  • The current study was conducted to understand the status of infection management through a survey on the status of awareness and performance of infection management and to improve efficient infection management and education programs of workers in long-term care institutions. The subjects of the study were 134 workers at 35 long-term care institutions in the C region, and data were collected from July 12 to 30, 2021. They agree to participate in research self reported structured questionnaire by SPSS program ver. 22.0. As a result of the study, the subject's awareness of infection management appeared to be a difference in accordance with occupation (F=3.181, p=.032) and education experience (F=6.372, p=.013). Also, factors influencing the subject's performance of infection management were occupation (F=3.972, p=.010) and education experience (F=4.403, p=.038). The relationship between awareness of infection management and performance resilience fined out a significantly positive correlation (r=.919, p<.001). As a result, for patient safety in long-term care institutions in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it is very important for workers not only to recognize the importance of infection management but also to directly perform infection management activities. To this end, regardless of the size of the institution, it is necessary to prepare a systematic and continuous curriculum by occupation and educational topic, and to legally strengthen the evaluation system to improve the quality of the infection management system.

The concept of "culture of professional communication» is considered, which is interpreted as the level of realization of creative abilities, exchange of messages, organization of mutual understanding, mutual knowledge in the process of professionally directed interaction between subjects, in which interpersonal relationships arise, manifest and form. The concept of "professional culture of communication of a teacher" is interpreted. The motives that are socially significant in the professional communication of the teacher are highlighted. The necessity of forming a culture of professional communication among students, in particular by means of information technologies in the present, is clarified. The interactive component of professional communication is considered. The types of interactions between people in everyday life (ritual and entertainment interaction, joint purposeful activity, no interaction, game and interpersonal interaction) are identified. Traditional and specific forms and methods of teaching are written out. All interactive technologies carried out by means of information technologies are conventionally divided into four groups, depending on the form of educational activity appropriate for their use (pair (work of the subject with the teacher or peers one on one by means of Information Technologies); frontal (the teacher simultaneously teaches a group of subjects by means of Information Technologies); group or cooperative (all subjects teach each other by means of Information Technologies); individual (independent work of the subject using Information Technologies)). In the higher education institution, future specialists should learn knowledge, acquire skills on the basic rules of the culture of professional communication and methods of interaction and their effective use, which is possible with the use of Information Technologies. Recommendations for optimal professional communication have been developed that help you express your thoughts easily and beautifully, and conduct a dialogue in a relaxed and harmonious way.

  • In this study, we analyze the strengths and limitations of student convergence education and teacher-training programs offered by a science education institute in the capital region and provide suggestions for organizing and running similar programs in other science education institutes and schools. Reviews of relevant literature and interviews with internal and external expert groups were conducted, and an analytic framework was developed. Based on the framework, we collected data using focus group interviews and email communications with experts. The data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods within two areas, namely, convergence education programs for students and teacher-training programs. The data analysis results revealed the status of student convergence education and teacher-training programs in the institute. Furthermore, we also provided suggestions for improving programs in other informal science education institutes and schools through the interaction between the two areas in the framework and educational and social needs.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate attitudes toward aging and depression among elderly welfare facility users. For this purpose, a questionnaire-based survey was conducted with 280 elderly participants in the facilities of 15 institutions in Gyeonggi-do. In total, 258 data points were used for analysis. The measuring instruments used an attitude scale and depression scale for aging. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was no difference in attitude toward aging and depression among elderly welfare institution users by gender. Second, attitudes toward aging among elderly welfare facility users were also assessed according to final educational background. Positive attitudes in general (lack of depression) and positive attitudes toward aging were found to be higher with a higher rate of final academic completion. Third, attitudes toward aging were assessed according to experience with welfare facilities among the elderly, and it was found that depression has a significant impact on perceptions of physical change caused by aging. As a result, even when attitudes toward aging are generally negative, an elderly person cannot be judged to be depressed because this is highly related to final academic completion. Therapists working in welfare facilities for the elderly are more likely to have negative attitudes toward aging and depression when the number of facilities used is lower.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the background of the plans and the spatial characteristics of the garden at the Anglo-Korean School, an educational institution established in Gaeseong in 1906 by Yun Chi-ho and the American Methodist Church. The time scope of the study is from 1906, when the school was opened, to the early 1920s, when the basic building structure of the school was completed. The spatial scope is the school complex, located in Gaeseong, and its affiliated facilities. The contents of the study include the planning background and purpose, spatial layout, and plants used in the school garden. This study reviewed Yun Ch'i-ho's papers and Warren A. Candler's papers at Emory University, documents, photos, and maps produced in the early 20th century. The results show that the school garden was first mentioned at the school's opening and that with a strong will, Yun Chi-ho insisted on establishing a school garden. The garden was located around the engineering department building and was divided into several sections and lots. Economic plants, such as fruit trees, comprised the garden and were sourced from the Methodist Church of the South, USA. This study reveals that the garden at the Anglo-Korean School functioned as a training ground for agriculture and horticulture education and was differentiated from Seowon, a traditional Korean academy that symbolically spaced Neo-Confucianism and that emphasized the views of the surrounding nature during the Joseon Dynasty.

The selected key words were converted into matrix data and analyzed by semantic network analysis. As a result of text mining analysis, it was confirmed that 'student', 'operation', 'Korea Invention Promotion Association', and 'Korean Intellectual Property Office' were the meaningful keywords. As a result of semantic network analysis, five clusters could be identified: 'educational operation', 'invention contest', 'education process and progress', 'recruitment and support for business', and 'supervision and selection institution'. Through this study, it was possible to confirm various meaningful social perceptions of the general public in relation to invention education center on the internet.
