홀로그래피를 이용한 정전집진기 집진판의 진동 특성 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Characteristics of Collecting Plate in the Electrostatic Precipitator Using Holograpy)

  • In this study, the characteristics of generation and propagarion of transient wave induced in the assembly of four collecting plate upon the propagation of waves are analyzed. Also double exposure holographic inteferometry using ruby pulse laser is built in order to investigate the propagation of transient waves generated by impact load. When impact load was applied at edge of connecting band, the vibration of collecting plates was generated from the contact points between collecting plate and band which connects four collecting plates. Waves generated from the lower part and those reflected from the upper part were mixed as time went on and then formed very complex shapes. Also, when impact load was aplied at center of collecting plate, the waves propagating across the convexo-concave plane were reflected partly at curved section. Therefore the vibration amplitude was decreased as the transiet waves were propagated through the convexo-concave plane.

탄성 구조물의 안정성을 고려한 형상설계민감도해석 (Shape Design Sensitivity Analysis for Stability of Elastic Structures)

  • This paper addresses the method for the shape design sensitivity analysis of the buckling load in the continuous elastic body. The sensitivity formula for critical load is analytically derived and expressed in terms of shape variation, based on the continuum formulation of the stability problem. Though the buckling problem is more efficiently solved by the structural elements such as beam and shell, the elastic solids are considered in this paper because the solid elements can be used in general for any kind of structures whether they are thick or thin. The initial stress and buckling analysis is carried out by the commercial analysis code ANSYS. The sensitivity is computed by using the mathematical package MATLAB using the results of ANSYS. Several problems including straight and curved beams under compressive load, ring under pressure load, thin-walled section and bottle shaped column are chosen to illustrate the efficiency of the presented method.

  • In order to construct the extrusion die surface of arbitrarily shaped sections, an automatic surface construction method based on NURBS surface and area mapping method is proposed in the present work. In the present study, a center point for area mapping is determined by introducing the marring concept based on constant area proportionality between original billet and final product. The characteristic points of inlet profile is determined using the traditional area mapping method and the root finding numerical method. The inlet and outlet profiles are precisely described with NURBS curves using the characteristic points of entry and exit sections. For the construction of NURBS surface, an interpolation method for the pre-determined two section curves has been developed to be used in the generation of interior control points and weights. To show the validity of the proposed method, automatic die surface generation is carried out for the several kinds of shaped sections.

측류흐름이 있는 만곡부 흐름의 해석 (Analysis of flow in a open channel with curved section and side branches)

  • 측류취수로와 만곡부가 있는 원형수로를 1:20으로 축척한 모형수로에 대해 수리모형실험을 수행하여 만곡부에서의 유속, 수위와 유황과 같은 수리학적 특성을 살펴보고, 측류취수로가 만곡부에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 도한 모형수로에 대해 ADI방법으로 천수방정식을 수치해석하여 얻은 만곡부에서의 수리학적 특성을 실험에 의한 것과 비교하여 사용된 수치기법으로 검증하였다. 대상이 된 전영역에 대하여 수리모형실험에서 얻어진 유속, 수위와 유황은 수치해석한 결과와 잘 일치한다. 그러나 직각좌표계를 사용함으로서 상대적으로 만곡부에서 단면축소 효과가 발생하므로 수치해석으로 얻어진 유속은 만곡부에서 실험치보다 약간 크게 나타나는데, 이것은 격자간격을 줄이면 개선되리라 판단된다. 수리모형실험과 수치해석 모두 만곡부 외측의 수위가 상승하고 내측의 유속이 빨라지는 만곡부의 특성을 잘 모사하고 있다. 만곡부 직전에 측류취수로가 있을 경우 측류취수로의 영향이 만곡수로내까지 미침을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents the numerical results of the stress analysis of wheel-rail contact problems. Two models which have straight and tapered(1:20) contact geometries between the wheelset and rail are analyzed using the finite element approach. From the simulation results we found that the tapered geometry of wheel-rail contact base line showed very stable contact stress distributions for a whole contact position between the wheel and rail in a curved rail section. The FEM computed results may present an optimized geometry of wheel-rail contact in a high-speed railway system.

Modal Radiation Efficiency of Swaged Panels

  • Swaging technique is frequently used to stiffen thin panels for reducing the vibration levels of the machine or vehicle structure. Because the internal constraints imposed by swages can distort the mode shapes of panels, they affect the sound radiation characteristics. In this paper, the radiated sound field generated by the idealized and baffled finite swaged panel is studied, in which the curved swage section is modeled as an incomplete cylindrical shell. The modal radiation efficiencies are predicted using the transfer matrix concept and compared with those of flat panels. It is observed that the radiation efficiencies of the swaged vibrational modes can increase slightly for frequencies below the critical frequency, while increase of radiation efficiency depends on the mode shapes and other related structural parameters.

  • Tool interference is one of the most critical problems in sculptured surface machining. When machining cavities and concaves, the tool frequently overcuts the portions of the surface, which cause inaccuracy in machining. So tool interference-free paths must be generated for rough cutting more efficiently. In this paper a software using SSI(Surface/Surface intersection) algorithm is developed for eliminating tool interference which occurs in an offset surface in 3-dimensional free form surface modeling. this work consists of two stages : using the offset data, the intersection curves are rapidly checked by this algorithm at the first stage. CL(cutter location) data are obtained by deleting the loop section of intersected offset patches at the second stage. This algorithm can reduce the amount of memory required to store machining data and also easily check region which have the possibility of intersection. Also, This software is verified to be useful in machining a curved object on a DNC milling machine.

  • The purpose of the present study is to propose a new way of manufacturing curved metal tubes with arbitrary sections and way of eliminating the conventional bending defects such as thinning and thickening, in the wall of tube, distortion of the section, and wrinkling and folding on the surface by the extrusion bending process that can extrude and weld together one or more billets inside dies cavity, and can bend them during extrusion due to the gradient of extrusion velocities controlled by the eccentricity of the cavity sections between the entrance and the exit of the eccentric conical extrusion bending dies and conical plug, or by the relative size of the holes of multi-hole container, or by the relative moving velocity of multi-punches.

  • 본 연구에서는 교량 구조물의 콘크리트덱에 시공시 생기는 건조수축과 크리프에서 오는 영향을 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 4가지의 교량을 비교하였으며, 그 중 두 개의 직선복합 상자교량과 2개의 곡선상자교량을 (+)모멘트 지역과 (-)모멘트 지역프로 구분하여 위의 영향에서 오는 응력변화의 차이점을 검토하였다. 또한 변형율과 처짐에 미치는 영향도 검토하였다. 해석 방식 은 Vlasov의 미분방정식을 이용하였으며, 유한차분법(Finite Difference Method)을 사용하였다.
