OECD 국가의 양육지원 정책과 출산율 분석: 현금지원 정책, 보육시설서비스 정책, 조세혜택 정책을 중심으로 (Analysis of Childcare Support Policies and Fertility Rates of the OECD Countries: Focusing on Cash-support Policies, Child-care Facility Policies, and Tax Benefits Policies)

  • 본 연구에서는 양육지원 정책과 출산율과의 관계를 분석하기 위해 OECD 33개국의 출산율을 종속변수로 현금지원 정책, 보육시설서비스 정책, 조세혜택 정책을 독립변수로 구조방정식을 실시하였다. 연구결과 출산율에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 정책은 보육시설서비스 정책으로 나타났다. 정책비용에 따른 효과를 다시 한 번 비교해 보았을 때 현금지원 정책은 지원 비용에 따라 효과의 증감이 일관되게 나타났으나 보육시설서비스 정책은 지원비용에 따라 일관된 증감이 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과는 현금지원 정책의 효과성을 높이기 위해서는 부모의 양육부담 완화를 위한 적정 비용의 산정과 재정의 재분배 그리고 지원방법과 시기에 대한 지속적인 논의가 이루어져야하고, 보육시설서비스 정책의 효과성을 높이기 위해서는 일과 가정의 양립을 가능하게 하는 다양하고 포괄적인 질적 보육시설서비스 정책이 지속적으로 시행되어져야 한다는 것을 시사한다.

보육교사의 영유아 구강보건 지식과 교육 요구도 (A study on the knowledge and educational needs of infant oral health in childcare teachers)

  • Objectives: In this study, existing knowledge and needs of childcare teachers for developing oral health education plans for infants and young children were investigated. Methods: From March to April 2023, an online questionnaire survey led to the collection of data from 150 childcare teachers. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) revealed that importance and knowledge of oral health education, importance of oral health, and prevention of oral diseases were priority areas, and treatment, symptoms, and causes were priority areas that needed improvement . According to the IPA on the importance of and demand for oral health education support, the importance and demand for an educational plan were both high. Expert education based on educational goals, information sharing, educational environment support, evaluation system, and monitoring was low in importance but high in demand. Conclusions: Oral care habits during infancy are important for maintaining oral health throughout life. Oral care practice should be improved by developing an oral health education plan for childcare teachers to implement.

영유아 무상보육 확대정책에 따른 문제점 및 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Problems and Improvements of Free Infant Care Policy)

  • 유아교육의 중요성을 인식하고 유아에 대한 무상교육범위확대, 유아교육의 초등학교와의 연계, 유아교육 담당 체제의 일원화, 맞벌이 부부를 위한 종일제 운영의 비용인화, 저소득층 유아에 대한 정책 등 국가차원에서의 대책을 마련하고 있다. 한국의 보육정책에서 무상 맞벌이 부부가 많아지고, 핵 가족이 증가하고, 이혼률의 증가로 보육의 필요성이 증가하였다. 우리나라 보육정책은 전체적으로 보육예산의 증가추세에도 불구하고 보육시설, 양육자의 보육료 부담으로 그 효율성에 많은 문제점이 드러나고 있다. 무상보육정책에 대한 이론적 내용과 그에 따른 보육지원정책을 알아본 후 무상보육정책에 대한 개선방향을 생각해보고자 한다.

부산시 시간제 대체교사 지원사업에 대한 보육교직원의 인식 및 요구 (Recognition and Demand of Child Care Teachers for the Support Project for Part-Time Substitute Teachers in Busan)

  • Objective: This study aims to investigate the perception and demand of child care teachers regarding the support project for part-time substitute teachers in Busan. Methods: A survey was conducted on 6,141 childcare teachers participating in the Busan part-time substitute teacher support project, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. Results: First, an examination of the perception of part-time substitute teacher support projects based on the type of daycare center revealed significant differences in all aspects, except for whether they choose to reapply. Second, an analysis of the demand for part-time substitute teacher support projects, categorized by the type of daycare center, indicated significant differences. Conclusion/Implications: The findings of this study furnish valuable insights for the equitable and effective implementation of the part-time substitute teaching assistant support project, taking into account the distinct characteristics of various daycare centers. Additionally, the results offer essential foundational data to guide the strategic direction of the part-time substitute teaching assistant support project.

어린이집 교사의 배려적 사고와 의사소통능력 간의 관계 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Childcare Center Teachers' Caring Thinking and Communication Skills)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between caring thinking and communication skills of childcare center teachers, and the effect of caring thinking on communication skills. Methods: The subjects of this study were 152 teachers working at childcare centers in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The research tool used was a self-reporting questionnaire in order to examine caring thinking and the communication skills of those teachers. For the data analysis, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were used. Results: First, there were significant differences in caring thinking and communication skills according to the age and academic background of the teachers. Second, there was a significant positive correlation between caring thinking and the communication skills of the teachers. Third, responsibility, respect, and a non-directive attitude among the sub-factors of the teachers had a significant impact on communication skills. Conclusion/Implications: In this study, it was found that caring thinking of the teachers was one of the variables that improved communication skills. These results suggest that there is a need to provide various programs and support for enhancing caring thinking as one of the ways to develop the communication skills of childcare center teachers.

