We establish coincidence point theorem for g-nondecreasing mappings satisfying generalized nonlinear contraction on partially ordered metric spaces. We also obtain the coupled coincidence point theorem for generalized compatible pair of mappings F, G : X² → X by using obtained coincidence point results. Furthermore, an example is also given to demonstrate the degree of validity of our hypothesis. Our results generalize, modify, improve and sharpen several well-known results.

We establish a coupled coincidence point theorem for generalized com-patible pair of mappings under generalized nonlinear contraction on a partially or-dered metric space. We also deduce certain coupled fixed point results without mixed monotone property of F : X × X → X . An example supporting to our result has also been cited. As an application the solution of integral equations are obtained here to illustrate the usability of the obtained results. We improve, extend and generalize several known results.

In this paper, we study a manufacturing system of serial stages with general service times, in which the production of each stage and the coordination of stages are controlled by Kanban discipline. This Kanban discipline is modeled as a Discrete Event Dynamic System and a system of recursive equations is applied to study the dynamics of the system. The recursive relationship enables us to compare this Kanban discipline with the other blocking disciplines such as transfer blocking, service blocking, block-and-hold b, and block-and-hold K, and the Kanban is shown to be superior to the other disciplines in terms of makespan and throughput. As a special case, two stages Kanban system is modeled as $C_2/C_2/1/N$ queueing system, and a recursive algorithm is developed to calculate the system performance. In optimizing the system performance, the stochastic optimization approach of Robbins-Monro is employed via perturbation analysis, the way to estimate the stochastic partial derivative based on only one sample trajectory of the system, and the required commuting condition is verified. Then the stochastic convexity result is established to provide second-order optimality condition for this parametric optimization problem.

The m-isometry of a single operator in Agler and Stankus [3] was naturally generalized to the m-isometric tuple of several commuting operators by Gleason and Richter [22]. Some examples of m-isometric tuples including the recently much studied Arveson-Drury d-shift were given in [22]. We provide more examples of m-isometric tuples of operators by using sums of operators or products of operators or functions of operators. A class of m-isometric tuples of unilateral weighted shifts parametrized by polynomials are also constructed. The examples in Gleason and Richter [22] are then obtained by choosing some specific polynomials. This work extends partially results obtained in several recent papers on the m-isometry of a single operator.

The Purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the elderly Koreans of residential relocation and to find their conditioning variables that mediate some of the negative effects of residential relocation. The research was performed by questionnares. Subject samples consisted of 448 elderly individuals who have lived for two years or less in one of the two new residential communities in commuting proximity with Seoul: Ilsan or Bundang. Two variables measured for the life of the elderly to residential relocation were the change of the social relationship network and the change of the depression level. Results indicated that the relocation had a substantial disrupting effect on the social network of the elderly. The level of depression of the subjects after relocation was decresed. It was also found that the effects of the elderly to residential relocation was mainly affected by physical factors of environment and residential satisfaction.

If $[f(x_1,{\cdots},\;x_n),\;x_{n+1}]x_{n+2}$ is not an identity for I and $$S_4(I,\;I,\;I,\;I)\;I\;\neq\;0$$, then aI = ad(I) = 0.

Let H be a separable complex Hilbert space. A commuting tuple $T=(T_1,{\cdots},T_n)$ of bounded linear operators on H is called a spherical isometry if $\sum_{i=1}^{n}T^*_iT_i=I$. The tuple T is called a toral isometry if each $T_i$ is an isometry. In this paper, we show that for each $n{\geq}1$ there is a supercyclic n-tuple of spherical isometries on $\mathbb{C}^n$ and there is no spherical or toral isometric tuple of operators on an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space.

Let $G{\leq}S_n$ and ${\chi}$ be any nonzero complex valued function on G. We first study the irreducibility of the generalized matrix polynomial $d^G_{\chi}(X)$, where $X=(x_{ij})$ is an n-by-n matrix whose entries are $n^2$ commuting independent indeterminates over $\mathbb{C}$. In particular, we show that if $\mathcal{X}$ is an irreducible character of G, then $d^G_{\chi}(X)$ is an irreducible polynomial, where either $G=S_n$ or $G=A_n$ and $n{\neq}2$. We then give a necessary and sufficient condition for the equality of two generalized matrix functions on the set of the so-called ${\chi}$-singular (${\chi}$-nonsingular) matrices.

This study is to clarify the actual conditions of small elementary school facilities in depopulation areas. The aim of this thesis is to present the directions for Reorganization of small school facilities. Research area was kumi and uiseong, the number of students decreased rapidly. And small elementary school facilities were surveyed. The results are as the follows; 1)After consider living zone, commuting distance, opinions of residents, it is advisable that the small size school(the number of students under 60) will be combined stronghold school. 2)In the case of relocation, first of all, should consider the characteristic of living zone, exchanging training programs between elementary schools. 3)The closed school facilities will be used consistently as public facilities with priority consideration of environmental characteristic and users' demand.

Suppose that $\mathcal{G}$ is a nonzero generalized skew derivation of $\mathcal{R}$, ${\alpha}$ is the associated automorphism of $\mathcal{G}$, f($x_1$, ${\cdots}$, $x_n$) is a non-central multilinear polynomial over $\mathcal{C}$ with n non-commuting variables and $$\mathcal{S}=\{f(r_1,{\cdots},r_n)\left|r_1,{\cdots},r_n{\in}\mathcal{R}\}$$. If $\mathcal{G}$ acts as a Jordan homomorphism on $\mathcal{S}$, then either $\mathcal{G}(x)=x$ for all $x{\in}\mathcal{R}$, or $\mathcal{G}={\alpha}$.
