  • The purpose of this study is to investigate engineering students' attitude toward convergence and relevance with engineering education accreditation, gender, and academic year and attitude toward convergence. To be specific, fist, we examined whether the instrument for measuring attitudes toward convergence were reliable and valid for engineering students. Second, we compared levels of attitudes toward convergence in terms of engineering education accreditation, gender and academic year. Third, latent classes, which were distinguished in terms of attitudes toward convergence, were identified. Participants were 2076 engineering students. By using factor analysis and Rasch analysis, validity and reliability of instrument measuring attitudes toward convergence were confirmed. The differences in attitude toward convergence in terms of engineering education accreditation experience, gender, and academic year were examined by independent t-test and ANOVA. There were significant differences in attitude towards convergence in terms of engineering education accreditation, gender, and academic year. Students who experience engineering education accreditation program and male and high academic year have higher levels of attitude toward convergence than others. Lastly latent class analysis (LCA) was conducted to identify subgroups underlying engineering students in terms of attitude toward convergence and five latent classes were identified. In addition, the chi-square results showed that there were significant relationships between identified latent classes and engineering education accreditation, gender, and academic year. Based on these results, engineering education considering students' characteristics and diversity in attitude toward convergence were discussed.

  • The level-based task learning had an effect on enhancing the math achievement of enrichment and ordinary classes. Besides, the analysis of mathematical attitude change showed that the level-based task learning took effect in the experimental class in every domain, including self-confidence, flexibility, will power, reaction and value, while it made little difference to the comparative class. The findings were as follows in detail. 1. The Outcome of the Achievement Test 1) The Enrichment Class In the first two tests, there were little differences in the enrichment class, But the disparity between the experimental and comparative classes became larger as this study advanced with 4.3 for the third test, 6.4 for the fourth and 6.1 for the fifth. 2) The Ordinary Class In the first to fifth achievement tests, the ordinary class made less difference than the enrichment class did. But there appeared some effect as this study progressed, since the mean grade disparity between the experimental and comparative classes was 2.1 for the first test, 3.5 for the second, 3.9 for the third, 4.4 for the fourth and 6.3 for the fifth. 3) The Supplementary Class The supplementary class showed no big difference in the first two tests. But, like the ordinary class, there was some effect with the lapse of the third 2.9 for the test, 3.2 for the fourth and 4.1 for the fifth. 2. The Change of Mathematical Attitude 1) The Experimental Class The task learning by level had a great deal of effect on the experimental class, as the pre-and post-comparative analyses showed that this class's grades were 5.1 for self-confidence, 10.8 for flexibility, 11.3 for will power, 9.7 for curiosity, 10.9 for reaction and 2.8 for value. 2) The Comparative Class The relative comparison between the comparative class and experimental class revealed that there was a hole effect on the comparative class. 3. The Outcome of Questionnaire Survey 1) They showed a positive reaction, as 40.1% of them answered the level-based task loaming served to raise their achievement, and 48.0% told so-so, and 11.9% replied they weren't helped by it. 2) The results after the experiment were;37.8% of the students say they under- stood practically everything while 12.6% of them say they under stood almost half. 3) The will to learn after the experiment shows dramatic changes between the two classes, The students in the enrichment class showed better will to learn than the students in the ordinary and supplementary classes did.

  • This study analyzes the factors that determine the attitude toward the electronic wristband(smartband) to check the position of self-quarantine subjects due to COVID-19. Furthermore, I analyze the interaction of class and age among the factors that determine attitudes toward the electronic wristband. In this study, the attitude toward self-quarantine electronic wristband is analyzed as a binary logit model, focusing on class and age. As a result of the analysis, the middle class significantly agreed with the self-quarantine electronic wristband compared to the lower class, and the older the person, the more in favor. On the other hand, the interaction between the class and the age shows that the age weakens the positive effect on the attitude of the self-quarantine electronic wristband in the middle and upper middle classes. The implication of this study is that it is necessary to push for mandatory electronic wristband in areas with high proportion of high-aged people with positive attitude toward self-quarantine electronic wristband and in the same age group, the approval rate is low, so it is necessary to promote mandatory electronic wristband in areas where the vulnerable class is dense.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of science writing heuristic class on 'seasonal change' on elementary school students' science learning motivation and scientific attitude. In order to carry out this study, 49 students from 6 grade of elementary school in P metropolitan city were selected and 24 students in one class were selected as experimental group and 25 students in the other class were selected as the comparative group. The experimental group was taught science writing heuristic in 10 times classes related to the 'seasonal change' and the general classes related to the 'seasonal change' were conducted in the comparative group. Based on the results of this study, the conclusions are as follows. First, the science writing heuristic class about 'seasonal change' showed a significant effect on elementary school students' science learning motivation for science class. This is analyzed as a result of the students being more familiar with their science class through science writing heuristic class. Second, the science writing heuristic class about 'seasonal changes' showed a significant effect on elementary school students' scientific attitude. This is because the science writing heuristic class offered elementary school students an opportunity to combine their experiences in daily life with the contents of the class. Third, students' participation, satisfaction, and interest in the science writing heuristic class applied in this study were high. Therefore, it seems to be effective if the science writing heuristic class is used for science class for elementary school students.
