Development of Novel Electrode Materials for Plasma Display Panel

  • In this paper, we mainly deal with metallic electrode materials and patterning processing of plasma display panels. We focus on the recent development status, where low cost and high performance electrode materials such as Ag-based single-layered bus, low cost-in-use and anti-migration address electrodes are briefly introduced. The technological trends and further works on novel electrode materials and processing are also discussed.

  • An optimal selection problem of SCM system is one of the critical issues for the company's competitiveness and performance under global economy. This paper presents a hierarchy model consisted of characteristic factors for introducing SCM system and an AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) based decision-making model for SCM system evaluation and selection. The proposed model can systematically construct the objectives of SCM system selection to meet the business goals. This paper focuses on selecting an optimal SCM system considering both all decision factors and sub-decision factors of a hierarchy model. Especially, the benefit/cost analysis is applied to choose SCM system. A case study shows the feasibility of the proposed model and the model can help a company to make better decision-making in the SCM system selection problem.

  • The high speed rolling stock system considerably belongs to a special industry which requires large-scale investment cost but the recovery term is long. Therefore, to guarantee risk and possibility of technological success in initial investment, tools concerned with various expecting methods like life cycle costs analysis and credibility management are used. In view of this characteristics, the cases on cost structure for HSR RS previously invested should be studied and the method to appropriately allocate the life cycle of each sub-system like arrangement unit, electric device, braking device, door and car body should be realized. Moreover, the environmental aspects of main manufacturer and parts supplier can be checked. This study, through the case study for HSR cost structure in introduction and operational stage of KTX, aims to seek for the method to adapt to environmental changes like EU railway industry of which object is to acquire global market competitiveness by integrating manufacturing and operation of RS and the regulation and operation of IRIS which is performed in Europe.

  • The purpose of this study was to look up the proper inventory management system in construction industry. it is important for construction company to improve competitiveness and to reduce construction cost. Lot-sizing techniques were applied to rebar procurement in apartment project. The results of this study were as follows; the method of Groff's marginal cost showed the best performance of other techniques and the method of Norman showed a similar result.

  • In this paper, an integrated management software is developed to promote the business competitive power. The interoperability among the software accounts for an ever growing performance of petrochemical plant project. If the interoperability is built up, company has taken advantages of quality, schedule, cost, and safety by active communication. The advantage of an integrated management software is examined in three aspects. In efficiency aspect, It takes advantage of the saving about the various information and the standard of project performance procedure. In quality, the integration gave aid to a quality improvement through team collaboration and data management within project life cycle. In cost, poor communications between systems waste 30% of project costs. If information could be inputted once and used by all, reductions in delivery time up to 40% were possible. Therefore, 10% savings of engineering cost was also possible.

  • Is not used by consistency transport at transport of freight nothing but is using Pallet only by pedestal when work palletized unit load or materials handling when keep simplicity receptacle which fill raw material or product in factory in our country. Therefore, pallet that is most important function of Pallet is not empled circulation to end consumer from manufacturing plant which is circulation process whole path being done and factory. It is real condition stopping only in extremely determinate part process use of warehouse back. Additionally, it is possible to figure out the flow of all the materials loaded on the RFID pallet; product, material, raw material immediately, so that epoch-making management is possible and it contributes to the reduction of logistics cost because there are little loss or outflow of pallet. The materials flow is getting speedy and inventory is decreasing in the logistics process, and also bad inventory and loss problems are prevented. As a result, not only logistics cost of company but also national logistics cost is decreased. Thus it contributes to the strength of national competitiveness.

  • Fairchild has been developing a new class IPM called SPM consisting of dramatic Packaging technology to achieve the lowest cost rind better performance for low power home appliances and industrial AC drive applications. The first Fairchild SPM development with IGBT 600V/15A for washing machine application started in 1999 and was completed successfully. Fairchild SPMs are going to be the best solution for low power inverter-driven AC drive system after 2001. The new SPM Packages like SPM ∥ and SPIM for the next generation IPM with the highest competitiveness (cost & performance) shall be continuouslly developed.

천연가스(CNG)버스 보급정책의 타당성 제고를 위한 연구 (Economics Approach on Validity of CNG Bus Promotion Policy)

  • 우리나라의 대기 질 악화현상을 개선하기 위하여 정부에서는 수송부문에 있어서 경유자동차를 대체하는 친환경차량의 보급 필요성을 인식하여, 지난 2000년대부터 천연가스(CNG: Compressed Natural Gas)버스의 보급정책을 실시하여 왔다. 이에 따라 수도권 및 대도시를 중심으로 CNG버스의 보급량이 지속적으로 증가되어 왔다. 그러나, 2014년도 이후 CNG버스의 증가세가 감소하고 경유버스의 감소세가 둔화되는 등 부침을 겪어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 CNG버스 보급정책의 지속적 추진에도 불구하고 CNG버스 구매 량이 꾸준히 증가하지 못했던 원인과 관련하여 그간 선행연구에서 추정에 그쳐왔던 '경유와 CNG의 연료비 차이가 CNG버스 보급량에 미치는 영향'을 회귀분석으로 검증하였다. 아울러 이러한 문제점에 대하여 정부 부처간 서로 다른 정책목표간 조화 필요성을 제시하는 한편, 경유대비 CNG의 연료가격 경쟁력을 높이기 위한 해결방안을 제시함으로써 CNG 버스 보급정책의 타당성을 제고하였다. 이는 앞으로 정부의 LNG화물차 및 무공해차량(Zero Emission Vehicle)을 대상으로 한 친환경자동차 보급 정책을 추진함에 있어서도 새로운 기준으로 추가되어야 할 것이다.

A Comparative Study on European Container Terminal Operation System

  • As the competition in the liner shipping industry is becoming fiercer, the shipping company is trying to find the way to keep the best competitive position by reducing the cost level as low as possible and offering the best quality of service to their customer. In order to achieve this goal, the selection of port and terminal that have the best quality of service and cost effective structure is essential for the shipping line, where they can only have a chance to save the money. In this context, the paper compares three European container terminals in order to understand the factors that have to be considered in the decision making process for the selection of terminal. And its advantages and disadvantages of each type of container terminal operation system were analyzed from the liner shipping company's point of view in terms of cost, time, flexibility, stability, hinterland connection, geographical position and terminal productivity. It is obvious that the cost factors are very important for liner shipping company to select their terminal. However, there might be even more important factors than the cost factors, such as quality of port and terminal service, mutual trust, and possibility of future development.

사회적 비용을 고려한 국내 주요 발전기술의 균등화발전비용 산정 (LCOE Assessment of Major Power Generation Technologies Reflecting Social Costs)

  • A considerable cost gap between three major power generation technologies, namely nuclear, coal, and combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT), has been a well-established fact in the Korean electricity market. Alternatively, this paper analyzes the levelized costs of electricity (LCOE) of the three technologies reflecting overall social costs of electricity generation including accident risk, $CO_2$ emission, and air pollution damage. The paper unveils to what extent current discriminative subsidies on fuels regarding the social costs, mostly through tax exemptions, affect economic competitiveness of the technologies. In particular, it finds relative positions of coal and CCGT could be altered depending on appreciation level of the social costs. It has limits in analyzing fixed costs of the technologies, however, due to limited data availability of nuclear power, and suggests further studies on the issue.
