The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of separation color coordination of contemporary female fashion through the analysis of 'pre-a-porter Collections' of four collections (i. e. cities) - Paris, Milan, New York, London - from the periods of 2004 S/S to 2008/9 A/W. The data collection of 265 was done by reviewing 'pre-a-porter Collections' magazine and total 265 observations were made. Statistical analysis of frequency and also qualitative interpretation of separation color coordination characteristics were completed. The main findings were; (1) In separation color coordination of contemporary women's fashion collections, there were three main types of color scheme which were classified into seven detailed categories of color combination. First was the achromatic color & one chromatic separation color scheme which was classified into four categories of - black & white, black & grey, white & grey, and grey & grey - color combination. Second was the chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color scheme which classified into two categories of achromatic & chromatic color & one achromatic separation color combination, and chromatic colors & one achromatic separation color combination. Third was chromatic colors and one chromatic separation color combination. (2) The achromatic colors and one chromatic separation color scheme showed two phases of reinforcing the strong and modern image, or softening the hard and dull image of achromatic color combination. In color schemes which used more than two chromatic colors, the separation color frequently converted the tedious and monotonous fashion image, which caused by identical or similarity in color or tone harmony, into more attractive and interesting. (3) In conclusion, through the various use and coordination of various color schemes, color harmony and separation colors, the separation color coordination in contemporary female fashion has been suggested the effective way of color combination which can lead the visual pleasure and the vitality along with the unity and the harmony. This characteristics can create various images and visual diversity for fashion. The types and the use of color scheme and separation color showed different trends in four collections.

In this research, 128 stimuli of same-color coloration of lipstick and clothing were evaluated to the degree of harmony in the coordination of makeup and clothing color depending on the combination of eyeshadow color, lipstick color, lipstick tone, clothing style, and clothing tone. As to the brown eyeshadow, vivid lipstick and vivid, dull clothing, dull lipstick and light, dull, dark clothing, dark lipstick and dull, dark clothing among the combinations of red lipstick and clothing, vivid lipstick and vivid, light, dark clothing, dull lipstick and light, dull, dark clothing, dark lipstick and dark, clothing among the combinations of orange lipstick and clothing were evaluated as harmonious coloration regardless of the clothing style. As to the violet eyeshadow, vivid lipstick and vivid clothing, dull lipstick and light, dark clothing, dark lipstick and dull, dark clothing among the combinations of red lipstick and clothing, vivid lipstick and vivid, dull clothing, dull lipstick and vivid, light, dull clothing, dark lipstick and vivid, dull, dark clothing among the purple lipstick and clothing were evaluated as harmonious coloration regardless of the clothing style. Thus, the degree of harmony cannot only be different according to the clothing style even in the same coloration, but also the same clothing style can be perceived to be different degree of harmony depending on how the color and tone of clothing and lipstick are coordinate.

색채계획 의사결정 지원 시스템은 감성에 맞는 색상들을 추천해 주거나 조화론 및 배색사전을 기계화하여 조화색을 추천하는 반자동 보조 시스템을 일컫는다. 본 논문은 조화색 추천 과정에 관한 것이며, 조화색 추천의 보편적 지식개입을 위하여 Ostwald 색채 조화론을 채택하였다. 채택된 조화이론의 적용 공간인 Ostwald의 색체계는 MPEG-7 HMMD 색공간과 일치한다는 가정아래, Ostwald의 동일 색상면과 호환이 가능한 가상의 HMMD 공간을 제작하였다. 두 색공간이 호환하기위한 선행 요구조건을 만족하기 위하여 가정을 세우고 가정에 맞는 가상의 색공간을 제안하였다. 또한 Ostwald의 동일 색상 평면이 갖는 양자화 문제를 극복하기 위하여 연속적인 동일 색상 평면을 구성하여 이용자에게 선택의 폭을 넓히고자 하였다. 제안한 가상의 HMMD 공간에서 Ostwald의 색채 조화론을 규칙기반화한 다양한 조화색을 추천할 수 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 도시경관의 이미지를 개선하기 위한 환경색채의 배색조화 방법을 제공하는 것이다. 연구 대상지역은 익산시 22개 아파트단지이며 이를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 자연색체계에 기초한 하드와 시빅의 배색모델을 준거의 틀로 사용하였다. 그리고 환경색채 지각과 색채미학에서 새롭게 제시된 다양한 이론들을 검토하였으며 환경 색채디자인에 적용될 수 있는 미학적 특성들을 제안하였다. 첫째, 색채조화 원리는 뉘앙스와 톤에 기초한다. 그러므로 뉘앙스와 관계된 명도와 채도의 조절이 배색에 중요하게 작용된다. 둘째, 색채지각에 있어 미적경험은 색채 속성들의 유사성과 차이성의 상호결합에 의한 효과로 정의되었다. 셋째, 색채조화이론은 더욱 통합적인 학제 간 연구를 통해 발전 될 수 있으며 이러한 경험적 자료는 환경색채디자인과 평가를 위한 기초적 정보가 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the emotional color of home office and the trendy color with special comparison of office and library colors, and to suggest the harmony of color combination of home office based on the emotional color of this analytical data. this study, the Color Syntax Program, digital tool for color analysis of images is used. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the main color of home office images shows three color classifications of YR-Y, Y-GY, R-YR, and with relatively high ratios of YR-Y in the color of home offices, and B-PB, GY-G in offices and libraries. Secondly, from the point of emotional aspect, the trendy color of the home office can be classified into four color image categories: 'natural', 'peaceful', 'mild', and 'noble'. Under those categories this paper proposes 10 color harmony scheme that can be applied to color of home office interior design.

