POSSIBLE EMISSION STRUCTURE OF $C_2H$ IN THE 2.5 MICRON INFRARED SPECTRA OF COMETS

  • We have constructed a synthetic spectrum of the 2.5 micron $C_2H$ bands and compared them with diminutive structures in the near-infrared spectra of Comets P/Halley and West (1976 VI). We found that the Q branches of the $C_2H$ bands coincide with two small emission peaks in the spectra of the comets. We undertook Monte Carlo simulations using observed emission intensities of $C_2$ and possibly $C_2H$ in Comet P/Halley in order to derive a lifetime range of $C_2H$ and a production rate at the time of observations of P/Halley. We obtained a $C_2H$ production rate of $1\times10^{27}\;sec^{-1}$ for P/Halley on December 20, 1985, assuming the 2.5 micron features are due to $C_2H$. We derived a very short lifetime (<100 seconds) of $C_2H$ at 1AU heliocentric distance, assuming that the only parent molecule for $C_2H$ and $C_2$ is $C_2H$. Using this short lifetime we were unable to fit our $C_2$ distribution model to $C_2$ distribution curves observed by O'Dell et al.(1988), because our curve shows a steep slope compared with the observed one. We conclude that there must be significant additional source(s) for $C_2H$ and $C_2$ other than $C_2H_2$.

  • EMS(Electromagnetic Susceptibility) 시험 중, RF 복사내성 시험에 사용되는 전력증폭기는 80MHz~1000MHz 대역에서 IEC1000-4-3 규격에 맞는 특성을 가져야 한다. 본 논문은 전력 구동단과 고출력 증폭단으로 광대역 전력증폭기를 구성하였으며 임피던스 추정방법을 근간으로 한 광대역 정합 회로 기술과 출력 역반사로부터 증폭 소자를 보호할 수 있는 부정합 보호 회로 기술을 검토, 고찰하였다. 80HMz~300MHz 대역에서 설계, 제작된 전력 증폭기는 100watts 이상의 출력, 40dB 이상의 이득 및 $\pm$0.3dB의 출력 평탄 특성을 얻었으며, 20dBc 이상의 고조파억압 특성을 얻었다. 본 논문의 광대역 고출력 증폭기는 IECI1000-4-3 규격의 EMS 복사내성 시험에 이용할 수 있겠다.

산업용 원심분리기의 진동저감을 위한 로터다이나믹 해석 (A Rotordynamic Analysis of a Industrial Centrifuge for Vibration Reduction)

  • A rotordynamic analysis was performed with a decant-type centrifuge, which is a kind of industrial centrifuge. The system is composed of screw rotor, bowl rotor, driving motors, gear box, and support rolling element bearings. These rotors have a rated speed of 4300 rpm, and were modeled utilizing a rotordynamic FE method for analysis, which was verified through 3-D FE analysis. Design goals are to achieve wide separation margins of lateral critical speeds, and favorable unbalance responses of the rotor in the operating range. Then, a complex analysis rotordynamic analysis of the system was carried out to evaluate its forward synchronous critical speeds and mode shapes, whirl natural frequencies, and unbalance responses under various balance grade. As a result of analysis, the rotordynamic analysis performed by separating a screw rotor and bowl rotor may cause an error in predicting critical speed of entire system. Therefore, the rotordynamic analysis of a coupled rotor combining a screw and bowl rotor must be performed in order to more accurately estimate dynamic characteristics of the decanter-type centrifuge as presented in this paper. Also, rolling element bearings with suitable stiffness should be selected to keep enough separation margin. In addition, in establishing balance grade of a screw and bowl rotor, ISO G2.5 balance grade is more recommended than ISO G6.3, in particular balancing correction of a screw rotor based on ISO G2.5 grade is strongly recommended.

디스크플라우 및 로타리 작업에 따른 78 kW급 트랙터 PTO 가혹도 평가 (Evaluation of PTO Severeness for 78 kW-Class Tractor According to Disk Plow Tillage and Rotary Tillage)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the PTO severeness for an agricultural tractor during disk plow and rotary tillage. The PTO load measurement system was constructed with data acquisition and a PTO torquemeter. Field experiments were conducted at a combination of traveling speed (L3 Low, L3 High) and PTO speed (P1, P2). The load spectrum was generated using the rain-flow counting method, and the SWT method was used to consider the range and mean of the PTO load. The damage sum was calculated by applying a modified miner rule, which is a cumulative damage law. The relative severeness was expressed as the ratio of the lowest damage sum. Relative severeness was higher with the lower PTO gear stage, and higher driving gear stage and it was approximately 40-102 times higher for rotary tillage than disk plow tillage in the same gear stages. The relative severeness was 1010.12 in the rotary tillage under L3 High P1 based on the disk plow tillage under L3 Low P2.

