This study empirically analyzed the relationship between founder competency and business performance based on the premise that founder competency is the main internal resource of a company from a resource-based view, using a sample of 2,196 startups less than five years old collected and evaluated by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation during the 2016 technology evaluation. The results showed that the technological, managerial, and financial competence of founders had a positive effect on the business performance of startups, and the characteristics of founders' academic major had a moderating effect on the relationship between founder competency and business performance. Based on these findings, this study contributes to the theoretical discussion that technological, managerial, and financial competencies of founders are factors that improve business performance, and provides practical and policy implications for effective entrepreneurship education by suggesting that entrepreneurship education should be transformed and strengthened, including cross-training of founders majoring in science and engineering to foster managerial and financial competencies.

The purpose of this paper is an analysis of the difference between convergence majors and single majors in the convergence core competency and educational performance. We used survey data for the analysis of the convergence core competencies, the results of the midterm and final exams for the education performance. Analysis targets are 10 students in big data business intelligence at Seokyeong University as convergence majors and 11 students in business administration as single majors. The target course was an analysis of economic data provided in the second semester of 2019. And the lecture contents were analysis of big data using R programming. The survey was conducted on December 5, 2019. The convergence core competences were creative thinking, critical thinking, understanding convergence knowledge, problem solving ability, communication skills, cooperation ability, use of convergence tools, consideration, and responsibility. As results of homogeneity tests, we found that there was no significant difference in all competencies, but there were very significant differences in the educational performance evaluated by the midterm and final exams. Therefore we can see willingness to convergence of single majors was no different from that of convergence majors, but had not led to practice. It is desirable to activate and support convergence courses.

In this study, we approached from the perspective of AI convergence education in elementary, middle and high schools to understand AI convergence education. We examined what capabilities AI convergence education ultimately seeks to pursue, and analyzed various examples of AI convergence education in three dimensions: core curriculum, convergence model, AI learning elements and learning activities. In addition, factors to be considered in order for AI convergence education to be actively carried out include the cultivation of AI convergence education capabilities of teachers, the development and dissemination of AI teaching and learning methods and teaching and learning models, and evaluation methods for AI convergence education.

In Korea's national competency standards, competency is defined as a concept that includes the common skills required to be a member of an organization, the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to perform the task, in addition to the skills necessary to perform the task in the field. This study examines the recently published NCS-related paper, and summarizes the key findings in the areas of the design and operation of NCS-based curriculum, key factors that should be included in the design of each individual NCS-based curriculum, positive effects and negative effects of NCS-based education and training processes. Based on these findings and educational implications, the feasibility of expanding the NCS-based curriculum in junior colleges is discussed. In addition, the roles of Human Resources Development Service of Korea and NCS web site are discussed and some suggestions concerning their roles are provided.

This research aimed to verify whether family competency reinforcement had a mediating role on the effect of family cohesion of the Down syndrome family upon the independent life of children with Down syndrome. For the research, 146 families belonged to Down Syndrome Parent Assembly were surveyed and the statistical program SPSS WIN 25.0 was utilized for the data analysis. To verify the mediating effect, Baron and Kenny's causal step strategy was performed. As a result of the study, the higher the family cohesion of the Down syndrome family was, the greater the level of independence of the child was, indicating that the family cohesion had a significant static effect on the independence life. In addition, it was confirmed that the family competency reinforcement played a mediating role between the family cohesion and the children's independent living. Therefore, the results of this research suggested that it might be used as a policy approach and supporting plan for the realization of support for independence of Down syndrome children.

The competition for standardization in the enterprise environment starts with the data tier of the back-end and the standard enterprise middle tier is being stabilized by standardization as it is accepted as the Spring Framework. In addition, with the advent of new devices in an increasingly rapid cycle, securing compatibility with web and mobile services has become an important competitive advantage for web service companies. However, companies are unable to secure competent technical personnel appropriate for the rapidly changing environment of the information generation, and the curriculum of educational universities does not reflect the demand of new competency-oriented curriculum. Therefore, in this study, in order to acquire competency-oriented skills required for such an enterprise system platform environment and to develop a curriculum, the system using Spring Data JPA in the Spring Framework environment was implemented through documenting for each analysis and design step. It aims to provide a reference model for the full stack competency-based curriculum and capstone design curriculum that can be applied immediately in the enterprise environment.

The purpose of this study is to confirm the effect of simulation practice education applied to nursing students on communication competency, critical thinking tendencies, and professionalism. This study is a one-group pre-post test design-like experimental design study, and 89 fourth graders of the Department of Nursing at one university were targeted. Data collection was from September to December 2019. The collected data were analyzed through frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, and Pearson correlation using the SPSS 20.1 program. As a result of the study, the subject's communication competency after simulation practice training (t=3.41, p<.001), critical thinking tendency (t=2.75, p<.007), professionalism was found to have increased statistically significantly (t=2.56, p<.012). After simulation practice, it was found that communication competency, critical thinking tendencies, and professionalism each had a positive correlation.

This study viewed foreign students as a publics that requires active communication, and analyzed the causal relationship between the antecedent variables (professor competency service, university administrative service) and outcome variables (adaptation to university life) of the university-foreign student relationships. As a result, both the professor competency service and the university administrative service were found to have a positive effect on the university-foreign student relationships. Also, the university-foreign student relationships was found to have a positive effect on adaptation to university life. Based on these results, we discussed the need to set the university-foreign student relationship as a major performance indicator and use it as basic data for developing active communication strategies and messages.

As smart devices and communication technologies have developed rapidly, the healthcare industry in the globe is seeing remarkable issues on medical security. At the same time, personal medical records are being shared in the network, which would raise the risk of information security. This thesis aims to develop the curriculum to raise the awareness of information security among workers in medical institutions by referring to NCS(National Competency Standards) International standards, medical institutions' requirements and educational institutions' curriculums on information security based on proven results from medical devices and systems introduced in the public health centers, territorial branches, community health posts and primary, secondary, tertiary hospitals. Thus, this thesis offers the method to improve information security in healthcare institutions through validation testing conducted by medical practitioners and ICT experts.
