숲유치원에서의 유아의 경험 세계 (Childrens' Experience in the Forest Kindergarten)

  • 본 연구는 숲유치원에서의 유아의 경험 세계를 살펴보고 그 안에 내재된 유아교육적 함의를 도출하고자 하였다. 더불어 이를 통해 앞으로 숲유치원이 나아가야 할 긍정적 방향성을 모색할 수 있는 기초자료로 삼고자 하였다. 자료 수집은 2012년 3월 넷째 주부터 2012년 11월 셋째 주까지 참여관찰, 면담, 문서 수집, 사진과 비디오 촬영을 통해 이루어졌다. 연구참여자는 부산시 H유치원 만5세반 24명의 유아와 유아들의 어머니 7인, 원장과 담당교사 2인, 숲해설가 2인이다. 연구자는 본 연구의 목적을 실현하기 위해 현상학적 질적 연구 방법을 통해 본 연구의 현장인 숲유치원의 상황적인 맥락을 고려하며 유아들을 관찰하였다. 연구결과 숲유치원에서의 유아들의 경험 세계를 본성의 장, 심미의 장, 참 놀이의 장으로 나타낼 수 있었다. 이를 통해 숲유치원이 유아들에게 타고난 본성을 드러내어 아름다움을 느끼고 참 놀이에 깊이 몰입할 수 있는 공간으로서 의미를 지니고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

북한이탈주민 어머니의 유아기 자녀 영어교육 실태와 어려움 (Realities and Difficulties of English Education for Young Children of North Korean Refugee Mothers)

  • 본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 북한이탈주민 어머니의 영어교육에 대한 실태와 어려움을 알아보는 것이 목적이다. 연구대상은 유아기 자녀를 둔 북한이탈주민 201명이며, 영어교육의 실태에 대한 설문지와 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 대부분의 북한이탈주민 어머니는 자녀에게 영어교육을 실시하고 있었으며, 만 3세 이전에 영어교육을 시작하는 경우가 많았다. 영어교육을 시키는 가장 주된 이유는 같은 또래들이 영어교육을 받고 있기 때문인 경우가 많았다. 자녀의 영어교육을 위한 도움제공은 10분 미만이 가장 많았고, 유아 혼자 복습을 하게하거나, 숙제를 강조하는 경우가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 북한이탈주민 어머니들이 자녀에게 영어교육을 시킬 때의 어려움은 비용부담, 정보부족, 영어교육을 시킬 시간부족, 불만족스러운 영어교육 순으로 나타났다. 자녀의 한 달 영어교육비용은 3만원 미만이라는 응답이 가장 많았으며, 영어교육을 위한 지출은 가계에 부담이 된다는 응답이 많았다.

초등학교 아동이 지각한 6학년 학업성취에 대한 4학년 학업성취의 예측: 5학년 자아존중감 및 학습행동조절의 순차적 매개효과 (The Prediction of Academic Achievement at 6th Grade from Perceived Academic Achievement at 4th Grade: Serial Multiple Mediation of Self-esteem and Self-control in Learning at 5th Grade)

  • Objective: The current study aimed at examining the mediation effects of children's self-esteem and self-control in learning between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and $6^{th}$ grade. This article proposes that perceived academic achievement boosts self-esteem and self-control in learning and both in turn, influence subsequent perceived academic achievement. We especially attempted to empirically prove that a serial multiple mediation of self-esteem and self-control in learning between the perceived academic achievement at two time points exists. Methods: We analyzed the longitudinal data of 1,881 children from the $4^{th}$ to the $6^{th}$ wave data of the '2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS)' by means of a Hayes's PROCESS(2012) program. Results: The results revealed that perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade influenced children's self-esteem and self-control in learning at $5^{th}$ grade. Children' self-esteem and self-control in learning subsequently predicted perceived academic achievement at $6^{th}$ grade. Children's self-esteem significantly predicted self-control in learning supporting the hypothesis of serial multiple mediation. Conclusion/Implications: In conclusion, children's self-esteem and self-control in learning behaviors both mediated the association between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and at $6^{th}$ grade. The findings imply the importance of consideration of both psychosocial and behavioral aspects in understanding the academic performance during childhood.

