자영 컨테이너 장치장의 평가를 위한 시뮬레이션 모델의 개발 (Development of a Simulation Model for the Evaluation of the Off-Dock Container Yard)

  • The Off-Dock Container Yard (ODCY)s in Pusan are located at 48 different places, and it causes serious problems in the container cargo transport and inland traffic near Pusan district. Hence, the analysis and evaluation of ODCY operation is important. Therefore, this paper proposes a simulation model which evaluates the operation of ODCY. It also proposes a simulation model using an object-oriented approach which includes the system is modeled with object-class hierarchy and SIMPLE++, an object-oriented simulation software, is used to develop the model.

SARIMA 모형을 이용한 우리나라 항만 컨테이너 물동량 예측 (Forecasting the Korea's Port Container Volumes With SARIMA Model)

  • 본 연구는 SARIMA 모형을 활용하여 기존에 다루어지지 않았던 분기별 항만 컨테이너 물동량을 예측하였다. 구체적으로 모델 추정에 활용된 자료는 1994년 1사분기부터 2010년 4사분기까지 총 84분기동안의 국내 전체 항만 컨테이너 물동량 자료이다. 본 연구에서 추정된 예측 모형의 예측 정확도를 검증하기 위하여 2011년 1사분기부터 2013년 4사분기까지 물동량을 예측하여 실제 물동량과 비교하였다. 또한 기존에 널리 활용되고 있는 ARIMA 모형을 활용하여 추정한 예측 모형과의 비교를 통해 분기별 항만 물동량 예측에 있어서 SARIMA 모형의 상대적 우수성을 검증하였다. 기존에 항만 물동량을 예측하는 대부분의 연구는 주로 장기 예측에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 또한 월별, 연도별 물동량 자료가 활용된 경우가 대부분이다. 분기별 항만 컨테이너 물동량 자료를 활용하여 단기 수요를 예측함과 동시에 SARIMA 모형의 우수성을 입증한 본 연구는 충분한 가치가 있다고 판단된다.

다수의 화물컨테이너를 고려한 동적 생산-수송 모형에 관한 연구 (A Dynamic Production and Transportation Model with Multiple Freight Container Types)

  • This paper considers the single-product production and transportation problem with discrete time, dynamic demand and finite time horizon, an extension of classical dynamic lot-sizing model. In the model, multiple freight container types are allowed as the transportation mode and each order (product) placed in a period is shipped immediately by containers in the period. Moreover, each container has type-dependent carrying capacity restriction and at most one container type is allowed in each shipping period. The unit freight cost for each container type depends on the size of its carrying capacity. The total freight cost is proportional to the number of each container type employed. Such a freight cost is considered as another set-up cost. Also, it is assumed in the model that production and inventory cost functions are dynamically concave and backlogging is not allowed. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal production policy and the optimal transportation policy simultaneously that minimizes the total system cost (including production cost, inventory holding cost, and freight cost) to satisfy dynamic demands over a finite time horizon. In the analysis, the optimal solution properties are characterized, based on which a dynamic programming algorithm is derived. The solution algorithm is then illustrated with a numerical example.

The measured contribution of whipping and springing on the fatigue and extreme loading of container vessels

  • Whipping/springing research started in the 50'ies. In the 60'ies inland water vessels design rules became stricter due to whipping/springing. The research during the 70-90'ies may be regarded as academic. In 2000 a large ore carrier was strengthened due to severe cracking from North Atlantic operation, and whipping/springing contributed to half of the fatigue damage. Measurement campaigns on blunt and slender vessels were initiated. A few blunt ships were designed to account for whipping/springing. Based on the measurements, the focus shifted from fatigue to extreme loading. In 2005 model tests of a 4,400 TEU container vessel included extreme whipping scenarios. In 2007 the 4400 TEU vessel MSC Napoli broke in two under similar conditions. In 2009 model tests of an 8,600 TEU container vessel container vessel included extreme whipping scenarios. In 2013 the 8,100 TEU vessel MOL COMFORT broke in two under similar conditions. Several classification societies have published voluntary guidelines, which have been used to include whipping/springing in the design of several container vessels. This paper covers results from model tests and full scale measurements used as background for the DNV Legacy guideline. Uncertainties are discussed and recommendations are given in order to obtain useful data. Whipping/springing is no longer academic.

