Purpose: of this survey research was to investigate the satisfaction level of clinical training for 300 students in the department of dental technology. Methods: This survey was carried out from 1th of january to 20th of january and analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences 17.0 for Windows. As for the analysis methods, the study used the frequency analysis, percentage, mean, t-test, analysis of variance, multiple regression analysis. Results: The results of multiple regression analysis between the satisfaction level and the related factors indicated that the satisfaction of major and place of clinical training in the clinical training are the major component in the male students and the satisfaction of major and a school record and clinical training experience are the major component that contribute the satisfaction level in the female students. Conclusion: Regular course of training and pre-employment training also recommends to students in the department of dental technology. Faculty and clinical dental technicians should try in order to improve satisfaction level of clinical training.
Collecting materials for study on teaching efficiency and satisfaction of clinical training, it changes. Dental technology's educational procedure to many ways of a prospect. In a circumstance that needed higher level of education, this study is aimed on realizing an importance of clinical training through the various materials that previously carried out and offering basic knowledge to take better clinical training for the students. Study results below 1. This Investigation conducted on 123 of sophomores(70.3%) and 52 of juniors(29.7%) who have been taken clinical training, and men's proportion(51.45%)is a bit higher than girls(48.6%). The 64% of respondents taken largest proportion were 20 to 24 years old. As 67.9% of respondents attended daytime school and 30.3% of them attended nighttime one, their school time shows a little difference. In a question about relation ship, one answered "Harmonious" took largest proportion by 72.6% during training, and about the degree of satisfaction of campus life who answered "normal" were the most with 59.4%. 2. About the reason choosing dental technology as a major, 41.1% taken the most answered "due to the specialized job", "Getting job easily" was second with 26.9%, and third was "recommended from around" with 18.3%. 50.3% of the respondents answered "normal" about the Satisfaction of their major, student marked in grade "B" most with 51.4% 3. In a investigation result about clinical training statues and preference, most(72.6%) choose place less than 10 for clinical training, and 60.6% of them resided own home. About their commuting time from home to training place, 44% was under 30min, 40% took time 30-60min. It shows students prefer shotter distance in terms of choosing training place. 4. Each part manager took large proportion as a clinical trainer with 33.7%, Training curriculum reform and developing method were most answer as a improvement measure after completing training with 30%. 5. The average of total score about clinical training was 3.15 of 5. In the detailed question, 'satisfaction of clinical training' got 3.38 as a highest score, the lowest score was 2.86 that is about satisfaction of clinical training period. The average score about efficiency of study was 2.86 and in detailed question, 'a Role model' got 3.26 as a highest score and participation of student got 3.05 as a lowest score. 6. The result of T-test to see the difference of the satisfaction according to the general character and clinic training condition between teaching efficiency is that the degree of satisfaction of clinical training showed statistical significance only in the degree of satisfaction of campus life(p<0.05), and teaching efficiency has a statistical significance with their age, grade, and satisfaction of campus life (p<0.05). 7. The relation between of teaching efficiency of clinical training and satisfaction of clinical training of dental technologic student has a statistical meaning in significance leveler 0.01. Now, therefore we suggest following based on these result. 1. To elevate satisfaction of clinical training, it agentry needs development of consistent clinical training curriculum. 2. To grasp the satisfaction and requirement, in needs to measure anxiousness and satisfactory degree after completing training 3. To train efficiently and evaluate efficiency over the teaching activities, it needs to develop measuring tools for teaching efficiency in terms of teacher's important rules in a clinical training. 4. Strengthen the relations with the study developing and managing curriculum gathering theoretical knowledge and practice. And make an effort to apply to their students. 5. Let the trainee take a class setting a belief, sense of value, function and obtain behavior by making the students comfort over clinical training as increasing teaching efficiency.
Purpose: This study was conducted to compare the effects of simulation-based training on knowledge, self-efficacy and clinical performance, underwent before or after the clinical practice for the nursing students. Method: A comparison group design was established with pre-clinical practice group (n=34) and post-clinical practice group (n=34). Both groups participated in simulation-based training before or after the clinical practice at the recovery room. Chi-square test, t-test and paired t-test were performed to analyze the data. Results: Both groups showed significantly higher post-test scores in knowledge and self-efficacy than pre-test scores (p<.001). The group with simulation training performed before their clinical practice (pre-clinical practice group) showed significantly higher self-efficacy (p=.044) than the group with simulation training done after their clinical practice (post-clinical practice group). However, there was no significant difference in the knowledge (p=.922) and clinical performance (p=.887). Conclusion: These findings of the study suggest that simulation based training in pre-clinical practice is effective to enhance the self-efficacy and to improve knowledge and clinical performance of the nursing students.
This study executed to offer the basis for dental technology student who chanced better clinical training. This investigation conducted on 267 of seniors who have been taken clinical training to self written a questionnaire. We used and dealt a spss 12.0 program. Study results below 1. In a question about relationship, one answered "Harmonious" took largest proportion by 40.9% during training, and about the degree of satisfaction of campus life who answered :normal: were the most with 50.0% 2. In a question about clinical training place, most(50.0%) choose place less than 10 for clinical training, and more than 10 for clinical training with 29.7%. Residue statues was most of them resided own home with 78.6%. About their commuting time from home to training place, 50.0% was under 30min, 34.1% took time 30$\sim$60min. 3. In a question about clinical trainer, most (34.4%) choose as dental lab president, as each part manager with 34.1%, a senior with 7.6% and not exist to clinical trainer with 7.6%. 4. A perfect score about teaching efficiency and satisfaction of clinical practice of dental technology students was 5. The average of score about satisfaction of clinical practice was 3.25 and circumstance of clinical training got 3.50 as a highest score. the lowest score was 2.87 that is about satisfaction of clinical training period. The average of score of teaching efficiency was 3.25. 'a Role model' got 3.55 as the highest score and 'utility for student' got 3.12 as the lowest 3.12. 5. The result of T-test to see of the satisfaction according to the general character and clinic training condition between teaching efficiency is that the degree of satisfaction of clinical training showed statistical significance only in the degree of satisfaction of college life(p<0.05), teaching efficiency has a statistical significance with age and satisfaction of college life(p<0.05). 6. The relation between of teaching efficiency of clinical training and satisfaction of clinical training of dental technologic student has a statistical relation r=0.551 and a statistical meaning in significance leveler 0.01.
