교육대학교 사회과 심화과정 지리 영역의 현상과 개선 방향 (The Status Quo and New Directions in Geography Education of the Social Studies Curriculum of Universities of Education)

  • 전국 교육대학교 학생들의 최소한 과반수는 학부 4년 동안 지리 강좌를 전혀 이수하지 못한 채 학교 현장에 투입되며, 그 수준에서 사회교과서의 1/3을 차지하고 있는 지리 영역을 담당한다. 이 연구는 교육대학교 사회과 심화과정 지리 영역의 현상을 기술하고 그 문제점과 개선 방향을 도출하는 것에 목적을 두었다. 여기에 접근하기 위해 취한 관점은 심화과정의 편제를 교양과정 및 전공과정과의 관계의 측면에서 검토해야 한다는 것이고, 다른 한편으로는 국가 수준의 초등사회과 교육과정을 준거로 삼아야 한다는 것이다. 연구 결과, 전공과정과 심화과정의 사회과교육(공통) 강좌의 중복성, 교양과정과 심화과정 강좌의 비연동성, 심화과정 구성에 있어 특정 영역에 대한 편중성 등이 지리 영역의 취약성과 직결되어 있었다. 연구자는 국가 수준에서 규정한 초등사회과 교육과정, 교과내용학과 교과교육학의 조화, 그리고 지리, 역사, 일반사회 영역간의 형평성을 준거로 삼아 초등 지리 영역의 취약성을 만회할 수 있는 여섯 가지 개선 방향을 제언하였다.

K-MOOC 강좌 개발과 효율적인 운영 방법 탐색 (Development of K-MOOC Course and it's efficient management method exploration)

  • This study aims to explore a plan for the educational application of K-MOOC brought into relief as a new education system and to draw a direction of improvement for increasing learners' satisfaction through the development and operation of the K-MOOC Course. The colleges produce and provide the MOOC Course as a counterplan through college innovation to respond to social changes due to the reduction of school-age population. Thus, this study selected the target courses for the operation of K-MOOC and proceeded with the development of a course, referring to the guidelines for the development and operation of the K-MOOC Course at the National Institute for Lifelong Education with the quantity for 14 weeks (About 50 minutes per week) for the period of the development of the course of about 5 months. The development of the course was made in the stages of design, development, inspection, and operation. The implications of the operation of K-MOOC obtained through this study are as follows: First, in order to increase the utilization of the MOOC Course, it is necessary to operate it in connection with the regular curriculum; second, it is necessary to have desirable communication to induce the interaction and academic motivation between the instructor and the learners; and third, it is necessary to analyze the relationship of the impact by each background factor through analyzing satisfaction with the lecture and continue to assure the quality of the course through understanding the learners' demands. For this purpose, it is important to experience new attempts directly and analyze the performance of education and the satisfaction of consumers and the instructor in detail, and it is necessary to construct a curriculum suitable for K-MOOC and seek an effective teaching method.

PBL과 협력적 교수법을 적용한 융합 교과목 개발 (Developing a convergence course applying project-based learning and collaborative teaching methods)

  • This study aimed to develop a new convergence course applying project-based learning (PBL) and collaborative teaching methods and identify its educational effects. The course development proceeded as follows: First, three instructors collaborated to define course goals, plan objectives, content, and methods, and create a syllabus for a PBL-based fashion studio course. Roles were divided to maximize expertise: one instructor focused on fashion design, another on three-dimensional cutting, and the third on flat cutting, and digital techniques. Second, the classes were conducted and feedback on student progress was shared, enhancing class quality and engagement. Third, teaching effectiveness was assessed through learner evaluation questionnaires, reflection journals, and performance assessments. Lastly, based on the results from these evaluations, positive aspects of the course were reviewed, and ways to modify it and enhance course quality for continuous improvement were explored. The results showed high satisfaction with the learning effects on major competencies, indicating that students not only effectively learned major skills but also improved their communication and teamwork. The students perceived the teaching methods positively allowing them to be more active in class. Instructors noted that the course produced higher-quality design and production outcomes compared to previous courses. Overall, the course applying PBL and collaborative teaching methods was found to improve educational quality and effectiveness, making it a valuable approach for learner-centered education.

교육대학교의 컴퓨터교육과정 편제에 대한 개선 방안 (Improvement of a Composition of the Computer Education Curriculum for the Universities of Education)

  • 교육대학교의 컴퓨터교육과정에 대한 개선 방안을 마련하기 위해 전국의 10개 교육대학교의 컴퓨터교육과정을 교양과정, 전공과정, 심화과정 등으로 구분하여 교육과정 편제 및 운영 현황을 분석하였다. 또한, 전주교육대학교 1학년 학생 전체를 대상으로 정보활용능력을 평가하고, 컴퓨터교육에 대한 인식과 개선 방안에 대한 의견을 조사하였다. 컴퓨터교육과정에 대한 개선 방안은 다음과 같다. 우선, 초등교원양성이라는 교육대학교의 공통된 목적 달성을 위해 표준화된 컴퓨터교육과정을 마련하고, 체계적인 초등학교 컴퓨터교육을 위해서 컴퓨터교육에 대한 전공과정을 늘려야 하며, 예비교원의 정보활용능력을 조사하고 부족한 부분을 보완할 수 있는 다양한 선택과목을 제공해야 한다.