  • This paper studies the competitiveness and complementary among the major container ports in East Asia by analyzing their extensive and intensive dynamics in recent 8 years (2008-2015). Time series data on container throughput dividing into O-D and transshipment for the ports of Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Busan, Ningbo-Zhoushan, and Shenzhen are calculated based on VAR and VECM model.

  • We developing for Gate-Container Yard model to execute the Input & Output process of containers which are waiting in container yard effectively and fast. The optimal model is developed to manage and trace the containers in yard. We developed the put-away strategies which considered the storage time for volume of transportation and the distance between blocks and gates using the MICRO-CRAFT (Computerized Relative Allocation Facilities Technique).

  • 컨테이너 터미널의 핵심 기능은 컨테이너 화물을 선반에 싣고 내기는 것이다. 이러한 기능에 대한 생산성을 향상시키기 위해서는 보유한 자원을 효과적으로 사용해야 하는데, 본 연구는 RMGC (rail mounted gantry crane) 유형 야드 크레인의 배치 방안에 대해서 논한다. 먼저, 컨테이너 터미널의 장치계획을 고려한 야드 크레인 배치 문제에 대한 수리모형을 개발한다. 수리 모형은 한 기간 내에서 블록간 야드 크레인의 이동 허용여부에 따라서 2가지로 나누어진다. 제시한 모형을 검증하기 위하여 수치 예제를 풀어서 결과를 분석한다. 또한 장치계획만을 다루는 기존 모형과의 성능 차이를 분석하기 위한 비교 실험을 수행한다.

  • 최근 본선작업의 대기시간을 단축할 수 있는 효율적인 이송장비로 ALV(Automated Lifting Vehicle)가 연구되고 있다. 그러나 ALV와 다른 하역장비의 연계에 대한 구체적인 분석을 수행한 후 동적 요소들을 반영한 연구는 미흡하다. ALV의 수행도는 동적 환경하의 자가하역 작업, 차량간 방해, 가용한 작업 공간의 점유에 크게 좌우된다. 그러므로 ALV 시스템이 도입된 컨테이너 터미널의 생산성을 평가하는 것은 매우 어렵다. 따라서ALV시스템에 적합한 운영 규칙을 갖춘 시뮬레이션 모형으로 개발되어야 한다. 또한 모형은 연계작업과 차량 주행의 특성을 고려해야 한다. 본 연구는 수평형 컨테이너 터미널을 가정하고 하역작업 과정을 분석하고 시뮬레이션 모형에 필요한 주요 운영 규칙을 제시하였다. 그리고 객체지향 시뮬레이션 소프트웨어인 Anylogic을 이용하여 ALV 시스템에 기반한 컨테이너 터미널 시뮬레이션 모형을 개발하였다.

공 컨테이너를 고려한 컨테이너 내륙수송에서의 차량배차문제 (A Truck Dispatching Problem in the Inland Container Transportation with Empty Container)

  • In the container transportation of inland depots the empty container is an important issue. The truck dispatching problem in this paper is considered under restriction about empty containers. When a full container arrives in a depot by truck, after unloading operation the full container is changed to an empty container. After loading operation an empty container is changed to a full container. We suggest an integrated approach to the problem of simultaneously managing empty truck and container movements. We would like to find the truck dispatching method minimizing empty truck movements and empty container movements. In this paper, a mixed integer programming model is developed to obtain the optimal truck dispatching in container transportation and heuristic is developed to give a good solution in much shorter time. The numerical examples are studied and the proposed heuristic is also compared with the result of numerical examples.

초대형 컨테이너선의 경하중량 추정을 위한 통계적 방법 연구 (A Study on Statistical Methods for the Light Weight Estimation of Ultra Large Container Ships)

  • The present study developed a model to estimate the light weight of an ultra-large container ship. The weight estimation model utilized container ship data obtained from shipyards and the subdivided this weight data into appropriate weight groups. Parameters potentially affecting the group weight were selected and expanded based on experience for weight estimation, and a correlation analysis was performed by the SPSS program to determine the key parameters characterizing the group weight. A weight estimation model applying the multi-regression analysis was proposed to assess the weight of an ultra-large container ship at the preliminary design stage, and the results obtained by the suggested method showed good agreement with the shipyard data.
