Artificial Intelligence and the Virtual Multi-Door ODR Platform for Small Value Cross-Border e-Commerce Disputes

  • In recent times, the volume of cross-border e-commerce has witnessed an upward trend and has been accompanied by increased disputes, with cross-border e-commerce being characterized mainly by low value and large volume issues. For this reason, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) was formed to carry out dispute resolutions in cross-border e-commerce. A virtual multi-door ODR platform for small value, cross-border disputes in e-commerce is then proposed in this paper. For a couple of decades, researchers have tried to employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Law. However, it turns out that they were faced with a couple of obstacles to integrate AI to Law since it is highly difficult to program AI to process the common sense of a human being. For example, AI cannot assimilate the affective side of a human being, and it is problematic to integrate a human being's common sense into the AI system. Considering this situation, this study puts forward an ODR model for cross-border e-commerce in the evolutionary perspective.

Examining the Generative Artificial Intelligence Landscape: Current Status and Policy Strategies

  • This article proposes a framework to elucidate the structural dynamics of the generative AI ecosystem. It also outlines the practical application of this proposed framework through illustrative policies, with a specific emphasis on the development of the Korean generative AI ecosystem and its implications of platform strategies at AI platform-squared. We propose a comprehensive classification scheme within generative AI ecosystems, including app builders, technology partners, app stores, foundational AI models operating as operating systems, cloud services, and chip manufacturers. The market competitiveness for both app builders and technology partners will be highly contingent on their ability to effectively navigate the customer decision journey (CDJ) while offering localized services that fill the gaps left by foundational models. The strategically important platform of platforms in the generative AI ecosystem (i.e., AI platform-squared) is constituted by app stores, foundational AIs as operating systems, and cloud services. A few companies, primarily in the U.S. and China, are projected to dominate this AI platform squared, and consequently, they are likely to become the primary targets of non-market strategies by diverse governments and communities. Korea still has chances in AI platform-squared, but the window of opportunities is narrowing. A cautious approach is necessary when considering potential regulations for domestic large AI models and platforms. Hastily importing foreign regulatory frameworks and non-market strategies, such as those from Europe, could overlook the essential hierarchical structure that our framework underscores. Our study suggests a clear strategic pathway for Korea to emerge as a generative AI powerhouse. As one of the few countries boasting significant companies within the foundational AI models (which need to collaborate with each other) and chip manufacturing sectors, it is vital for Korea to leverage its unique position and strategically penetrate the platform-squared segment-app stores, operating systems, and cloud services. Given the potential network effects and winner-takes-all dynamics in AI platform-squared, this endeavor is of immediate urgency. To facilitate this transition, it is recommended that the government implement promotional policies that strategically nurture these AI platform-squared, rather than restrict them through regulations and stakeholder pressures.

  • 본 논문은 인터넷에 연결된 여러 형태의 플랫폼 상에 장착되어 있는 다양한 응용 프로그램 통합을 지원하는 e-비즈니스 응용 프로그램 통합(eAI) 프레임워크를 제안한다. 연결된 응용 프로그램은 프레임워크를 구성하고 있는 워크플로우 시스템에 의해서 구동되고 조정되면서 특정 비즈니스 목적을 달성하게 된다. 프레임워크 구성을 위해서 5개의 하위 프레임워크 구성 모듈이 도출되었으며 도출된 각 모듈의 기능과 역할이 정의되었다. 도출된 5개의 하위 모듈은 비즈니스 프로세스 설계 툴, eAI 플랫폼, 비즈니스 프로세스 변환 모듈, UDDI 연결 모듈, 그리고 워크플로우 시스템을 포함한다. 제안된 프레임워크 환경에서 기업 내$\cdot$외부 응용 프로그램들은 방화벽에 구애되지 않고 손쉽게 통합될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 시스템의 구현을 위한 워크플로우 시스템의 확장에 대해서 비교적 자세하게 기술하였으며, 구현된 eAI 프레임워크를 사용한 응용 프로그램 구현을 통하여 제안된 프레임워크의 유용성을 확인하였다. 완전한 기능을 갖춘 eAI 솔루션은 이 프레임워크에 추가적인 기능을 점진적으로 추가함으로써 구현 가능하다.

E2E 비즈니스 프로세스 자동화를 위한 하이퍼오토메이션 플랫폼 적용방안 및 사례연구 (A Case Study in Applying Hyperautomation Platform for E2E Business Process Automation)

  • 코로나19 펜데믹이 장기화되면서 비대면 업무가 늘어나고 단순반복적인 질문 및 업무에 대한 자동화 수요가 증가하였으며 성과도 보고 있다. 따라서 기업은 더 나아가 E2E 업무에 복잡한 여러 업무 프로세스를 연계하고 위해 AI 등 다양한 기술을 적용하여 모든 작업을 자동화하려고 시도하고 자동화 업무영역을 확장하고 있다. 하지만 Intelligent Process Automation(IPA)부분으로의 확장은 아직 적용사례 및 관련 솔루션을 찾아보기 어려울 정도로 시작 단계에 머물고 있어 복잡하고 다양한 업무 프로세스들로 구성되어 있는 전사업무의 자동화를 고려하고 있는 기업에서는 도입에 대한 의사결정을 내리기에는 부족한 면이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 해결하기 위하여 RPA, Chatbot, AI 기술을 적용한 Hyperautomation Platform(HAP) 구성을 제안하였고, HAP를 사용하여 지능형 프로세스 자동화를 가져올 수 있는 적용방안과 현업 업무에 적용 가능한 구현사례를 제시하여 객관적이고 종합적으로 도입을 검토할 수 있도록 하였으며, Hyperautomation 개념의 실현 가능성을 확인하여 HAP를 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 하는데 의미와 가치가 있다.