  • This paper introduces an AVP (Automated Valet Parking) system which applies an autonomous driving concept into the current PAS (Parking Assistant System). The present commercial PAS technology is limited into vehicle. It means vehicle only senses and controls by and for itself to assist the parking. Therefore, the present PAS is restricted to simple parking events. But AVP includes wider parking events and planning because it uses infra-sensor network as well as vehicle sensor. For the realization of AVP, the commercial steering system of a compact vehicle was modified into steer-by-wire structure and various sensors like LRF (Long Range Finder) and camera were installed in a parking area. And local & global server decides where and when the vehicle can go and park in the testing area after recognized the status of environment and vehicle from those sensors. GPS solution was used to validate the AVP performance. More various parking situations, vehicles and obstacles will be considered in the next research stages based on these results. And we expect this AVP solution with more intelligent vehicles can be applied in a big parking lot like a market, an amusement park, etc.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 통신 시스템 응용을 위한 12b 100 MS/s CMOS D/A 변환기(DAC) 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 DAC는 전력소모, 면적, 선형성 및 글리치 에너지 등을 고려하여, 상위 8b는 단위 전류셀 매트릭스 (unit current-cell matrix)로 나머지 하위 4b는 이진 전류열 (binary-weighted array)로 구성하였다. 제안하는 DAC는 동적 성능을 향상시키기 위해 새로운 구조의 스위치 구동 회로를 사용하였다. 시제품 DAC회로 레이아웃을 위해서는 캐스코드 전류원을 단위 전류셀 스위치 매트릭스와 분리하였으며, 제안하는 칩은 0.35 um single-poly quad-metal CMOS 공정을 사용하여 제작되었다. 측정된 시제품의 DNL 및 INL은 12b 해상도에서 각각 ±0.75 LSB와 ±1.73 LSB이내의 수준이며, 100 MS/s 동작 주파수와 10 MHz 입력 주파수에서 64 dB의 SFDR을 보여준다. 전력 소모는 3 V의 전원 전압에서 91 mW이며, 칩 전체 크기는 2.2 mm × 2.0 mm 이다.

Ku-band의 소형 지구국용을 위한 8W 고출력 증폭기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the 8W High Power Amplifier for VSAT at Ku-band)

  • 본 논문에서는 hybrid기법을 이용하여 무궁화 위성의 상향 주파수인 14.0-14.5 GHz에서 동작하는 위성 지구국용 8W 전력증폭기를 설계.제작하였다. 제작의 간편성 때문에 전체 전력 증폭기를 크게 구동 증폭부와 전력 증폭부의 두 부분으로 나누어 설계.제작하였다 또 각 부에 DC 전원 공급을 위 한 바이어스 회로부를 같은 하우정내에 장착하여 무게 및 부피를 최소화하였다 제작된 전력 증폭기는 500 MHz대역폭 내에서 소신호 이득이 $26\pm1dB$, 입.출력 반사손실이 각각 7dB와 12dB이상이었다. 14 GHz, 14.25 GHz와 14.5 GHz 주파수에 대해 ldB 압축접의 출력전력은 39.0-39.2 dBm으로서 설계시 목표로 했던 출력전력 8W를 상회하였다, 본 논문에서 제시한 SSPA 제작기법은 각종 radar 및 SCPC용 고출력 증폭기 설계 및 제작에도 적용할 수 있다.

  • The suitable pressure regulator modeling at each opening ratio and pressure ratio is very important to obtain reliable results, especially in small scale pipeline network analysis such as a pressure regulator system. And it is needed to confirm both whether temperature recovery is achieved after passing by the pressure regulator's narrow neck and how much amount of low temperature area that can cause condensate accumulation is distributed by various PCV models and driving conditions. In this research, the numerical model resembling P company pressure regulator that is used widely for high pressure range in commercial, is adopted as the base model of CFD analysis to investigate pressure regulator's flow characteristics at each pressure ratio and opening ratio. And it is also introduced to examine pressure regulator's critical flow characteristics and possibility of condensation or freezing at each pressure ratio and opening ratio. Additionally, the comparison between the results of CFD analysis and the results of analytic solution obtained by compressible fluid-dynamics theory is attempted to validate the results of CFD modeling in this study and to estimate the accuracy of theoretical approach at each pressure ratio and opening ratio too.

Single-Electron Logic Cells and SET/FET Hybrid Integrated Circuits

  • Single-electron transistor (SET)-based logic cells and SET/FET hybrid integrated circuits have been fabricated on SOI chips. The input-output voltage transfer characteristic of the SET-based complementary logic cell shows an inverting behavior where the output voltage gain is estimated to be about 1.2 at 4.2K. The SET/FET output driver, consisting of one SET and three FETs, yields a high voltage gain of 13 and power amplification with a wide-range output window for driving next circuit. Finally, the SET/FET literal gate for a multi-valued logic cell, comprising of an SET, an FET and a constant-current load, displays a periodic voltage output of high/low level multiple switching with a swing as high as 200mV. The multiple switching functionality of all the fabricated logic circuits could be enhanced by utilizing a side gate incorporated to each SET component to enable the phase control of Coulomb oscillations, which is one of the unique characteristics of the SET-based logic circuits.

  • 고속 엘리베이터는 높은 안정성과 제어성이 필요하므로 기동, 정지시에 영 속도를 포함한 정밀 구동이 필요하다. 유도전동기의 정밀 구동을 위하여 사용되어온 벡터 제어 기법은 슬립 주파수 제어에 의한 간접 벡터 제어와 계자편향에 의한 직접벡터 제어의 두가지 종류로 분류할 수 있으며, 직접벡터제어의 경우 전동기 제어 변수의 변화에 강건한 반면에 직접 벡터 제어의 경우 비교적 넓은 속도구간에서 제어가 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서 토크는 직접 벡터기반으로 제어하고, 지속은 간접 벡터 기반으로 제어함으로써 유도전동기의 과도상태 동작과 시동시 영 속도 부근 및 저속 영역에서의 동작이 보다 강건하도록 개선된 직접토크-간접자속(DTIF, Direct Torque Indirect Flux)제어기를 제시하였다. 3상 유도전동기의 구동을 위하여 제안된 시스템의 수행결과는 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 입증하였으며, 영 속도부근과 저속에서 고속으로의 변환과정은 속도응답에 대한 상전압, 상전류 그리고 DC링크 전류를 비교 측정하여 안정하고 강건한 속도변화가 이루어짐을 확인 할 수 있었다.