Purpose: This study aimed to enhance the efficiency of clinical training education by understanding paramedic students' perceptions of their hospital clinical training experiences. Methods: The subjects were 31 third paramedic students who participated in a population survey from June 25 to August 13, 2016. A Q card and Q sample distribution chart were created, and the P sample was selected by Q classification. The collected data were analyzed by factorial analysis using PC QUANL. Results: Four different perceptions were identified from the survey, which explained 44.1% of the variables. The four types were classified as Self-improvement-oriented (Type 1), Training-site avoidant (Type 2), Confidence acquiring (Type 3), and Over-willed (Type 4). Conclusion: Paramedic instructors and clinical training managers may want to consider these four perception types when planning clinical training and education programs to improve job performance.
Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data for clinical training program development by analyzing the operating conditions and satisfaction in a clinical training program for 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs) in South Korea. Methods: Data from 84 EMTs were collected on June 19, 2014. We administered a 64-item questionnaire about operating conditions and satisfaction in the clinical training program, and analyzed data (SPSS v 21.0). Results: The degree of performance in the field, importance of the item in the field, and level of difficulty were 3.36, 4.23, and 3.21, respectively. In the number of times that an item was directly performed according to the subjects' general characteristics a statistically difference in sex (p = .000), duty (p =.021), and total working time of trainees (p = .002). The subjects' total satisfaction score was 3.77. The difference in satisfaction according to the subjects' characteristics was a statistically significant in terms of sex (p = .016) and clinical training area (p = .005). Conclusion: A more efficient training system for hospital clinical training courses should be developed. The operation condition analyzed in this research may contribute to the improvement of the performance of EMTs.
The aim of this study was to investigate the problem areas in the current clinical training of biomedical laboratory science education which may guide the development of an effective strategy for managing clinical training for biomedical laboratory science students. A self-reporting questionnaire was developed by the researchers. This survey was conducted between May 1st and May 15st in 2009 and 92 questionnaires were collected from senior biomedical laboratory science students. In Analyzing data, chi-square test was used for categorical variables. 82.6% of respondents was satisfied with conditions of the training institutes. 30~40% of the respondents reported that they were not satisfied with the programs and supervision systems for training students even though the staff members of other disciplines were supportive in general. Although 83.7% of the respondents reported that they were obtaining information and knowledge for their professional carrier through the training, 70.7% of the respondents reported that they had negative experiences during the training. According to the result of the survey, it can be inferred that the structure of the training education needs to be more systematically organized in order to train the well prepared entry-level biomedical laboratory scientists.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the 1st class and 2nd class's satisfaction with clinical skills training in the Korean medical curriculum. A questionnaire was given to clinical clerkship students of Pusan National University School of Korean Medicine. Methods: These items covered overall satisfaction with training, learning support environment, curriculum interconnection, training and guidance, and self-assessment. Results: Most 1st class and 2nd class respondents were satisfied with their learning support environment. However, satisfaction with curriculum interconnection was lower. Conclusions: The results of this study demonstrate that students have a high level of satisfaction with clinical skills training. It might be concluded that clinical skills training has been effectively implemented into the Korean medical education.
Purpose: The intention of the study is to reveal the factors that influence the safety-behavior and safety-accident of the students of dental laboratory science. We intend to use the study as a basic data of searching effective ways to heighten the safety-behavior of clinical training and to prevent safety-accident. Methods: The survey was conducted on dental technology students. The collected data was analyzed by the statistical program SPSS 21.0. The results were analyzed by reliability, frequency, t-test, correlation, multiple regression. To test for significance on each item, p<0.05 has been decided as a standard. Results: The results of the study showed that the safety of the students was influenced by the school year, the leader of clinical training, clinical training environment and the experience of safety education. The safety-accident turned out to be influenced by the school year of the student and the safety behavior. Conclusion: Active leader of clinical training, clinical training environment that enables the safety-behavior, and the offering of the systematic safety education were the most important factors to heighten the safety behavior of the students and prevent the safety-accident. These factors were expected to not only induce the safety-behavior but also prevent the safety-accident as well.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the satisfaction towards clinical training institution according to clinical practice contents in the dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 382 dental hygiene students of five colleges in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongsangnam-do from August 20 to September 30, 2013. The data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 20.0 program for t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation analysis. The questionnaire consisted of the general characteristics of the subjects and the satisfaction towards the clinical training institution. The satisfaction was composed of 44 questions including the general satisfaction, practice contents, practice guide, training time of practice, training environment, practice evaluation, and personal relationship by Likert 5 point scale. Results: The students were most satisfied with the practice contents of the dental university hospitals. The dental hospital and dental clinics were the most satisfied choice in the personal relationships. Public health center dental clinics bestowed the students with the most satisfied practice guidance, time, environment, and evaluation. Practice contents and practice time were the most influential factors to dental hygiene department satisfaction to the students. Conclusions: In order to enhance the clinical practice satisfaction, it is necessary to have the continuous relationship with the clinical training institution. The practice satisfaction is influenced by the contents and environment of the clinical training institution.
