The Ministry of Environment supports environmental education mainly in two ways ; one is by supporting schools engaged in environment conservation model school and the other is by extending grants for experiential environmental education programs. This research aims to evaluate the current status of grant for experiential environmental education programs while proposing possible improvement for constructive and continuing development of the support measures. Grant for experiential environmental education programs is divided into two areas of grant for schools and grant for community-based civil organizations. The diagnosis and evaluation were conducted in terms of 7 areas, such as time, facilities, programs, manpower (professional expertise), operation, administrative and financial support mechanism and others. Research process involved the review of previous studies in 2001 and 2003, comparison of the grant program with other grants in and out of Korea for environment education, and the following areas considered when identifying improvement options: i) Overall review of objectives and operations, ii) expansion supports programs oriented problem solving as well as those focused ecological sensitivity, iii) change from expendable, one-time program to productive, continuous program, iv) link to social changes and issues, v) principles for operation and evaluation, vi) criteria and methods for program selection and evaluation, and vii) improving operation system. Based on review and the overall evaluation on the experiential environmental education program grant, the recommendation for improving operation system were provided, which included stages of passive improvement, active improvement and building infrastructure for environment education, and building capacity of the members related in the initiatives.
The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of STEAM program on the scientific communication skills and the learning flow of elementary gifted students. The main findings of this study are as follows: First, STEAM program that mathematical, technical, engineering and art factors were combined based on basic concepts of science were developed. Seconds, the change in the scientific communication skills of experimental group applying STEAM program had statistically meaningful difference (p<.05). Third, the flow of experimental class improved, but it had no meaningful difference statistically (p>.05). But it is expected that continuing level adjusted STEAM program might have positive effect on improving the flow with the following three reasons: 1) The gifted students' flow level on learning before experiment was rather too high to expect short term effect. 2) It was hard for them to achieve flow experience because topic difficulties and students' capacities were not balanced. 3) topic commitments and autotelic behaviors of gifted students were observed during classes. Fourth, by the result of the student satisfaction questionnaire survey on this program, students actively participated in the STEAM program with interest and curiosity. As achieved self-directed problem solving, versatile communication activities and success experiences, their class satisfaction was high. Based on such results, it was expected that the gifted class applied of STEAM program could enhance scientific communication capacity of the elementary gifted students and would further positively influence flow of learning as well. In addition, it was considered to have integrated approach value to elementary gifted and talented education in the aspect that it could satisfy various educational demands of gifted students.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a tailored simulation learning (SL) program and to evaluate the effects of the program on the clinical competency, clinical decision-making competency, and communicative competency of new nursing staffs in intensive care units (ICU) and emergency rooms (ER). Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, fifteen nurses were assigned to the experimental group and fifteen to the control group. The experimental group was given the SL program of four sessions, whereas the lectures of four sessions were given to the control group. Data were analyzed using a $x^2$-test, Mann-Whitney U test, and Kruskal-Wallis test with an SPSS program. Analysis of covariance was used to treat the covariate of pre communicative competency between the experimental and control groups. Results: Based on the education needs of new nursing staffs in ICUs and ERs, three learning scenarios and one evaluating scenario were developed for the SL program. The score for clinical competency, clinical decision-making competency, and communicative competency were significantly higher in the experimental group compared with the control group. Conclusion: The SL program is an effective learning strategy for new nursing staffs in ICUs and ERs. These findings suggest that an SL program be offered as an alternative for new nurse orientation and continuing nurse education.

Purpose : The objective of this study was to provide information about the need and perception of continuing education(CE) according to gender in physical therapists. This study also aimed to provide basic data for the improvement of quality of the CE program with physical therapists. Methods : The study analyzed basic data from Korea Physical Therapy Association regarding the 350 physical therapists in Gwangju metropolitan city (Male; 102, female; 248). The questionnaire consisted of 3 categories: general characteristics, need of CE, and perception. For need of CE and perception, it assessed using a 5-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using frequency analysis, and simple regression analysis using dummy variable. Results : The need of CE showed a weak positive correlation in the only the pediatric physical therapy according to gender in physical therapists (R2=.012) (p<.05). Both male and female physical therapists had the highest need in the musculoskeletal system, followed by nervous system. The perception of CE were not significantly correlated according to gender in physical therapists (p>.05). Both male and female physical therapists were high on the cyber-CE (Q4) and on the need for CE (Q1, Q2, Q3). Whereas, a lower score was found in category that CE helped in the performance of the work (Q6, Q7, Q8). Conclusion : In this study, there was little or no significant correlation between need and perception of CE according to gender in physical therapists. Both male and female physical therapists recognize the need for CE, whereas they are less satisfied the efforts of CE in the performance of the work. Therefore, improvement of CE through various programs should be made to enhance the perception of CE.