가족정책 전달체계 전담인력의 역량강화를 위한 교육방안 모색을 위한 기초 연구 (A Study on the Education Plan for Empowerment of Healthy Family Specialists in the Family Policy Delivery System)

  • The number of Healthy Family Support Centers has dramatically increased and the services for healthy families such as family education, family counsel, family culture and family care have increased during the past ten years since the Framework Act on Healthy Families was enacted. This growth is largely credited to Healthy Family Specialists. At a time when the family policy delivery system is changing, it is most urgent to enhance the capability of Healthy Family Specialists. In this study, we aim to investigate the current capability of Healthy Family Specialists and suggest the education plan for their empowerment. We collected data from 151 Healthy Family Support Centers by mail and e-mail in June 2014. There were total of 1,001 subjects for analysis(781 by mail and 220 by e-mail). We analyzed the capabilities of Healthy Family Specialist by service areas according to work-related characteristics and possession of a license. Our findings revealed that the capabilities of Healthy Family Specialist varied depending on the service year and whether or not having a licence. These results suggest that the education program for empowerment will provide a differentiated content according to the service year and whether or not having a license. This study contributes to a better understanding of Healthy Family Specialists' current capability and provides insights on how to enhance their capability in order to change the family policy delivery system.

초임 유아교사들이 구성한 창의적인 유아와 창의적인 교사에 대한 의미 (The Meaning of Teaching for Children's Creativity and Teaching Creatively from Novice Early Childhood Teachers' Perspectives)

  • 본 연구는 2명의 초임 유아교사들이 창의성 교육 프로그램을 실행하면서 이들이 구성한 창의적인 유아와 창의적인 교사의 의미를 살펴보았다. 참여한 초임 유아 교사는 각 각 4년제 유아교육학과를 졸업하고, 교사가 된 지 1년, 2년째 되는 초임 유아 교사들이다. 이들은 기관에서 실행한 창의성에 대한 교사교육을 4주 동안 받은 후, 창의성 교육 프로그램을 16주 동안 실행하였다. 창의성 교육 프로그램을 실행하기 전, 함께 교육 프로그램 내용을 논의하고, 각자 반에서 실행을 하고 난 후, 매 주 모여서 함께 평가를 하기도 하고, 때로는 비디오를 보고 자기 평가를 하거나 반성적 저널을 썼다. 본 연구의 자료는 두 명의 교사가 쓴 반성적 저널, 개인 인터뷰, 교육계획안 등 다양한 자료를 수집하였고, 이러한 자료를 토대로 질적 분석을 하였다. 그 결과 초임 유아 교사들이 구성한 창의적인 유아는 남과 다른 생각이나 행동을 시도하며, '지금 현재'의 놀이에 몰입하는 유아라고 인식하였다. 창의적인 수업을 하는 교사는 과제 중심의 사고에서 벗어나서 창의적인 융통성을 갖고, 실천하는 교사라고 인식하였다.

산모의 모유수유 적응과 모유 내 면역물질에 영향을 미치는 심리사회적 요인 (Maternal Psychosocial Factors that Affect Breastfeeding Adaptation and Immune Substances in Human Milk)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify relationships of maternal psychosocial factors including mother's mood state, childcare stress, social support and sleep satisfaction with breastfeeding adaptation and immune substances in breast milk, especially secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) and transforming growth factor-beta 2 (TGF-${\beta}2$). Methods: Data were collected from 84 mothers who delivered full-term infants by natural childbirth. Structured questionnaires and breast milk were collected at 2~4 days and 6 weeks postpartum. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, multiple linear regression, and generalized estimating equation (GEE). Results: Scores for the breastfeeding adaptation scale were significantly related with child care stress, mood state and social support. Mother's anger was positively correlated with the level of sIgA in colostrum (p<.01). Immune substances of breastmilk was significantly influenced by time for milk collection (p<.001) and the type of breastfeeding (sIgA, p<.001, TGF-${\beta}2$, p=.003). Regression analysis showed that breastfeeding adaptation could be explained 59.1% by the type of breastfeeding, childcare stress, the Profile of Mood States, emotional support and sleep quality (F=16.67, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings from this study provide important concepts of breastfeeding adaptation program and explanation of psychosocial factors by immune substances in breast milk. Future research, specially, bio-maker research on breast milk should focus on the ways to improve breastfeeding adaptation.

Factors associated with the decision to undergo risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy among women at high risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer: a systematic review

  • Purpose: This systematic review aims to identify factors associated with risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy (RRSO), including the uptake rate and decision timing, among women at high risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC). Methods: We found 4,935 relevant studies using MEDLINE, Embase, CINAHL, and PsycINFO on July 6, 2020. Two authors screened the articles and extracted data. Twenty-four studies met the inclusion criteria. Quality assessment of articles was conducted using the Risk of Bias for Nonrandomized Studies tool. Results: Five types of factors were identified (demographic factors, clinical factors, family history of cancer, psychological factors, and objective cancer risk). The specific significant factors were older age, having child(ren), being a BRCA1/2 carrier, mastectomy history, perceived risk for ovarian cancer, and perceived advantages of RRSO, whereas objective cancer risk was not significant. The uptake rate of RRSO was 23.4% to 87.2% (mean, 45.2%) among high-risk women for HBOC. The mean time to decide whether to undergo RRSO after BRCA testing was 4 to 34 months. Conclusion: RRSO decisions are affected by demographic, clinical, and psychological factors, rather than objective cancer risk. Nonetheless, women seeking RRSO should be offered information about objective cancer risk. Even though decision-making for RRSO is a complex and multifaceted process, the psychosocial factors that may influence decisions have not been comprehensively examined, including family attitudes toward RRSO, cultural norms, social values, and health care providers' attitudes.

