학과 학교도서관의 연계 방안으로 대학도서관 방문프로그램을 소개하고 제안한다. 학교도서관의 입장에서 이 프로그램은 자료와 사서교사의 부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 도서관 기반 학습을 활성화 할 수 있는 대안이 될 수 있다. 대학도서관의 입장에서는 지역사회개방에 따른 자료부족 문제, 사서의 업무 증가 문제. 열람석 부족 문제 등을 해결할 수 있는 하나의 방안이 될 수 있다. 그리고 사서의 교육적 역할 증진에 기여할 것이다.