As getting in 4th Industrial Revolution Times, Continuing Education Enrolled Students(CEES) trying to find loophole for jepordized current life and need job transfer have surged their interest significantly on starting new business to bring up their post career after retirement through self-improvement. Government and university have actively initiated diverse policies of promoting startup for CEES in kicking off entrepreneurship courses and programs. However, relevant main policy, 'The 2nd University Startup Education Five-Year Plan (draft)' have too chiefly focused on theoretical start-up education rather than practical courses, causing the problem of inappropriate support for implementing real startup and business (Ministry of Education, 2018). This study is brought to empirically investigate the effect of self-efficacy as perspective of the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial intention and behavior to come up with problem of poor entrepreneurial environment and entrepreneurship education to CEES. As to empirical research, this paper deliver on-line survey to CEES from September to October 2022, collect 207 effective feedbacks, In order to verify the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient (Cronbach's α) was calculated, analyzed, and measured. For hypothesis test, this paper utilize the multiple regression analysis statistical analysis method and use the SPSS 22.0 statistical processing program. Empirical results show, first, it was found that self-efficacy had a significant effect on start-up education. Second, start-up education had a significant effect on the intention to start a business of adult learners. Third, start-up education had a significant effect on the start-up behavior of adult learners. Fourth, self-efficacy had a significant effect on the intention of adult learners to start a business. Fifth, self-efficacy had a significant effect on the start-up behavior of adult learners. Sixth, self-efficacy had a mediating effect in the relationship between entrepreneurship education and adult learners' intention to start a business. Seventh, self-efficacy had a complete mediating effect in the relationship between start-up education and adult learners' start-up behavior. This paper is brought three significant implications. First, main consideration developing entrepreneurship education tools for CEES need to falls on defining potential needs of CEES as segmenting as to coming up with diversity of CEES's characteristics such as gender, age, experience, education, and occupation. Second, as to design specific entrepreneurship education program, both practical training program of utilizing CEES's career field experience benchmarking best practice startup and venture cases from domestic and global, and professional startup program of CEES initiating directly startup from ideation to develop business plan with pitching and discussing. Third, entrepreneurship education for CEES should be designed to incubate self-efficacy to enhance entrepreneurial intention of implementing entrepreneurial behavior as a real, eventually leading solid support system of self-improvement for CEES' Retirement life planning.
Purpose: This study was done to evaluate the formal education program provided by the Korean government for care workers for frail elderly people. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey in which 438 certified care workers who had completed the education program participated. Data were collected from June to October 2009, using a self-report questionnaire consisting of satisfaction with, and understanding of the education program. Results: The participants had a mean age of 46.7 yr, 87.9% were female and 58.2% were high school graduates. For the theory part of the education, the highest score for understanding was for 'supporting household & activities of daily living' while the lowest score for understanding was for 'care for death and dying'. For the practical education, the highest score for understanding was for 'talking with the client' and the lowest score was for 'first aid & basic life support'. There was a significant difference in satisfaction and understanding of the theoretical and practical parts according to educational level. Conclusion: Continuing education programs are needed for care workers for elders, both in the theoretical and practical areas. Purpose : The stress of job-seeking college students is gradually worsening due to the continuing recession in the job market. Therefore, this study aims to verify whether intervention with an 'aromatherapy education program,' which combines theory and practice, has greater effect on stress, self-efficacy, and autonomic nervous system function than simple inhalation of essential oils in female college students preparing for employment. Methods : A single-blind, randomized controlled trial was conducted once a week for a total of 4 weeks with 29 female college students preparing for employment. Interventions included essential oil inhalation combined with an aromatherapy education program (experimental group(EG), n=14) and essential oil inhalation alone (control group(CG), n=15); measurements were taken before, immediately after, and 2 weeks after completion of the intervention. Evaluations were conducted using the job-seeking stress scale, stress VAS, self-efficacy scale, and a pulse-wave measuring instrument. Results : There were significant differences between the CG and EG groups with repeated measurements of job-seeking stress (p=.003), cognitive stress (p<.001), and self-efficacy (p<.001). There was a significant interaction between group and time. There were also significant differences between the CG and EG in terms of autonomic nervous system changes stress index(p=.047), total power(p=.029), high frequency(p=.036), and low frequency/high frequency ratio(p=.049). However, there was no significant difference in low frequency between the groups. Conclusion : The aromatherapy education program was more effective in improving job-seeking stress, cognitive stress, self-efficacy, and autonomic nervous system function than simple essential oil inhalation. For the aromatherapy education program to be useful as a complementary intervention for stress management in job seekers, it will be necessary to gather additional evidence of its efficacy by conducting follow-up studies with diverse participants and expanding the numbers, and durations, of the interventions.
The results of a discussion among parties involved in the Industrial Educational Cooperation Program are as follows: 1. Ensure that students in the Continuing Education System have certain work experience as a prerequisite for admission. 2. Studies and evaluation methods should be diversified in order to give students better selection of lectures and credits. 3. Re-education system should be established, and a degree conferred through development of human resources and study terms. 4. Educate students by cooperating between the union of industries and that of the colleges. 5. Students are satisfied about the intensive study by $\ulcorner$2+2$\lrcorner$ joint education which connects junior college and university. 6. Put into practice creative technical education for technological development by learning their classroom studying just as actual practice in the industrial field. I offer strategies for settlement of the Industrial Trust Education mentioned above, and urge the Ministry of Education to comply.
