영상검지 카메라를 이용한 도로상의 차량흐름 계측방안 연구 (The Development of Camera Detection System for the Measurement Road Traffic Data)

  • To improve the road transportation safety, the road traffic data is monitored by applying an image detection system. The road traffic safety is analysed using image processing techniques. For more accurate measurement, the coordinate matching of real road data to image is one of the most essential parts of the image detection technique. The road image is skewed at the input screen, because the video camera is installed at the roadside. A fast and precise algorithm for the coordinate matching is developed to convert image coordinates into road coordinates.

  • Recently, the finite element absolute nodal coordinate formulation (ANCF) was developed for the large deformation analysis of flexible bodies in multi-body dynamics. This formulation is based on the finite element procedures and the general continuum mechanics theory to represent the elastic forces. In this paper, a computation method of dynamic stress in flexible multi-body dynamics using absolute nodal coordinate formulation is proposed. Numerical examples, based on an Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, are shown to verify the efficiency of the proposed method. This method can be applied for predicting the fatigue life of a mechanical system. Moreover, this study demonstrates that structural and multi-body dynamic models can be unified in one numerical system.

  • This paper describes an IP design and implementation of a complicated hardware to System on a Chip(SoC) to simplify the complicated system. As using SoC, hardware and software can be designed and verified both. This paper describes an image capturing IP and a perpendcular coordinate robot IP that can move on x, y coordinates. 240$\ast$320 TFT-LCD is used to display images.

  • This article explains the theory of multiple mode/physical coordinate synthesis method in order to analyze the dynamic characteristics for an huge marine engine. The theory leads to make a simulation code. The natural frequencies obtained from the simulation code is compared to those from a commercial analysis software, ANSYS. The simulation code is well reviewed.

  • In this paper, a method for camera position estimation in gaster using elechoendoscopic image sequence is proposed. In order to obtain proper image sequences, the gaster in divided into three sections. It is presented that camera position modeling for 3D information extraction and image distortion due to the endoscopic lenses is corrected.The feature points are represented with respect to the reference coordinate system belpw 10 percents error rate. The faster distortion correction algorithm is proposed in this paper. This algorithm uses error table which is faster than coordinate transform method using n-th order polynomials.

  • To develope the new simulator for the analysis of fluid flow information, the influence of various convective difference schemes were evaluated. General curvilinear coordinate system with nonorthogonal grids was adopted for the successful analysis of various complex geometries. Computation results show that if we can not obtain full grid numbers within available computational environment, we need to use higher order finite difference schemes to keep the prediction accuracy.

The Centering of the Invariant Feature for the Unfocused Input Character using a Spherical Domain System

  • TIn this paper, a centering method for an unfocused input character using the spherical domain system and the centering character to use the shift invariant feature for the recognition system is proposed. A system for recognition is implemented using the centroid method with coordinate average values, and the results of an above 78.14% average differential ratio for the character features were obtained. It is possible to extract the shift invariant feature using spherical transformation similar to the human eyeball. The proposed method, which is feature extraction using spherical coordinate transform and transformed extracted data, makes it possible to move the character to the center position of the input plane. Both digital and optical technologies are mixed using a spherical coordinate similar to the 3 dimensional human eyeball for the 2 dimensional plane format. In this paper, a centering character feature using the spherical domain is proposed for character recognition, and possibilities for the recognized possible character shape as well as calculating the differential ratio of the centered character using a centroid method are suggested.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the details of design procedure of a nonlinear regulator by Riemannian geometric approach and to applied it to the case of a double-effect evaporator. A nonlinear geometric model is proposed on a direct sum space of a state vector and a control vector as well as in the previous parers by the authors. The geometric model is derived by replacing the orthogonal straight coordinate axes of a linear system on the direct sum space with the curvilinear coordinate axes. The integral manifold of the geometric model becomes homeomorphic to that of fictitious linear system. For the geometric model a nonlinear regulator with a performance index is designed renewedly by the procedure of optimization. The construction method of the curvilinear coordinate axes on which the nonlinear system behaves as a linear system is discussed. To apply the above regulator theory to double-effect evaporators especially to the pilot plant at the University of Alberta, a suitable nonlinear model is determined by the plant dynamics. The optimal control law is derived through the calculation of the homeomorphism. As a result it is confirmed that the regulator is effective and superior to that of the conventional control.

  • 기계시스템을 제어한다든지 그 부재를 설계하기 위하여 그리고 구동기의 용량을 결정하는데 있어서 구동력이나 조인트반력을 해석하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문은 주어진 시스템의 운동을 구현하는 다양한 형태의 구동조건에 따른 구동력(또는 토크)을 조인트좌표 공간에서 계산하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 조인트좌표를 기구학적 시스템의 일반좌표로 사용하며 운동방정식과 구속조건의 가속도식은 속도변환법을 이용하여 직교좌표공간으로부터 조인트좌표공간으로 변환한다. 수치예제를 통하여 제시된 알고리즘의 유용성을 확인한다.

  • A process of 3-D stereo particle image velocimetry(PIV)was developed for the measurement of an illuminated sliced section field of 3-D complex flows. The present method includes modeling of camera by a calibrator based on the homogeneous coordinate system, transformation of the oblique-angled image to the right-angled image, identification of 2-D velocity vectors by 2-D cross-correlation equation, stereo matching of 2-D velocity vectors of two cameras, accurate calculation of 3-D velocity vectors by homogeneous coordinate system, removal of error vectors by a statistical method followed by a continuity equation criteria, and finally 3-D display as the post processing. An experimental system was also used for the application of the proposed method. Two high speed digital CCD cameras and an Argon-Ion Laser for the illumination were adopted to clarify the time-dependent characteristics of the leading edge extension(LEX) in a highly swept shape applied to a delta wing found in modern air-fighters.
