  • This paper presents stochastic methodology based fault detection algorithm for induction motor systems. We measure current of healthy induction motors by means of hall sensor systems and then establish its probability distribution. We propose online probability density estimation which is effective in real-time implementation due to its simplicity and low computational burden. In addition, we accomplish theoretical analysis of the proposed estimation to demonstrate its convergence property by using statistical convergence and system stability theories. We apply our fault detection approach to three-phase induction motors and achieve real-time experiment for evaluating its reliability and practicability in industrial fields.

  • In this paper, asymptotic results are investigated when a parametric transformation is applied to ARMA models. The conditions are determined to ensure the strong consistency and the asymptotic normality of maximum likelihood estimators and the correct coverage probability of the forecast interval obtained by the transformation and backtransformation approach.

  • In this paper, we propose an analysis model for the performance of channel error probability in Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) using Markov model. In this model it is assumed that the compressor and decompressor work in Unidirectional Mode. And the average throughput of SCTP protocol is obtained by finding the throughputs of when the initial channel state is good or bad.

  • In this paper, we will obtain Marcinkiewicz's type limit laws for fuzzy random sets as follows : Let {$X_n{\mid}n{\geq}1$} be a sequence of independent identically distributed fuzzy random sets and $E{\parallel}X_i{\parallel}^r_{{\rho_p}}$ < ${\infty}$ with $1{\leq}r{\leq}2$. Then the following are equivalent: $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ a.s. in the metric ${\rho}_p$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in probability in the metric ${\rho}_p$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in $L_1$ if and only if $S_n/n^{\frac{1}{r}}{\rightarrow}{\tilde{0}}$ in $L_r$ where $S_n={\Sigma}^n_{i=1}\;X_i$.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that determine whether college graduates majoring in culinary arts are employed. To achieve this purpose, this study largely divided the factors affecting the status of employment into the personal background, college life, and employment preparation activities factors. And, the data of 164 graduates who graduated from culinary arts-related departments participating in the Graduate Occupational Mobility Survey (GOMS) were used. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, it was found that the health status and experience of job-seeking activities of college graduates majoring in culinary arts decreased the employment probability. On the other hand, major satisfaction and certification acquisition were found to increase the employment probability. Second, the health status and experience of job-seeking activities of graduates who participated in 2018GOMS were found to decrease the employment probability, and major satisfaction and grade were found to increase the employment probability. Third, it was found that only the health status of graduates who participated in 2019GOMS affected the status of employment. Therefore, in order to increase the employment rate of culinary arts majors at the end of COVID 19, universities need to make efforts to increase their satisfaction with their majors and their grades while attending college.

  • In this research, we study the outage probability for distributed space-time coding-based cooperative (DSTC) systems with amplify-and-forward relaying over Rayleigh fading channels with a high temporal correlation where the direct link between the source and the destination is available. In particular, we derive the upper and lower bounds of the outage probability as well as their corresponding asymptotic expressions. In addition, using only the average channel powers for the source-to-relay and relay-to-destination links, we propose an efficient power allocation scheme between the source and the relay to minimize the asymptotic upper bound of the outage probability. Through a numerical investigation, we verify the analytical expressions as well as the effectiveness of the proposed efficient power allocation. The numerical results show that the lower and upper bounds tightly correspond to the exact outage probability, and the proposed efficient power allocation scheme provides an outage probability similar to that of the optimal power allocation scheme that minimizes the exact outage probability.

  • Resource allocation in device-to-device (D2D) aided cellular systems, in which the proximity users are allowed to communicate directly with each other without relying on the intervention of base stations (BSs), is investigated in this paper. A new uplink resource allocation policy is proposed by exploiting the relationship between D2D-access probability and channel gain among variant devices, such as cellular user equipments (CUEs), D2D user equipments (DUEs) and BSs, etc., under the constraints of their minimum signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) requirements. Furthermore, the proposed resource-allocation problem can be formulated as the cost function of "maximizing the number of simultaneously activated D2D pairs subject to the SINR constraints at both CUEs and DUEs". Numerical results relying on system-level simulations show that the proposed scheme is capable of substantially improving both the D2D-access probability and the network throughput without sacrificing the performance of conventional CUEs.