초등 저학년 자녀를 둔 어머니의 2-3학년 시기 양육역량 변화유형과 예측요인: 자기체계역량, 학교생활 파악수준, 담임교사 상담횟수 및 사회관계망 변화를 중심으로 (The Types of Change in Mothers' Parenting Competency During Their Children's 2nd to 3rd Grades of Primary School and Their Predictive Factors: Focusing on the Changes in Self-System Competency, Level of Understanding of School Life, Number of Counseling Sessions, and Social Networking)

  • Objective: This study aimed to analyze the changes and predictive factors of mothers' parenting competencies during their children's second to third grades in primary school. Methods: We used the data from the Panel study of Korean Parental Educational Involvement. We classified 373 mothers into three groups, 'reduced' parenting competency, 'maintained' parenting competency, and 'increased' parenting competency, and conducted one-way variance analysis and multinomial logistic regression analysis. Results: First, the mothers' parenting competency decreased between their children's 2nd year and 3rd year in primary school. Second, the 'reduced', 'maintained', and 'increased' groups differed from each other in the degree of change in self-system competency, level of understanding of school life, number of counseling sessions with homeroom teachers, and social networking. Third, the degree of change in self-system competency and social networking predicted the increase in mothers' parenting competency. The degree of change in self-system competency and the level of understanding of school life predicted the maintenance of mothers' parenting competency. Conclusion/Implications: This study, for the first time, has revealed the change in mothers' parenting competency and its predictive factors after the second year in primary school. How to support the growth of mothers' parenting competency was also discussed.

계획된 간호 중재가 미숙아 어머니의 스트레스, 모성 역할 긴장과 역할 수행에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Planned Nursing Intervention on the Stress, the Maternal Role Strain, and the Maternal Role Performance of Mothers of Premature Infants)

  • The birth of a premature infant is distressing for its parents. The parents of a premature infant experience stress according to the infant's physical appearance and behavior, the environment of the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) , and the alteration in the parental role. Especially, a mother of a premature infant feels distressed even after the discharge of the infant : therefore, she has difficulties in maternal role performance. The main purpose of this study is to identify the effects of the planned infant care information program in order to lower the stress level for mothers of premature infants caused by the birth and hospitalization in NICU of premature infants, to reduce the maternal role strain, and to promote the maternal role performance after the infants' discharge. This study employed two methods of research at the same time : quasi -experimental non-equivalent pre and post test to compare : non-equivalent post test to compare. The total number of subjects was 19 who were assigned to the research program : 12 mothers of premature infants at the NICU at the Ch university hospital and 7 at the NICU at the Y general hospital located in Chounju city. The data were collected for 79 days from August 18 to November 5, 1998. The questionnaire method was applied for the data collection, and the measures used in this study were Parental Stressor Scale : NICU(Miles, 1993), the Maternal Role Strain Measures ( Hobbs, 1968 ; Steffensmeier, 1982) , and Self Confidence Scale (Pharis, 1978). Research procedure is as follows : after preliminary examination, the experimental subjects, the mothers of premature infants at the Nl CU at Ch university hospital were provided with slide films and information developed by the researcher based on existing documents and data. It took two 60-minute sessions a week for two weeks, and the mothers' stress level was measured using the same instrument twice one week and two week after the infants' hospitalization. The stress level of the contrast subjects, the mothers at Y general hospital was measured during the same period. The experimental subjects were provided with booklets on matters that require attention after the infants' discharge and on developmental project, and they were educated to play the maternal role in person for 2-3 hours a week : breast-feeding, burping a baby, and changing diapers. One week after the infants' discharge, the maternal role strain and the maternal role performance were examined in two groups of the subjects. The analysis of collected data was done using descriptive statistics including real numbers, percentages, averages, and standard deviations. Mann-Whitney test ; x² test ; Repeated Measures Analysis of Variance ; ANCOVA Spearman's rho correlation coefficients. The results on this study were as follows. (1) The examination of the same quality showed that there were no differences in the general and obstetrical characters between the two groups. However, in terms of the characters of premature infants. just right after their birth, the infants at the contrast group weighed more than those at the experimental group(U=16.5, p=.02), and the former was in mother's womb longer than the latter(U=15.5, p=.02). (2) The stress level of the mothers provided with the plannned nursing intervention program became lower as time passed compared to the others'(F=16.61, p=.00) Even when the influence of weight at birth and the length of gestation was removed among the premature infants' characters, the mothers' stress levels made a statistical difference 2 weeks after the infants' hospitalization depending on treatment (F=8.00, p=.01) (3) The maternal role strain of the mothers provided with the planned nursing intervention program was lower than the others'(U=2.0, p=.00). Even when the influence of weight at birth and the length of gestation was removed among the premature infants' characters, the maternal role strain levels made a statistical difference 2 weeks after the infants' hospitalization, depending on treatment(F=14.72, p=.00). (4) The maternal role performance level of the mothers provided with the planned nursing program was higher than the others'(U=.0, p=.00). Even when the influence of weight at birth and the length of gestation was removed among the premature infants' characters, the mothers' stress levels made a statistical difference 2 weeks after the infants' hospitalization, depending on treatment(F=8.00, p=.01). (5) The correlation between a mother's stress level 2 weeks after her infant's hospitalization, the maternal role strain and the maternal role performance were compared : the stress and the maternal role strain were statistically irrelevant to each other(r=.33, p=.12) : the stress was found to be in inverse proportion to the maternal role performance(r=-.53, p=.02). The maternal role strain was in inverse proportion to the maternal role performance as well(r=-.50, p=.00). In conclusion, for the mothers provided with the planned nursing intervention program, their stress level was getting lower as time passed during the infants' hospitalization, their maternal role strain reduced when they took care of their infants after their discharge, and their maternal role performance level was high compared to the other mothers. Besides, the lower the stress level of mothers of premature infants was during the infants' hospitalization, the higher the maternal role performance after their discharge was. The lower maternal role strain was, the higher the maternal role performance was as well. These results of the study suggested that the nursing intervention program for the mothers of premature infants developed by the researcher would be effectively applied to nursing practice, and it would be a foundation for the development of this kind of program.

