In this study, it was tried to experimentally judge the positional accuracy of digital maps, which are being constructed with a vast of investment and national endeavor. Using GPS and Total Station, field surveying to assess the positional accuracy of 1:5,000 digital maps was conducted. According to these results, the digital maps were compared to the real field test. And in order to check the positional accuracy standard of digital maps, theoretical positional accuracy of 1:5,000 digital maps are compared with that from field test data to propose research activities for hereafter positional accuracy standard of digital map.
Analog and Digital Speed Control Systems have mutually complementary properties. Analog System has good dynamic characteristics and moderate steady-state accuracy and can be implemented economically with operational a ampliers. Digital System, on the contray, has good static accuracy, but relatively poor dynamic property. So, a hybrid system which uses both digital and analog control can have good static and dynamic characteristics. In this paper, it is shown that a simple digital controller can improve steady-state accuracy of existing analog control system satisfactorily, and some design criteria are presented also.
PURPOSE. The present study compared the accuracy between digital and conventional implant impressions. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The experimental models were divided into six groups depending on the implant location and the scanning span. Digital impressions were captured using the intraoral optical scanner TRIOS (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark). Conventional impressions were taken with the monophase impression material based on addition-cured silicones, Honigum-Mono (DMG, Hamburg, Germany). A high-precision laboratory scanner D900 (3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark) was used to obtain digital data of resin models and stone casts. Surface tessellation language (STL) datasets from scanner were imported into the analysis software Geomagic Qualify 14 (3D Systems, Rock Hill, SC, USA), and scan body deviations were determined through two-dimensional and three-dimensional analyses. Each scan body was measured five times. The Sidak t test was used to analyze the experimental data. RESULTS. Implant position and scanning distance affected the impression accuracy. For a unilateral arch implant and the mandible models with two implants, no significant difference was observed in the accuracy between the digital and conventional implant impressions on scan bodies; however, the corresponding differences for trans-arch implants and mandible with six implants were extremely significant (P<.001). CONCLUSION. For short-span scanning, the accuracy of digital and conventional implant impressions did not differ significantly. For long-span scanning, the precision of digital impressions was significantly inferior to that of the traditional impressions.

The aim of this article was to review various methods used to evaluate the accuracy of digital dental models. When evaluating the accuracy of digital models, the errors can be reduced by educating examiners and using artificial landmarks. The accuracy evaluation methods of digital dental models are divided into linear measurement, 2-dimensional cross-sectional analysis, and 3-dimensional best fit measurement. As the technology of scanners develops, many studies have been conducted to compare the accuracy of digital impression and conventional impression. According to improvement of scan technologies and development of 3-dimensional model analysis software, the ability to evaluate the accuracy of digital models is becoming more efficient. In this article, we describe the methods for evaluating the accuracy of a digital model and investigate effective accuracy analysis methods for each situation.
Comparing to general scanning data, the 3D digital map for large construction sites and complex buildings consists of millions of points. The large construction site needs to be scanned multiple times by drone photogrammetry or terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) survey. The scanned point cloud data are required to be registrated with high resolution and high point density. Unlike the registration of 2D data, the matrix of translation and rotation are used for registration of 3D point cloud data. Archiving high accuracy with 3D point cloud data is not easy due to 3D Cartesian coordinate system. Therefore, in this study, iterative closest point (ICP) registration method for improve accuracy of 3D digital map was employed by different overlap ratio on 3D digital maps. This study conducted the accuracy test using different overlap ratios of two digital maps from 10% to 100%. The results of the accuracy test presented the optimal overlap ratios for an ICP registration method on digital maps.

National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency(NGA) developed VPF in mid 1980 to digitalize military geospatial information. However, because VPF is very complicated system and was severly inefficient in producing, maintaining, and managing the data, VPF was required to be replaced by more efficient data format. These requests resulted in an integrated schema, and eventually VPF. The main idea of using FDB in the production of digital map of non-accessible area is to increase the accuracy. This research focuses on the production of high accuracy digital map by utilizing the FDB. The accuracy of digital map by FDB and by DGN was individually compared with 1m CIB imagery of the Korean peninsula. By analyzing 38 check points based on CIB, DGN showed RMSE of 52m X axis and 49m Y axis. FDB showed 15m in X axis and 13m in Y axis. These results show that the digital map produced using FDB has much higher accuracy than DGN based digital map.

PURPOSE. This study aimed to investigate whether the accuracy of intraoral scanners is influenced by different scanning strategies in an in vitro setting, through a systematic review and meta-analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS. This review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 standard. The following PICOS approach was used: population, tooth impressions; intervention, the use of intraoral scanners with scanning strategies different from the manufacturer's instructions; control, the use of intraoral scanners following the manufacturers' requirements; outcome, accuracy of intraoral scanners; type of studies, in vitro. A comprehensive literature search was conducted across various databases including Embase, SciELO, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The inclusion criteria were based on in vitro studies that reported the accuracy of digital impressions using intraoral scanners. Analysis was performed using Review Manager software (version 5.3.5; Cochrane Collaboration, Copenhagen, Denmark). Global comparisons were made using a standardized mean difference based on random-effect models, with a significance level of α = 0.05. RESULTS. The meta-analysis included 15 articles. Digital impression accuracy significantly improved under dry conditions (P < 0.001). Moreover, trueness and precision were enhanced when artificial landmarks were used (P ≤ 0.02) and when an S-shaped pattern was followed (P ≤ 0.01). However, the type of light used did not have a significant impact on the accuracy of the digital intraoral scanners (P ≥ 0.16). CONCLUSION. The accuracy of digital intraoral scanners can be enhanced by employing scanning processes using artificial landmarks and digital impressions under dry conditions.

The accuracy of Digital Map does not meet the user's expectation, including the many errors caused while producing the project, this will be useless resulting waste of enormous national budget. To solve this Accuracy problem, clear regulations about the position accuracy of scaled Digital Map should be set immediately and provide the users with accurate information about Digital Map enabling the users to use Digital Map for each GIS application field. For this reason, the position accuracy evaluation of existing Digital Maps produced in diverse methods is on demand. In this study, therefore, we performed horizontal position survey of local selected Facilities Total Station equipment to evaluate the horizontal position accuracy of 1:1,000, 1:5,000 scaled Digital Map, obtained standard deviation using the results, performed T-Test to confirm the presence of bias and evaluated the position accuracy of Digital Map.

Generally, the latest acquisition method of geo-spatial informations in urban area is executed by generation of digital elevation model (DEM) and digital ortho image by digital photogrammetry method which is used large scale photo image. However, the biggest problem of this method is coarse accuracy of DEM which is automatically generated by digital photogrammetry workstation system. The coarse accuracy of DEM caused geo-spatial information in urban area to reduce of accuracy. Therefore, this study is purposed to increase of DEM accuracy which is applied to method terrain classification in urban area. As the results of this study, the proposed method of this study which is increased to accuracy of DEM by classification of terrain is better than accuracy of DEM which is automatically generated by digital photogrammetry workstaion system. And, the edge detection method which is proposed by this study is established to capability of 3D digital mapping in urban area.
Oscillation-based testing of analog-to-digital converters represents a viable option for low-cost built-in self-testing in mixed-signal design. While numerous papers have addressed implementation issues, little attention has been paid to the measurement accuracy. In this letter, we highlight an inherent measurement uncertainty which has to be considered when deriving the parameters from the oscillation frequency.
