An attempt is made to characterize and synthesize engineered surfaces. The proposed method is not only an analytical tool to characterize but alsoto generate/synthesize three-dimensional surfaces. The developed method expresses important engineered surface characteristics such as the autocorrelation or pwoer spectrum density functions in terms of the two-dimensional autoregressive coefficients.

Events that occur within a high 'resolution' combat model often need to be characterized and structured for representation in other models or for detailed analysis purposes. This paper attempts to characterize one of these events, helicopter deaths. The data analyzed for this paper were generated by a high resolution production simulation system, CARMONETTE. The thesis objective is to develop a model to characterize the event of interest, and check the fit of the developed model using a second set of data. The exponential model developed provides not only excellent characterization of Blue helicopter attrition but also sufficient confidence in our results for the purpose of aggregated combat simulation.

In this work, we characterize some matrix classes concerning the Binomial sequence spaces b^r,s_∞ and b^r,s_p, where 1 ≤ p < ∞. Moreover, by using the notion of Hausdorff measure of noncompactness, we characterize the class of compact matrix operators from b^r,s₀, b^r,s_c and b^r,s_∞ into c₀, c and ℓ_∞, respectively.

The Berezin transform is the analogue of the Poisson transform in the Bergman spaces. Dyakonov characterize the holomorphic weighted Lipschitz function in the unit disk in terms of the Possion integral. In this paper, we characterize the harmonic weighted Lispchitz function in terms of the Berezin transform instead of the Poisson integral.

In this paper, the fluidization characteristics of the magnesia fluidized bed and the heat transfer characteristics with the specimen (SM55C) plunged in the bed have been investigated. To characterize the fluidization, the minimum fluidizing velocities and the relation ships between bed voidage and fluidization rate and obtained. To characterize heat transfer, the experiments for finding heating time transfer effect have been carried out by varying the magnesia particles sizes. optimum heating condition in the magnesia fluidized bed is obtained.

We characterize a fuzzy partial order relation using its level set, find sufficient conditions for the image of a fuzzy partial order relation to be a fuzzy partial order relation, and find sufficient conditions for the inverse image of a fuzzy partial order relation to be a fuzzy partial order relation. Also we define a fuzzy lattice as fuzzy relations, characterize a fuzzy lattice using its level set, show that a fuzzy totally ordered set is a distributive fuzzy lattice, and show that the direct product of two fuzzy lattices is a fuzzy lattice.

We define and characterize a fuzzy pairwise $\gamma$-irresolute open mapping (fuzzy pairwise $\gamma$-irresolute closed mapping) on a fuzzy bitopological space. We also characterize a fuzzy pairwise $\gamma$-irresolute homeomorphism on a fuzzy bitopological space.