신경계 작업치료사의 평가도구 사용 현황 및 향후 방향 (Current Trends and Future-Oriented View of Clinical Measurement Used by Neurological Occupational Therapist)

  • 작업치료사의 환자중심훈련(patient-centered practice)은 치료사에게 환자와 그 가족의 관점에서 능동적으로 환자의 기능부전을 찾아야 가능하다. 본 연구는 신경계 작업치료사가 검사 및 평가를 실시하기 위하여 현재 임상에서 사용하는 평가도구의 사용빈도 및 평가도구 선택시 고려사항을 알아보고, 평가에 관한 향후 방향을 제시하기 위함이었다. 연구대상자는 신경계 질환자를 대상으로 치료하는 서울 경기지역에 근무하는 작업치료사 66명이었다. 설문지는 연구대상자의 일반적인 특성, 평가관련 정보, 신경계 작업치료사가 사용하는 평가도구의 내용, 성인 평가도구 및 아동평가도구에 관한 내용으로 구성되었다. 결과분석은 설문에 응답한 66명의 자료를 대상으로 기술적 통계량을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 1일 환자 수는 10인 이상 15인 미만이 가장 많았으며, 초기평가는 20분 이상 40분 미만이 가장 많았고, 환자 재평가 주기는 1개월과 기능적 차이가 보일 때가 가장 많았다. 평가도구는 신경계 관련 도구에만 국한되지 않았으며, 평가도구 선택시 고려사항은 평가도구의 신뢰도와 타당도가 가장 높았다. 성인을 대상으로 사용한 평가도구는 '상지운동기능'은 JHFT, '인지 및 지각'은 MMSE-K, '일상생활동작'은 MBI, '작업수행'은 COPM이 가장 많았다. 또한 아동을 대상으로 한 평가도구는 '인지-지각 평가도구'는 MVPT, '일상생활동작 평가도구'는 Wee-FIM이 가장 많았다. 마지막으로 영역에 따른 평가도구 선택시 고려사항도 평가도구의 신뢰도와 타당도가 가장 높았다. 본 연구결과를 통하여 서울.경기지역에 근무하는 신경계 작업치료사의 영역별 평가도구의 사용빈도와 그 평가도구를 선택할 때 고려하는 사항을 알아볼 수 있었고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 향후 신경계 작업치료사가 평가를 수행할 때 환자수행중심 평가뿐만 아니라 환자와 보호자의 관점을 통합하여 치료계획을 수립할 필요성이 있다고 제언하는 바이다.