개별화 맞춤형 수학 학습을 지원하는 AI 기반 플랫폼 분석 (AI-Based Educational Platform Analysis Supporting Personalized Mathematics Learning)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 개별화 맞춤형 수학 학습을 지원하는 AI 기반 플랫폼 활용 시 고려해야 할 교수·학습에 관한 시사점을 제안하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국내·외 공교육에서 활용되고 있는 플랫폼 5개(똑똑!수학탐험대, 노리AI스쿨수학, 칸 아카데미, MATHia, CENTURY)를 분석대상으로 선정하여, AI 기반 수학교육 플랫폼이 개별화 맞춤형 학습을 지원하기 위한 세 가지 요소(PLP, PLN, PLE)를 어떻게 반영하고 있는지를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 각 플랫폼에서 구현하고 있는 PLP, PLN, PLE의 특징은 다양했지만, PLP와 PLN을 바탕으로 학습자가 자율적으로 학습에 대한 의사결정을 내릴 수 있는 PLE를 형성할 수 있도록 설계된 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구의 의의는 AI 기반 수학교육 플랫폼을 활용하는 개별화 맞춤형 수학 학습에 대한 이해도와 실천 가능성을 높였다는 데에서 찾을 수 있다.

AI Smart Factory Model for Integrated Management of Packaging Container Production Process

  • We propose the AI Smart Factory Model for integrated management of production processes in this paper .It is an integrated platform system for the production of food packaging containers, consisting of a platform system for the main producer, one or more production partner platform systems, and one or more raw material partner platform systems while each subsystem of the three systems consists of an integrated storage server platform that can be expanded infinitely with flexible systems that can extend client PCs and main servers according to size and integrated management of overall raw materials and production-related information. The hardware collects production site information in real time by using various equipment such as PLCs, on-site PCs, barcode printers, and wireless APs at the production site. MES and e-SCM data are stored in the cloud database server to ensure security and high availability of data, and accumulated as big data. It was built based on the project focused on dissemination and diffusion of the smart factory construction, advancement, and easy maintenance system promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing sites while we plan to propose this model in the paper to state funding projects for SMEs.

  • 4차 산업혁명의 기술 발달은 세계와 사회의 발전을 가속화 시키고 있다. 4차 산업기술은 Cyber World와 연결되어 국가와 사회 인프라를 발전시키고 4차 산업기술의 응용은 Cyber-city와 Cyber-life system을 창조할 수 있다. Cyber 세계와 현실 세계를 연결시키는 ICT 비즈니스 업계에서는 Cyber 업무와 현실의 업무를 연결시켜야 한다. Cyber 업무와 현실의 업무의 연결 방법 중 한 가지로 AR명함을 사용하는 것이다. AR명함을 스마트폰으로 인식하면 3D 캐릭터가 등장하여 명함 주인공을 소개하도록 한다. 또한, AR 명함은 사업자의 상품·제품·서비스가 AR로 반영되어 제품, 서비스 등에 대한 홍보가 가능하도록 한다. 연결된 유무선 5G 통신을 이용하면, 실시간 전자상거래도 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 Source Coding으로 AR명함 제작하고 AR 명함 platform을 설계할 것이다.

Effective E-Learning Practices by Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence

  • This is an extended research paper focusing on the applications of Machine Learing and Artificial Intelligence in virtual learning environment. The world is moving at a fast pace having the application of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in all the major disciplines and the educational sector is also not untouched by its impact especially in an online learning environment. This paper attempts to elaborate on the benefits of ML and AI in E-Learning (EL) in general and explain how King Khalid University (KKU) EL Deanship is making the best of ML and AI in its practices. Also, researchers have focused on the future of ML and AI in any academic program. This research is descriptive in nature; results are based on qualitative analysis done through tools and techniques of EL applied in KKU as an example but the same modus operandi can be implemented by any institution in its EL platform. KKU is using Learning Management Services (LMS) for providing online learning practices and Blackboard (BB) for sharing online learning resources, therefore these tools are considered by the researchers for explaining the results of ML and AI.

  • In modern society, UAM (Urban Air Mobility) transportation system is being developed as an alternative to urban traffic congestion and environmental problems, and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) is a combination of vertical take-off and landing function and electric power. It is attracting attention as an innovative next-generation transportation method as an eco-friendly alternative that reduces noise and air pollution by providing efficient mobility within the city. Since eVTOL development requires designing and implementing airframes suitable for various mission purposes, the power system needs to be developed as a platform concept before airframe development. In this study, we empirically proposed a test bench concept equipped with a stable power supply and an efficient control system, essential in developing a power platform with a combined function in the form of a fuselage and module type specialized for various mission purposes. The proposed drivetrain platform test bench consists of a system verifying the stable take-off and landing software and a power platform adjusting the motor's thrust. It will serve as a verification system that can be developed.

Action-Based Audit with Relational Rules to Avatar Interactions for Metaverse Ethics

  • Metaverse provides a simulated environment where a large number of users can participate in various activities. In order for Metaverse to be sustainable, it is necessary to study ethics that can be applied to a Metaverse service platform. In this paper, Metaverse ethics and the rules for applying to the platform are explored. And, in order to judge the ethicality of avatar actions in social Metaverse, the identity, interaction, and relationship of an avatar are investigated. Then, an action-based audit approach to avatar interactions (e.g., dialogues, gestures, facial expressions) is introduced in two cases that an avatar enters a digital world and that an avatar requests the auditing to subjects, e.g., avatars controlled by human users, artificial intelligence (AI) avatars (e.g., as conversational bots), and virtual objects. Pseudocodes for performing the two cases in a system are presented and they are examined based on the description of the avatars' actions.