영아의 기질과 누적 코티솔 수준의 관계: 어린이집 이용 여부에 따른 차이 (The Relation Between Temperament and Accumulated Cortisol Levels Among Toddlers Following Childcare Use)

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine the difference in toddlers' accumulated cortisol levels based on childcare experience in toddlerhood and the relationship between temperament and accumulated cortisol levels. Methods: Hair sample were collected for measure accumulated cortisol level in 87 toddlers. The Early Childhood Behavior Questionnaire (ECBQ) was used to measure temperament. Results: First, toddlers in childcare showed higher accumulated cortisol levels than in-home toddlers. Second, toddlers in childcare, exhibited a significant correlation between accumulated cortisol levels and surgency. Third, the accumulated cortisol levels of in-home toddlers exhibited a significant correlation with negative affect. In this research, there was significant range in the accumulated cortisol level according to childcare use, and the factors related to accumulated cortisol levels were different in each context. Conclusion: The results of this research support the "susceptibility to context of HPA axis" and imply a needed discussion about the effect of childcare experiences in toddlerhood.

보육교사의 음악-수학 통합활동에 대한 인식과 실제 (Childcare Teachers' Perceptions and Practices on Integrating Music-Mathematics Activities)

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine childcare teachers' perceptions and practice of music-math integrated activities, and their understanding of these activities. Methods: This study involved 201 childcare teachers from Seoul and surrounding areas. Surveys were employed to collect data on their background, implementation of music-math integrated activities, and the challenges they encountered. Additionally, a tool was also developed and utilized to measure the actual understanding of these activities. Data were analyzed using t-tests and ANOVA. Results: The results indicated that while teachers recognize the importance of integrated activities, they seldom implement them due to challenges related to resources and comprehension of concepts. Significant differences in the understanding of these activities were found based on teachers' experience, workplace type, age group of children under their care, and education level. Conclusion/Implications: In conclusion, the findings emphasize the necessity for the development and provision of pre-service and in-service training programs, along with support in educational materials for childcare teachers. These efforts are crucial to facilitate the effective implementation of music-math integrated activities.

어린이집 원장의 멀티플라이어십이 보육교사의 교사협동과 동료지원에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Daycare Center Directors' Multipliership on Teacher Cooperation and Colleague Support of Child Care Teacher)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집 원장의 멀티플라이어십이 보육교사의 교사협동과 동료지원에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 이를 위해 두 가지 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 원장의 멀티플라이어십이 교사의 교사협동에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 둘째, 원장의 멀티플라이어십이 교사의 동료지원에 미치는 영향은 어떠한가? 어린이집 원장의 멀티플라이어십과 보육교사의 교사협동과 동료지원에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 연구대상은 S시와 G도에 소재하고 있는 어린이집에 근무하고 있는 보육교사 234명을 대상으로 하였으며, 본 연구의 자료처리방법은 SPSS 20.0 program을 사용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도, 상관관계 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 나타난 결과를 연구문제 중심으로 논의하면 다음과 같다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하여 보면, 멀티플라이어십의 하위요소인 생산적 토론 정착하기, 개인적 가치 문화조성, 구성원 결속력 높이기, 신나게 일하기는 보육교사의 교사협동과 동료지원에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 어린이집 원장은 타인에 대한 배려와 공동체적 의식을 바탕으로 교사의 강점을 인정하고, 발달시킬 수 있도록 열린 분위기를 조성하고, 구성원들의 결속력이 단단하게 해주는 멀티플라이어십을 갖고, 교사들이 스스로 기대 이상의 성과를 달성할 수 있도록 협동적이고 긍정적인 조직문화를 형성하는 데 이바지하여, 보육의 질을 향상시킨다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

맞벌이가족의 부모역할 긴장과 부부관계 (Parenting Stress and Marital Satisfaction among Dual-earner Families)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the impacts of various stressors among dual-earner families on parenting stress and marital satisfaction. Using a survey data collected from 168 dual-earner couples, this study investigated impact of various stressors, including husband division of labor, the satisfaction of childcare arrangement, husband's support on wife's outside work, family socioeconomic status, and strains from job. The finding suggested that, after controlling background variables(length of marriage, the number of children, and family income), high husbands' support on wife's outside work and low strains about their work hours had influenced on higher parenting stress among fathers, while high strains about their work hours had related to high parenting stress among mothers. It also found that high satisfaction on childcare arrangement and low depression were the factors predicting higher marital satisfaction of mothers, and high support on their wife's outside work, low work role strain, low depression, and low parenting stress had influenced on higher marital satisfaction among fathers. Discussions and recommendations for future research were added.
