  • THe dynamic characteristics of car are determined by ride quality and control stability. These characteristics are maintained by suspension, which is composed of springs, dampers and links. The values of these parameters are very important factor to determine the dynamic characteristic. Until now, most of company depends on trial-and-error method and driving test to solve this problem. But these methods are consumed many costs and time in developing process. In this paper,to minimize these difficulties,the proper model will be developed and analyzed the sensitivity of suspension parameter in time domain. On this ground, find the design parameter that have a dominant infuence on system response and estimate the change of system response values.

  • Springback after draw and flange is the critical factor affecting the product quality. It is very difficult to predict the amount of springback not only because of complex geometry and material characteristics of the stamping product, but because the methodology has not been established. In this study, springback mechanism is introduced, and experimental tryout an automobile panel is carried out for die design of automotive hood panel. Further, introduce adapting design and field springback was verified by trial experimental with the measured tryout result. Finally, introduced about general method in order to predict springback in computer simulation.

  • When the vibration troubles occur on the ship structure during the sea trial, the rectification work is very restricted because of in-situ limitation. Usually, the finite element method is used to improve vibration characteristics of the structure, but it takes lots of time and effort in modeling the structure and adjusting the finite element model in order to consider appropriate boundary conditions of a complex ship structure. Therefore, experimental methods have been in general suggested to obtain proper countermeasures without time-consuming in modeling. In this paper, FRE(frequency response function) synthesis method is applied to estimate natural frequency of the modified ship structure, which is obtained from experimental and numerical methods.

  • The linear motion(LM) guide using ball bearing has many advantages compared with conventional sliding guides. Therefore, LM guide using ball bearing has been widely used to increase the accuracy of the position of a system. This research investigates dynamic characteristics of LM guide through mainly linear analyses. Linear analysis is accomplished by Lagrange equation and the finite element method. And another trial that performs nonlinear analysis about one mode(bouncing mode) of LM guide from Hertzian contact theory is accomplished in the latter half of this research. Through nonlinear analysis we could observe the softening characteristic due to the Hertzian contact nonlinearity.

  • In the case of need for reciprocating motion, the study for application of Linear Oscillating Actuator(LOA) is being accomplished. LOA is the simpler and more efficient than other linear apparatus using the rotary motor because LOA produce the thrust force without any converter such as cam, clutch, rack, pinion and belt, etc. We designed the flat moving core type LOA and manufactured for trial. This paper shows the structure and dynamic characteristics of LOA.

  • In this paper, there have been brief review about the important consideration in laboratory planning and construction of the artificial pollution testing facilities including 300 kV, 1800 kVA AC test system, which enable to lest and evaluate the UHV dielectric performance of power insulators up to transmission class. Also it is described simply about its trial running of the whole test system. To evaluate the performance characteristics against contamination for various power installation, especially for the insulators and kinds of bushings, brief investigation and an analysis of test objects and related international codes and standards have been conducted.

  • Photovoltaic and wind power generation have an advantage of unlimited and unpolluted amount of energy resource. In conventional wind generation systems, since the blade rotates at low speed when the velocity of wind decreases their operations are possible only under limited conditions. Therefore they are in trouble of self-generation without the help of auxiliary generation devices outside. The system driven by the wind force in this paper consists of a generator, an invertor, batteries and sets for power storage with a spring. In this paper, the operation characteristics of system were analyzed through experiments for a trial product.

Design for Cam Curve of a Oil Hydraulic Vane Pump for Vehicles′ Power Steering System (자동차 PS용 베인펌프의 캠곡선 설계)

  • The cam curve of a balance type vane pump consists usually of circular arcs and Archimedes' spirals. However, if they are connected directly together, the curve must have a few discontinuous points of the gradients and the motion of the vanes is no longer smooth. Designing data for an oil hydraulic vane pump used in power steering system were obtained by the acquisition of optimum cam profile data which can be available to reduce noises and vibrations through the minimization of cavitation with the improvement of suctional performance. The performance test is carried on the trial manufactures by measuring the volumetric and the mechanical efficiency. And from that result, maintaining the same characteristic as the conventional one in the relief pressure and noise level, the experimental pump discharges 0.7 $\ell$/min and shows nearly 3.5% enhancement in the total efficiency more than the conventional one.
