This study is aimed at developing a measurement instrument for the superior product development program of Deli Serdang cassava, Indonesia. This research population is the target population of Deli Serdang Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) which produces cassava. The sample was randomly selected and consisted of 300 MSMEs. The study method is research and development with confirmatory factor analysis using Amos software. The data collection technique was a questionnaire. Study results used the maximum likelihood method which showed that the validity and reliability instruments met the ideal loading factor value > 0.5 and a significance value of p (0.000). The model built also meets the fit criteria based on the Goodness of Fit Model Standard. All instruments are presented to build and measure the superior cassava product development program by Deli Serdang MSMEs. This superior product development program comprises (1) economic contribution (with a loading factor value of 0.76) (2) social aspects (with a loading factor value of 0.76) (3) cultural aspects (with a loading factor value of 0.99) and (4) institutional (with a loading factor value of 0.87). This result means that all instruments have proven construct validity.

This article examines the way of the functionality of policy instruments for the development of renewable energy through the case of the wind power. The general barrier of the renewable energy development is considered to be the economic barrier. However the principal issue is the political barrier without the broad cooperation between the host government and the firm. Maintaining the long-term competitive advantage requires the shift of not only the strategy following the external circumstance but also the internal capacity development to utilize resources. Thus the comparative case study of Sri Lanka and Germany proposes the analysis of the supply-push and demand-pull policy with five patterns on the development of wind power in order to suggest how the functionality of policy instruments must be served to foster the wind power.

Objective: This study aimed to review scales and tests developed for or validated with children and their families that were published in the Korean Journal of Child Studies from 1984 to 2016. Specifically, the purpose of the present study was to analyze the contents and format of the selected instruments, as well as to evaluate their psychometric properties. Methods: Using several databases and journal archives from the Korean Journal of Child Studies, searches were implemented using the key terms: instrument, scale, development, and validation. Instruments from 76 selected studies were reviewed based on several characteristics, such as assessment areas, contents, respondents, responding types, and psychometric properties. Results and Conclusion: First, a majority of the reviewed instruments were developed for infants and children, whereas only one was developed for adolescents. With regard to their specific measurement domains, many instruments focused on social emotional development among children. Second, with a few exceptions, the selected studies provided appropriate evidence for the reliability of the instrument, including its internal consistency, inter-rater reliability, and spilt-half reliability. Many studies also reported on the criterion-related or construct validity of the instrument to establish its validity. Future studies need to develop instruments across diverse developmental areas that collect information from multiple sources and raters. In addition, more evidence on the reliability and validity of the reviewed instruments should be provided to demonstrate their psychometric qualities.

Despite the growing interest and normative discussions on AI ethics, there is a lack of discussion on policy instruments that are necessary for companies to develop AI-based services in compliance with ethical principles. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore policy instruments that can encourage companies to voluntarily comply with and adopt AI ethical standards and self-checklists. The study reviews previous research and similar cases on AI ethics, conducts interviews with AI-related companies, and analyzes the data using AHP to derive action plans. In terms of desirability and feasibility, Research findings show that policy instruments that induce companies to ethically develop AI-based services should be prioritized, while regulatory instruments require a cautious approach. It was also found that a consulting support policy consisting of experts in various fields who can support the use of AI ethics, and support for the development of solutions that adhere to AI ethical standards are necessary as incentive policies. Additionally, the participation and agreement of various stakeholders in the process of establishing AI ethical standards are crucial, and policy instruments need to be continuously supplemented through implementation and feedback. This study is significant as it presents the necessary policy instruments for companies to develop ethical AI-based services through an analytical methodology, moving beyond discursive discussions on AI ethical principles. Further analysis on the effectiveness of policy instruments linked to AI ethical principles is necessary for establishing ethical AI-based service development.

We constructed 3-D images by HMD (Head Mount Display) type and polarization technique through which a training instrument of binocular function based on clinical vision therapy was developed and investigated its demand. To design the instrument that performs Test- Diagnosis - (Prescription) - Training - Treatment we provided a customized training method for the trainers using optical IT instruments of binocular test. Through the contents and the instruments of the vision therapy technology developed in this work we can replace the current vision test instruments to those costing 60% lower price in eye clinics and eye glasses shops. By replacing the existing vision test instruments it is possible to create a new market of the vision therapy in vision training instruments.