산업체 연계 프로젝트 기반 학습(PBL)을 활용한 성형해석 실습 교과목 운영 사례 연구 (Case Study on Education of Metal Forming Simulation Practice Subject through Industry-linked Project Based Learning)

  • The purpose of this study is to conduct Project Based Learning (PBL) in collaboration with industry experts to operate practical subjects in an industry-university-linked teaching method. PBL is a teaching method in which students can learn through actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects. For a long period of time, PBL methodologies have been found to be especially effective in engineering education. This case study deals with the operational results of a practice subject which has been conducted over three years from 2017 to 2019 in Korea University of Technology and Education. The course is for the 4th grade students in the school of mechatronics engineering. The results of the surveyed learning outcomes (for example, Program Outcomes and Course Learning Outcomes) have been analyzed and reflected in the next years for the Continuous Quality Improvement. By working on practical projects linked to industry, students have been able to develop so-called 4C's capabilities which are Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration.

  • To improve the educational system of Korea Maritime Police Agency(KMPA), the authors investigate and evaluate the present course and curricula in details comparing with the systems of USCG and JCG. As a result, it is suggested that KMPA find the diverse route to recruit good-quality officers, develop the future-oriented system, coordinate the course and curricula to meet the role and mission of KMPA. Besides, KMPA build the own training facility and train special instructors.

학제간 융합수업의 핵심역량 향상 효과 분석 -대인관계, 자원·정보·기술의 활용, 의사소통 역량을 중심으로- (Analyzing the effect of Interdisciplinary Course of Design, Business and Literature : Focusing on Human Relations, Resource & Information Use and Communication competency)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학부생 대상 학제간 융합 전공수업이 수강생의 대인관계, 자원 정보 기술의 활용, 의사소통 역량 향상의 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 학제간 융합수업 수강생 43명을 실험집단으로, 융합수업과 관련이 없는 교과목 수강생 44명을 통제집단으로 나누었다. 각 역량 및 하위영역의 역량 향상 정도를 알아보기 위해 집단 내변화량 차이 대응표본 t-검정, 사후검사 집단 간 차이 독립표본 t-검정을 시행하였다. 연구결과, 학제간 융합수업은 대인관계 역량 향상에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였으나, 자원 정보 기술의 활용 역량과 의사소통 역량은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 학제간 융합수업 설계 시, 기존의 자원 정보 기술의 활용과 의사소통 역량 향상 활동에 대한 수정이 필요함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 대학생 핵심역량 진단평가 도구를 활용하여 융합수업의 효과를 검증한 것으로서 핵심역량 기반 융합수업의 경험적 연구 사례로서 의의가 있다.

대학 교수자의 수업전문성 향상을 목적으로 하는 e-티칭 포트폴리오의 구성요소 탐색 (An Exploration on Elements of e-Teaching Portfolio for Enhancing Teaching Expertise in Higher Education)

  • This study has explored the elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education. This study is carried out through the literature review and expert's focus group interview. As the result of this study, seven elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education have been found. First, 'personal background' include curriculum vitae, course responsibility, and other educational activities. Second, 'teaching philosophy' include the principals on teaching and learning, statements of teaching philosophy. Third, 'learning environment' include the characteristics of students, the previous learning contents, and physical environment. Forth, 'course contents and methods' include teaching strategies and instructional materials, Fifth, 'instructional evaluation' includes the principals of evaluation and the examples of learning outcomes. Sixth, 'endeavor for improvement of instruction' include evidence of activity for teaching improvement and instruction feedback from peer and students. And e-teaching portfolio also includes research career and awards history element.

공학교육인증을 위한 프로그램 레벨의 CQI 구현 방안 (A Method Enabling Program-Level CQI for Accreditation of Engineering Education)

  • Accreditation of engineering education as initiated by Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK) centers around three key issues: program outcomes, assessment/evaluation thereof, and continuous quality improvement (CQI). Most engineering departments, however, are neither adequately familiar with nor well prepared for the issues, especially CQI. The CQI in almost all departments seems to be overly confined in individual courses and the final capstone design courses for seniors; there is no evidence that CQI is not limited to the course level but flows through all courses in the curriculum. This paper presents a sound and viable framework for CQI implementation in which course-level CQI is integrated into the department/program-level CQI.
