In this paper, we've studied on the Breakdownpatterns which hove an effect on Down-Time of Medical Equipment. This study is based on the statistics of MMS(Maintenance Management System) accumulated since the opening of Samsung Medical Center. We hope that this paper, which is acquired through the analysis about the seasonal feature, the work pattern feature and the period used, is useful to reduce a term of Down-Time and to retrench hospital management cost.

This paper presents a joint demosaicking and arbitrary-ratio down sampling algorithm for color filter array (CFA) images. Color demosaiking is a necessary part of image signal processing pipeline for many types of digital image recording system using single sensor. Also, such as smart phone, obtained high resolution image from image sensor has to be down-sampled to be displayed on the screen. The conventional solution is "Demosaicking first and down sampling later". However, this scheme requires a significant amount of memory and computational cost. Also, artifacts can be introduced or details get damaged during demosaicking and down sampling process. In this paper, we propose a method in which demosaicking and down sampling are working simultaneously. We use inverse mapping of Bayer CFA and then joint demosaicking and down sampling with arbitrary-ratio scheme based on signal decomposition of high and low frequency component in input data. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithm has better image quality performance and much less computational cost than those of conventional solution.

In this paper, a preventive maintenance(PM) policy for a repairable system is considered. The failure rate model proposed by Park et at.(2000) is generalized by assuming that after each PM not only the PM slows down the degradation process of the system but also reduces down the system failure rate by a certain fixed amount. Long-run expected cost rate of the PM policy is derived and the properties of joint solution of the optimal PM period and optimal number of PM which minimizes the expected cost rate are obtained. Numerical examples for the case of a Weibull-type failure rate are given.

My company develops, manufactures injection mold and produces thin-walled cosmetics and food containers. Without high quality and low production cost, it is hard to compete in the market. To be competitive, a company has to utilize mold with as many cavities as possible to lower manufacturing cost. Eject plate abrasion and deformation cut down mold lifespan, troubles during injection lower productivity and foreign substances in molds cause abrasion. This study focuses on how to improve mold life and productivity, and to slow down mold abrasion.

In this paper, the power factor correction (PFC) system for inverter air-conditioner that has not only good harmonic characteristics but also cost down-merit compared with the conventional inverter type is proposed. The detail design procedures to get cost-down merits are introduced. And it is shown that the PFC system performances also can be improved by the virtue of the stabilization of output voltage. The proto type system is implemented and tested to virify the additional good performances of the proposed system, and its simulation and experimental results are presented.

This paper proposes a method for the implementation of a power line communication equipment using power line synchronization in a direct-sequence spread spectrum communication system. In order to implement a network using a power line as a transmission channel we have investigated the utilization of direct-sequence speread spctrum which gives such advantages as robustness against narrow-band interference and noise, and realization of multiple access. In a power line, however, complexity of synchronization makes it difficult to realize a multiple access and cost down and system simplification. The proposed technique of power line synchronization makes it possible to get cost down and system size small, and the realization of multiple communication can be achieved by the addition of address setting circuit.

In this practical case study I studied the launching process of Samgak gimbab(the triangle type of rice), which is one if the best selling products to the young generation convenience store these days. And also explained how to down the cost of samgak gimbab to the level of customer's satisfaction. This case is related to 'S' company's strategy. I studied also the generalization of marketing policy especially product development in th convenience store.

Urethane, epoxy, acrylic have common property to adhere on the concrete dried surface in the waterproofing materials at present. In the wet condition, however, the materials such as urethane, epoxy, acrylic need a long hardening time and it become a reason of water leakage as the materials breaking down. it is one of the problem to adhere to the substrate. Therefore, in this thesis, I focused to assure the structural safety and durability and quality for waterproofing and safe of construction cost by cut down the cost of labor and reduce the term of works as searching the application of field condition for hish adhesive spray type of degenerated and rubberized asphalt membrane material.

Company-wide initiatives mandate understanding the benefits of adopting e-Business. A benefits evaluation may ensure that the company's Web site in integral, rather than supplemental, to its business and revenue goals. Our research is motivated by the goal of extracting anticipated benefits factors of e-Business in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SMEs) in Korea. And we examined the impacts of anticipated benefits factors on the extent of assimilation in SMEs. Eight benefits factors emerged from this study: productivity, competitiveness, management, customer relationship, information quality, interorganization, cost down, and marketing. And competitiveness, customer relationship, interorganization, and marketing were influenced assimilation of e-Business in SMEs. But productivity, management, information quality, cost down did not.

We have designed and fabricated a low-cost, V-band CPW receiver chip set using GaAs PHEMT technology for the application of millimeter-wave wireless communication systems. Low noise amplifiers and down-converters were developed for this chip set. The fabricated low noise amplifier showed an S$\sub$21/ gain of 14.9 ㏈ at 60 ㎓ and a noise figure of 4.1 ㏈ at 52 ㎓. The down-converter exhibited a high conversion gain of 2 ㏈ at the low LO Power of 0 ㏈m. This work demonstrates that the GaAs PHEMT technology is a viable low-cost solution for V-band applications.