The purpose of this study was to review the current state and characteristics of instruments used to assess individual understanding of the nature of science (NOS). This study conducted a series of content analyses of the articles published in a total of seven Korean and international journals from 1990 to 2009. A total of 99 research papers and assessment tools were categorized according to their features such as item type, the method of development, philosophical perspectives and others. So, evaluation domains of the instruments were also compared with the features of the NOS endorsed in some standards science education documents internationally well known, such as Benchmarks for Science Literacy (AAAS, 1993), National Science Education Standards (NRC, 1996). It was found that VNOS was the most frequently used instrument used for the last 20 years. There was a difference between characteristics of instruments used in Korean journals and these in international journal, such as philosophical perspectives, item type. Moreover, the results showed that there were only a few of instruments to ask about ethics of scientists, significance of science process skill and the context. NOS instruments focused only on limited aspects of NOS emphasized by the standard documents.

Industrial Measuring Instrument is a general name of equipments or tools for measuring and weighing. Inaccurate measuring instruments produce inferior goods in spite of excellent experts, good materials and wonderful equipments. Three characteristics are important for measuring instruments: choosing the proper instruments for measuring, using them properly and managing them to keep accuracy and precision. The purpose of this thesis is to develope the management standard for effective control of measuring instruments by analysing the problems and the management conditions of 100 PPM certified companies out of the domestic small and medium manufacturing industry, which steadily carry out quality control.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review and to describe the characteristics of child abuse screening instruments. Methods: Articles regarding the development of a child abuse screening instrument were investigated using the systematic review method. A literature search using the keywords "child and abuse or maltreatment and instrument or screening tool" in English, and "child," "abuse," and "instrument" in Korean, was conducted of material published in PubMed, PsycINFO, CINAHL, SCOPUS, ERIC, and RISS. Database and bibliographic searches, and quality appraisal using the Quality Assessment of Diagnostic Accuracy Studies tool that included systemic reviews, yielded 17 records. Results: Key elementary child abuse screening instruments were developed for physical, psychiatric, affective and sexual and child neglect assessment. The instruments' target populations were children at home and in institutions. The reviewed instruments had the advantage of diagnosing past, concurrent, and indirectly, potential child abuse. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrate that child abuse screening instruments are available for screening and for assessment of abused children in various circumstances. This review of child abuse screening instruments offers evidence for the acceptable use of optimal psychometric tools for child abuse assessment and provides guidelines for child health nursing practice.

가상계기(Virtual Instrument)란 가상환경에서 보이지 않는 속성을 측정하거나 혹은 사용자 인터랙션을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 도와주는 모바일 소프트웨어를 일컫는다. 지난 몇 년간 우리는 여러 학습용 가상환경에 적합한 다양한 가상계기들을 개발했는데, 가상현실 시스템과 모바일 컴퓨팅 환경 등에 관한 지식이 필요해서 초보 개발자들에겐 그 과정이 비교적 어렵고 시간이 많이 걸리는 작업이었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그동안 여러 가상계기들을 만들어 본 경험을 바탕으로 가상계기 개발에 필요한 요구사항들에 대해서 살펴보았다. 그리고 이런 가상계기를 쉽게 구현 할 수 있도록 도와주는 가상계기 스크립팅 툴킷(VIST: Virtual Instrument Scripting Toolkit)을 설명한다. 마지막으로 가상계기 스크립팅 툴킷을 활용한 예를 보여주고, 추후 연구 방향에 대해 논한다.

The purpose of this study is to illuminate the reason why community building policies by the Government seem to fail to work properly in Korea. The existing studies focus mainly on designing community building systems, thus they cannot provide plausible explanations about the cause of the unsuccessful outcomes from the policies. To overcome the limitations of the existing studies, the authors examine the implementation factors to influence the policy instruments with the perspective of policy implementation. By performing the analysis, the results imply the implementation factors, such as executer's competence, supports by related interests, incentive systems, and legal-institutional instruments, are important to influence the implementation performance of the relevant policy instruments. To make community building successful policies, The authors therefore suggest that the capacity of local administrators and residents should be raise, and one of which the way to enhance is to support research and program development by the resident-oriented living laboratory systems in localities.
