The citizen-initiative has been frequently mentioned in community building project which is being promoted by Seoul City. The citizen-initiative has become an important concept in the direction of community welfare efforts. However, this concept has not been defined clearly in social welfare. In this context, the purpose of this study is to find how the practitioners of the social welfare practice field recognize the concept of citizen-initiative. In this study, concept mapping method was used to generate 59 statements about the citizeninitiative in 10 social workers in Seoul. Multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis are used to do mapping and grouping the 59 statements. The results are as follows. A total of 6 categories were derived. The six categories are named "Inducement of Participation", "Practice", "Procedure", "Awareness and Interest extension", "Expression of Opinion", "Attitude and Emotion". "Practice" category was revealed as a core category in the concept of citizen-initiative. This study is meaningful as a first step to discuss "what is the citizen-initiative?" and to make consensus in social welfare academic area and practice field.
In this paper, a CLB-based CPLD low-power technology mapping algorithm is proposed. To perform low power technology mapping for CPLD, a given Boolean network have to be represented to DAG. The proposed algorithm are consist of three step. In the first step, TD(Transition Density) calculation have to be performed. In the second step, the feasible clusters are generated by considering the following conditions: the number of output, the number of input and the number of OR-terms for CLB(Common Logic Block) within a CPLD. The common node cluster merging method, the node separation method, and the node duplication method are used to produce the feasible clusters. In the final step, low power technology mapping based on the CLBs is packing the feasible clusters into the several proper CLBs. Therefore the proposed algorithm is proved an efficient algorithm for a low power CPLD technology mapping.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the reported good service experiences from the perspective of elderly residents of long-term care facilities. Methods: Of those residents who are 65 years old or older, 14 residents whose length of stay were one month or longer and scores of the K-Mini Mental State Examination were 15 or higher were interviewed. The interview data formed the basis for the empirical statements about the reported nature of patients' experiences as residents of long-term care facilities. These data were used in concept mapping. Results: Through multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis, 62 core statements, two dimensions, and six clusters of good service experiences were derived. The two dimensions were classified as 'care centered-participation centered services' and as 'physical-emotional services.' Six cluster themes emerged as good service experiences: 'safety of care and treatment', 'responsible and supportive staff', 'comfort of living environment', 'mental well-being', and 'respect and communication'. Conclusion: The result of the study provides information about what experiences are important to older adults with cognitive impairment. The concept map can be used to develop a patient experience index for the elderly residents of long-term care facilities.
Objective: This study aimed to reveal early childhood teachers' perceptions of teacher competency for ESD using concept mapping and demonstrating its importance. Methods: 16 early childhood teachers in charge of 3-5 year olds conducted statement writing, and then the importance of selected statements were rated by 160 early childhood teachers in charge of 3-5 year olds. Selected statements were analyzed through multidimensional scaling and hierarchical cluster analysis. Results: Early childhood teachers perceived teacher competency for ESD in early childhood as concept mapping with two-dimensions and six clusters. The following six clusters were established (1) ethics for sustainable development, (2) willingness to participate in ESD, (3) development and operation of a sustainable development curriculum, (4) recognition and practice of environmental issues, (5) realization of value for sustainable development, and (6) practical thinking for ESD. And then among the six clusters, the most important cluster was recognized as 'ethics for sustainable development', and among the statements 'having an open mind to understand multiculturalism and the disabled' was considered relatively important Conclusion/Implications: Based on these results, we discussed the importance of teacher competency for ESD in early childhood, development of teacher competency scale, and preparation of a teacher education plans for each competency.

A number of case studies that find distribution of longevity population and influencing factors through the spatial data fusion using GIS techniques are growing. The majority cases of these studies are adopt census administrative boundary data for the spatial analysis. However, these methods cannot fully explain the phenomenon of longevity because there are a variety of spatial characteristics within the census administrative boundaries. Therefore, studies of spatial unit are required that realistically reflect the phenomenon of human longevity. The dasymetric mapping method enables to product of spatial unit more realistic than census administrative boundary map and statistic estimates of small area utilizing diversity spatial information. In this study, elderly population of small area has been estimated within statistically significant level that applied the vector based dasymetric mapping method. Also, the cluster analysis confirmed that the variation of local spatial relationship within census administrative boundary. The result of this study implied that the need for local-level studies of the human longevity and the validity of the dashmetric mapping techniques.

In this paper, we proposed a CLB-based CPLD technology mapping algorithm for power minimization under time constraint in combinational circuit. The main idea of our algorithm is to exploit the "cut enumeration and feasible cluster" technique to generate possible mapping solutions for the sub-circuit rooted at each node. In our technology mapping algorithm conducted a low power by calculating TD and EP of each node and decomposing them on the circuit composed of DAG. It also takes the number of input, output, and OR-term into account on condition that mapping can be done up to the base of CLB, and so it generates the feasible clusters to meet the condition of time constraint. Of the feasible clusters, we should first be mapping the one that h3s the least output for technology mapping of power minimization and choose to map the other to meet the condition of time constraint afterwards. To demonstrate the efficiency of our approach, we applied our algorithm to MCNC benchmarks and compared the results with those of the exiting algorithms. The experimental results show that our approach is shown a decrease of 46.79% compared with DDMAP and that of 24.38% for TEMPLA in the power consumption.
In this article, we discuss the notions of chain prolongation functions on locally compact spaces and get some results for the concepts. We show that chain prolongation function is a cluster map.

There have been many methods and algorithms proposed for multidimensional scaling to mapping the relationships between data objects into low dimensional space. But traditional techniques, such as PROXSCAL or ALSCAL, were found not effective for visualizing the proximities between objects and the structure of clusters of large data sets have more than 50 objects. The CLUSCAL(CLUster-oriented SCALing) technique introduced in this paper differs from them especially in that it uses cluster structure of input data set. The CLUSCAL procedure was tested and evaluated on two data sets, one is 50 authors co-citation data and the other is 85 words co-occurrence data. The results can be regarded as promising the usefulness of CLUSCAL method especially in identifying clusters on MDS maps.

FastSLAM which uses the Rao-Blackwellized particle filter is one of the famous solutions to SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) problem that estimates concurrently a robot's pose and surrounding environment. However, the particle depletion problem arises from the loss of the particle diversity in the resampling process of FastSLAM. Then, the performance of FastSLAM degenerates over the time. In this work, DIR (Density Information-based Resampling) technique is proposed to solve the particle depletion problem. First, the cluster is constructed based on the density of each particle, and the density of each cluster is computed. After that, the number of particles to be reserved in each cluster is determined using a linear method based on the distance between the highest density cluster and each cluster. Finally, the resampling process is performed by rejecting the particles which are not selected to be reserved in each cluster. The performance of the DIR proposed to solve the particle depletion problem in FastSLAM was verified in computer simulations, which significantly reduced both the RMS position error and the feature error.
