실외놀이터 환경 특성과 아동 놀이행동과의 관계성 - 대전지역 어린이집의 사례분석을 중심으로 - (A Case Study on the Relationship between Children's Play Behaviors and Outdoor Play Environments of Child Care Center in Daejeon)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between outdoor play environments and child's play behaviors. The data were collected by field measurement survey, and non-participatory observation from 9 child care centers in Daejeon. The field measurement survey were conducted from June 20 to July 20, 2004, whereas non-participatory behavior observation were conducted from September 2 to October 10, 2004. The major results showed the following. 1) The characteristics of outdoor play environment in child care centers showed that most of them were too small and did not use the adequate surfacing to play various activities. In many cases, outdoor play settings was made of play equipment setting, play props and manipulative settings, and tree/vegetation. 2) Child's play behavior has been focused on functional play activity and construction play activity. 3) The relationship between outdoor play environments and child's play behaviors showed that small outside play environment with monotonous construction and multi-complex play equipments produced functional play behaviors on children. On the other hand, where various play areas were put together, we could observe relatively diverse play behaviors. However, in some cases, despite the small and monotonous play area, diverse play behaviors were observed. These playgrounds at least differed from others in that they provided the place where multi purpose play was possible. This finding shows that multi purpose play areas can be an alternative in small playground environment.

건강가정지원센터의 1인 가구 대상 프로그램 모형 개발 (Development of program models for single households in Healthy Families Support Centers)

  • This study aimed to develop program models for single households in the Healthy Families Support Centers. Data from seven female and seven male single households were collected through in-depth interviews. The major results were as follows. First, a demand for a program that both provides feeling safe and is self-caring came to the fore. Additionally, many respondents wanted to participate in programs with families. Second, the aspects of professional quality, diversity, and systematic management were mentioned as the strengths of programs in the Healthy Families Support Centers. Third, three program models were drawn up, as follows: The first model was a five-part program model like the current program settings of the Healthy Families Center. Those were sharing-caring, education, counselling, family-friendly culture, and community networking. The second model was a program for family relationships. The third was for joining programs with others. For the detailed program, a manual needs to be proposed, and the staff members who handle the programs for single households in the center will need to be retrained.

2세 영아의 어머니와 보육교사에 대한 복합 애착과 사회·정서적 행동 (Effects on Socio-Emotional Behaviors of Multiple Attachments to Mothers and Child Care Providers in 2-year-olds)

  • The socio-emotional behaviors of 2-year-olds were examined by multiple attachments to mothers and child care providers in the context of home and child care centers. Participants were 100 children (mean age: 30.2 months), their mothers, and 27 child care providers. Attachment security was assessed with attachment Q-set. Children's social interaction with peers and teachers were rated every 10 seconds during 10 minute observation periods for 4 days, totaling40 minutes per child. Mothers and child care providers completed the Infant Toddler Socio-Emotional Assessment (ITSEA). Results showed that secure attachment relationships with child care providers partly compensated for insecure attachments with mothers at home. In the context of the child care center, secure attachments with child care providers were more important determinants of the development of socio-emotional behaviors than secure attachments with mothers.

방과후 아동지도의 질적 수준과 관련 변인간의 관계에 대한 연구 (Quality of School-Age Child Care and Related Variables)

  • The present study investigated quality of school-age child care in 142 centers (42 child care centers, 54 social welfare centers, 35 local child center, and 11 elementary schools) located in Seoul. Overall, the quality of school-age child care was not up to standards : 7% were very well managed, 44.4% were well managed and 48.6% were poorly managed. Financial support from the government was the most important factor affecting the quality of school-age child care. The child care centers receiving financial support from the government showed high quality care.

  • 본 연구는 보육정책이 가진 아동 발달적 기능에 초점을 두고, 돌봄의 유형이 영아의 발달에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 했다. 구체적으로는 돌봄의 유형을 어린이집 돌봄, 가정내 양육으로 구분하고 이를 세분화하여 각 발달영역에 미치는 영향을 비교하고자 하였다. 한국아동패널 1-3차년도 자료를 활용, 발달 영역 별 중다회귀방법으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어린이집의 이용이 영아의 운동기능 및 언어, 사회성의 모든 발달영역에 미치는 영향이 모두 긍정적으로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어린이집 이용 시기에 따라서 각 발달 영역의 수준이 차이를 보였으며, 마지막으로 어린이집 인증여부는 영아의 사회성 발달 측면에서만 그 차이가 나타났다. 종합해 볼 때, 어린이집 이용이 영아의 발달 수준에 긍정적이라고 하더라도 어린이 평가인증 강화와 같은 서비스 질 제고 방안 역시 여전히 필요해 보인다.