Among 96 color combination stimuli, male students evaluated 47 set as harmonized, but female students evaluated 32 set, so proved that male's range of harmony more extensive than that of female. Specially red shirt and yellow red necktie in all tone was evaluated as harmonized coloration by both male and female students. Female evaluated as the best harmonious coloration that red shirt-yellow necktie in dark, blue shirt-yellow necktie in dark, purple shirt-red necktie in light, green shirt-blue necktie in dull, and male evaluated red shirt-yellow red necktie in light, blue shirt-yellow necktie in light, purple shirt-red necktie in light, green shirt-yellow necktie in dark. It is significant difference between female and male on red-green in vivid, and blue-purple in vivid, blue-blue in dull, blue-yellow in dark, and purple-purple in dull. And shirt color and necktie color, necktie color and tone, tone and perceiver' gender influenced on the harmony evaluation by interaction.

This research is regarding color-analyzing Italian children's furniture and display space, in which application method of furniture display is looked at by understanding relations of furniture and display space through theoretical consideration and by understanding each factor of composition. Moreover, it establishes a formality of scientific and systematic standard in the color scheme of furniture and display space through using NCS Color System and the related Color Harmony Theory of Ostwald and Faber Birren as analysis tools. In the process of analyzing the colors of furniture and display space, I aimed to comprehend color trend of Italian children's furniture display space by comparing and analyzing Italian children's furniture dealers. I was able to comprehend the color relationship between furniture and display space from the results of analysis of examples of children's furniture display space and analysis of color deviation. Therefore, with this research I suggest the primary data and application strategy from a systematic point of view through Color Harmony Theory in color scheme of children's furniture display space in contemporary Italy.

색이란 인간이 조형 활동을 처음 시작할 때부터 사용되어진 조형언어로서 인간이 눈으로 볼 수 있는 모든 현상 세계에 존재하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 장면 전환 검출에서 추출된 대표 프레임을 대상으로 한국의 전통색 조화를 식별한다. 전통색은 오정색과 오간색으로 분류하여 조화를 이루는지 판별하도록 한다. 빨강, 파랑, 노랑, 검정, 흰색을 오정색이라 부르고 분홍, 하늘색, 보라, 유황색, 초록을오 간색이라 하여 식별한다. 먼저, Canny 알고리즘을 이용하여 경계선을 추출한다. 그리고 경계선을 중심으로 색들을 레이블링 하고 클러스터링 한다. 마지막으로, 전통 색채 조화 식별 방법을 이용하여 전통색을 식별한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 연구는 실험을 통하여 우수성이 입증 되었다.

The main objective of this research was to understand the characteristics of contrast color coordination through the analysis of modern woman fashion color coordination as they appear in the 'Collections' from '04 SS to '09/'10 AW. Data collection of 122 was done through review of '$pr{\hat{e}}t$-$\grave{a}$-porter Collections' of four cities; Milan, London, New York, Paris. Statistical analysis of frequency and qualitative interpretation of contrast color coordination characteristics were completed. The main findings were as follows; (1) The combined color type of 'red+blue' and 'yellow+blue' were the most frequently appeared in the same ratio, and followed by 'green+violet', 'red+yellow', 'green+orange', and 'orange+violet'. The contrast tone showed the most, and followed by the similarity and identity, and the type of tone harmony used differently according to the type of contrasting color combination. (2) The general characteristics of contrasting color harmony were as follows,; Some contrasting colors looked harmonious when used light colors and the contrast between light and dull colors which made the hues even more harmonious. Also combinations of dull colors which work well with other dull colors or vivid colors. Light & vivid color or light & dark color, however, often showed too much contrast and using two contrasting vivid colors presented awkward and restless look. When used one vivid color and one dark color, a little easier to looked at, but still not particularly elegance or effectively harmonious. (3) The types of contrasting color harmony showed some differences between seasons. Contrasting color harmony showed more frequently in the S/S collections than in A/W collections.

In the modern 21st century society, the personal image is considered to be very important. As a result, the importance of presenting one's personal image through personal color in fashion and beauty related fields are increasing, and is the most realistic and practical field of color. When the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, that disharmony becomes the source of the lines and wrinkles that appear on one's face, resulting in shades. The boundary that is created when the color of the wardrobe and the skin color are in disharmony, it works negatively on one's image. When color arrangements are close or similar (in harmony) or are in complementary color arrangements or in strong contrasting state (contrasting harmony), it is generally believed to be beautifully harmonious. Personal color assessment is finding colors, through systematic and scientific methods, that improve the personal image by reaching harmony with skin colors that each and every individual are uniquely born with. In this study, one was able to learn the improved visual effects of the face image through creating harmony with the wardrobe and color shade make up and complementary colors that were selected based on personal colors. The base make up, through using the contrasting effects of the complementary colors which represents the supplementing, correcting, and complementing of the face image by contrasting with complementary colors, brings positive changes through correcting the base skin color. It is believed that this study finds its importance in that the improved image that is created by the overall harmony of the wardrobe and body can be used as valuable data in marketing and new product development efforts in the related industries.
