공동주택 욕실 급배수 설비소음 평가를 위한 적정어휘 선정에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Selection of the Proper Vocabularies for Evaluation about the Noise Emission from Water Supply and Drain Installations in Apartment Bathroom)

  • This study aims to select the proper vocabularies for evaluation about the noise emission from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. As a result of surveying overlapping vocabularies and scores of them for each sound sources, 'annoying', 'noisy', 'dynamic' and 'strident' are main unpleasant vocabularies to the noise from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. And vocabularies such as 'dynamic', 'sudden', 'loudness', 'noisy' are classified into the first factor by analysis.

연직배수공법에서 수평배수층의 소요통수능 (Required Discharge Capacity for Horizontal Drains Installed with Vertical Drains)

  • 연직배수공법에서 과잉간극수를 배제하기 위해 연직배수재와함께 수평배수층이 지반 위에 설치된다. 이 논문에서는 수평배수층의 통수능을 고려한 압밀해석 방법을 개발하고 수평배수층의 소요통수능을 결정하는 공식을 제안하였다. 이 해석으로부터 성토하중의 재하속도의 영향은 매우 적다는 것을 알게 되었다. 이 공식에서는 압밀계수, 연직배수재의 타설간격, 수평배수층의 배수거리, 압축지수 및 압밀침하 대상층의 두께의 함수로 소요통수능의 결정이 가능하다.

전극형 가습기의 특성을 개선하기 위한 실험적인 연구 (An Experimental Study to Improve the Characteristics of Electrode Type Humidifier)

  • This investigation was performed to study the characteristics of electricity and heat transfer that occur in the cylinder of electrode type humidifier during the process of water evaporation. Measurements were made to obtain the amount of water evaporation, the consumption of electric power, electrical conductivity, etc according to the materials and shapes of electrode. When the humidifier was in non-drain controlled mode, the number and amplitude of current cycle per minute increased gradually with the lapse of time, whereas for drain controlled mode, it decreased about 40[%] after draining water. It was found that for non-drain controlled mode, the thermal efficiency of humidifier which used SS400, STS316 and wire net electrode type was about 95~96[%] and it was 2~4[%] higher than that of drain controlled mode. Also, it was shown that the thermal efficiency of humidifier which used neighboring six-phase electrode balanced electrically was 4[%] higher than that of existing six-phase type.

  • The effect of a variant drain orifice damping on the characteristics of a servovalve flapper-nozzle stage is analyzed. Steady-state characteristics of flapper-nozzle stage and the linearized dynamics of flapper-nozzle assembly with a spool valve show that the variant drain orifice damping could improve such null performance characteristics as null pressure sensitivity and linearity of gain function. Generalized design criterion and a sufficient condition for servovalve stability are also established.

  • Composite discharge capacity tests and smear effect tests are carried out to estimate the parameters for the reliability-based design of vertical drain method. Also the probabilistic and deterministic solutions of radial consolidation theory are presented. It compared to the result of reliability-based design and that of deterministic design using the tested and estimated parameters. The results indicated that the drain spacing is larger the deterministic method than the probabilistic method because the former is not considered the uncertainties in the properties of soil. The divergence of methods is dependent on the probability of achieving target degree of consolidation by a given time and the coefficient of variation(COV) of the coefficient of horizontal consolidation$(c_h)$.

  • A metal gate MOSFET with source/drain regions self-aligned to gate region is proposed. The proposed MOS transistor is fabricated by utilizing the higher oxidation rate of source/drain regions with high doping concentration when compared with channel region with moderate doping. The thick oxide on the source/drain regions reduces the gate and drain(source) overlap capacitance down to that of a self-aligned polysilicon gate device while allowing the use of a metal gate with much lower resistivity than the more commonly used polycrystalline silicon. A ring oscillator composed of 15 inverter stages has been computer simulated using SPICE. The results of the simulation show good agreement with experimental measurement confirming the fast switching speed of propesed MOSFET.

  • Carbon-nanotube field-effect transistors (CNFETs) have drawn wide attention as one of the potential substitutes for metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) in the sub-10-nm era. Output characteristics of coaxially gated CNFETs were simulated using FETToy simulator to reveal the dependence of drain current on the nanotube diameter and gate oxide thickness. Nanotube diameter and gate oxide thickness employed in the simulation were 1.5, 3, and 6 nm. Simulation results show that drain current becomes large as the diameter of nanotube increases or insulator thickness decreases, and nanotube diameter affects the drain current more than the insulator thickness. An equation relating drain saturation current with nanotube diameter and insulator thickness is also proposed.

  • We investigate the enhanced effects of asymmetry ratio variations of the source and drain area in silicon (Si) field-effect transistor (FET). Photoresponse according to the variation of asymmetry difference between the width of source and drain are obtained by using the plasmonic terahertz (THz) wave detector simulation based on technology computer-aided design (TCAD) with the quasi-plasma 2DEG model. The simulation results demonstrate the potential of Si FETs with asymmetric source and drain structures as the promising plasmonic THz detectors.

수명배수공법에 있어서 부압의 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Effects of Negative Pressure on Horizontal Drain Method)

  • The horizontal drain method is one of methods improving reclamation ground. This method reduces consolidation time by using drained installed horizontally, and negative pressure is applied on end of these drains by vacuum pump. But, effective negative pressure still wasn't evaluated in applying this method to reclamation ground. To estimate optimum negative pressure, soil box test that make a model the in-situ by installing horizontal drains in the center is performed pressing different vacuum pressure In the laboratory, and the variations in settlement and volume of drained water through the drains during consolidation process were measured. Also, water content with distance from drain and with depth is measured after the test.

준설매립지반의 안정처리를 위한 수평배수재의 공학적 특성 (Engineering Characteristics of Horizontal Drainage for Stabilization of Dredged Fill)

  • In this study, the charactersistics of horizontal drains used to stabilize the dredged fill are investigated experimentally by doing tensile strength test, discharge capacity test, and filter clogging test. The types of the drains selected for the study are filament type (Tyre-E), embossed type(Type-P) and heat bonded cubic type with the thickness 10mm(Type-010) and 5mm(Type-05). The results of tensile strength and discharge capacity test show that the performance of drain Type-O10 was better than the other drains. This is caused by the fact that the lattice shape core of drain Type-O10 has strong rigidity and minimizes the loss of the sectional area of discharge with increased confining pressure. Analyzing the compatibility of filters by the results of the strength characteristics test and clogging test, the filter of filament type drain produced with polyester clothed polyamide performed well.