부자가족복지시설에 대한 문화기술지 연구: 부자가족아버지의 경험을 중심으로 (An Ethnographic Study on a Welfare Facility for Single Father Families: Focusing on the Experiences of Single Fathers)

  • The present study conducted ethnography of a welfare facility for single-father families. The participants were 13 single-fathers living in a welfare facility. To explore life within the welfare facility, the qualitative research method of ethnography was used with Spradley's developmental research sequence (DRS). The major results of this study were as follows. The first theme was 'finding a way to overcome the crisis: the facility is a lifeline.' For fathers, choosing to enter a facility meant enduring a social stigma, but the decision was made with the hope of achieving successful parenting and economic independence amidst pressing difficulties. The category of living in the facility was represented by the theme 'build the family: preparing for independence through living in a welfare facility.' The fathers achieved psychological recovery through the decrease in parenting stress, improvements in their economic situation brought by living in a facility, and used this time as the foundation to gain independence and build a stable life. The event of departure from the facility was seen as 'incomplete preparation for departure' by the single fathers. The fathers with infants or younger children admitted to being anxious about leaving the facility, which involved the burden of raising the children on their own. There are practical and policy-related implications based on the results of this study.

통합미술치료가 발달장애 아동의 모-아 상호작용 증진에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Integrative Art Therapy on Interaction Promotion of Mother and Child with Developmental Disorder)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how integrative art therapy affected the interaction of children with developmental disorder with their mothers from the viewpoint of object-relation theory that accentuated mother role for the promotion of mother-child interaction, and based on earlier studies on mother-child interaction and the interaction of children with developmental disorder with their mothers. The subjects in this study are five selected children and their mothers who used B and G social welfare agencies in Gyeonggi province. They are at the age of five and six in Western age, and have difficulties interacting with their parents. When a social maturity test is conducted, their social age ranged from 2.1 to 3.9, and as Portage Test is implemented, their developmental levels of sociability, cognition and language were identical to those of younger children who were at the age of one to 3.5. The major findings of the study are as follows. First, the children who suffered from developmental disorder and participated in this study showed a positive change in their interaction with their mothers. Second, as for connections between each session and mother-child interaction, most of them came to interact with their mothers better as the program came to an end.

천안지역 방과후아동지도시설 실태 및 발전방안 (A study on the present status and development direction of after-school facilities in Cheonan)

  • This study aims to identify children's after-school facilities in Cheonan, to evaluate their programs, and to further suggest desirable directions of those programs. During this study, we found that the facilities in Cheonan are much less in numbers and no better than we expected. Especially, it is shown that most of the study rooms there are evaluated as relatively the worst facilities in terms of space organization, health care and safety, daily schedule and management, and program evaluation process. In conclusion, this study proposes that such facilities should be greatly expanded and improved in the program development as well as in the working environment. We also propose to newly establish a regional center which supports and certifies educational programs of each after-school facility.

보육시설장의 변혁적 리더십이 보육교사의 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Child Care Center Director's Transformational Leadership on the Organizational Commitment of the Child Care Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the child care center director's transformational leadership on the organizational committment of the child care teachers. The research subjects were 292 child care teachers who worked in 43 facilities of the eastern part of Jeon Nam Province. The data analysis was performed by using SPSS Win 15.0 Program. The results of this study were as follows. First, the teachers rated the transformational leadership of the director as 2.39 points in a scale of 5 points which was recognized as a normal level. Among the transformational leadership categories, the category of vision setting was the highest and the category of setting an example was the lowest. Second, the level of organizational committment of the teachers is rated 3.70 points in a scale of 5 points. Among the organizational commitment categories, the category of normative committment was the highest and followed by the category of affective and continuance commitment. More transformational leadership was related to more organizational commitment from teachers.

  • 최근 세계 각국 아동복지분야에서 가족의사결정개입프로그램이 활발하게 운영되고 있다. 가족의사결정모델은 학대받는 아동을 보호하는 과정에서 가족문제중심, 치료적 개입방식, 전문가가 이끌어가는 의사결정방법에 대한 반성과 이를 위한 대안으로 가족강점과 가족임파워먼트, 가족친밀성 회복을 강조한 실천모델이다. 가족의사결정개입방법은 뉴질랜드에서 개발되어 세계 300여 개 지역에서 성공적으로 실시되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 아동보호체계 안에 가족의 참여를 통한 가족의사결정개입제도를 적용할 수 있는지에 대한 가능성을 고찰하였다. 이를 위해 가족의사결정모델의 실천 철학적 가치, 국외 가족의사결정프로그램의 현황 및 처음으로 법제도로 실시한 뉴질랜드 패밀리그룹컨퍼런스 제도를 살펴보았다. 또한 아동보호 실천에서 가족의사결정모델의 한국 적용가능성에 대한 논의로 실천철학적 측면, 문화적 측면, 실행시 수반되어져야 할 가족참여방법과 담당기관 및 지역아동네트워크개발의 측면을 제시하였다.
