전자기 진동을 이용한 Al-Si 합금의 조직 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Controlling of Al-Si Alloy by Using Electromagnetic Vibration)

  • 여러 전자기 재료 프로세싱 연구 중에서 연구 되어지지 않았던 Al-Si 합금의 조직제어를 직류 자기장과 교류 전류장을 사용하여 시도 하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 Al-Si 합금에서의 새로운 거시, 미시 조직제어를 하기 위해 사용된 전자기 진동의 영향을 조사하는 것이다. 전자기 진동이 초정 알루미늄의 형상 변화를 위해 낮은 진동수 (>60Hz)로 주어질 경우, 수지상의 형상이 구상화 형상으로 변해갔다. 전자기 진동이 공정 실리콘 형상 변화를 위해 주어졌을 경우, 높은 진동수 (>500Hz)에서 조대한 판상 조직이던 실리콘이 미세한 섬유상 조직으로 변화하고, 기계적 성질도 우수해졌다.

  • In this paper, a feedline which is a shape of a fork is designed to improve a bandwidth of the microstrip slot antenna. To determine design parameters of the feedline, the characteristics of the microstrip slot antenna is analyzed by changing design parameters of the feedline. The microstrip slot antenna with the feedline of a shape of a fork has a wide band, from 1.7 GHz to 6.1 GHz for VSWR $\leq$2.

눈썹 메이크업 표현(表現)에 응용(應用)되는 선(線)의 착시(錯視) 효과(效果) (The Optical Illusion Effect of Line Applied to Eyebrow Make-up)

  • This chapter presents how 'optical illusion' works in applying makeup and how to differentiate the direction, location and shape at eyebrow lines in the aspect at physiognomy. For this study, employed were five types of face shape produced by Photoshop program - round, square, long, inverted triangle. and diamond. The best-matched facial shape was examined through a questionnaire research after applying the optical illusion of eyebrow lines to the five types of face shape. The results were revealed to be identical to ones presented in make-up teaching materials. In conclusion, it was found that well-matched shape and size of eyebrow could make some changes in the facial impression, changing the face shape into oval shape. The facial line can be modified and supplemented by reshaping such facial parts as the eyebrow, producing well-balanced facial shape. Consequently, make-up was proved to be one of the methods which can be used to create social and psychological effect which can make a favorable facial impression and individuality, natural impression and image making depending on different purposes, taking advantage of optical illusion effect.

  • A face is the place where individuals can first give their images visually. This chapter presents how 'Visual optical illusion' works in applying makeup and how to differentiate the direction, location and shape of Lip in the aspect of physiognomy.   • An ultra light quad-rotor is utilized in various areas for military and commercial purpose. Especially, the airframe shape is designed with various airframe size, weight and purpose. In this paper, the initial airframe shape of the quad-rotor was designed and manufactured. Flight test was conducted for the quad-rotor. The design modification of airframe shape was conducted to meet design requirement. By changing design, weight of airframe structure was reduced and payloads were placed to the best position. By reinforcing ribs and reducing vehicle's legs, the durability of airframe structure was enhanced.

  • This paper considers the design of step-stress accelerated life tests for the Weibull distribution with a nonconstant shape parameter under Type I censoring. It is assumed that scale and shape parameters are log-linear functions of (possibly transformed) stress and that a cumulative exposure model holds for the effect of changing stress. The asymptotic variance of the maximum likelihood estimator of a stated quantile at design stress is used as an optimality criterion. The optimum three step-stress plans are presented for selected values of design parameters and the effects of errors in pre- estimates of the design parameters are investigated.

  • This study presents the design of small size turbo-compressor to increase the performance using computational fluid analysis. A three dimensional computation was conducted changing the main parameters of impeller blade and diffuser shape, respectively, and the design was performed on a basis analysis of result of that. As a result, the Improved shapes show the increase of efficiency in comparison with the existing shape. This study will be used as useful reference data to establish the design concept of the small size turbo-compressor and to improve its performance.

특이 접촉응력 문제의 형상 최적화 (Geometric Optimization Involving Contact Stress Singularities)

  • The stress singularity of a sharp wedge contacting a half plane can be avoided by changing the wedge shape. Shape optimization is accomplished with the geometric strain method (GSM), an optimality criterion method. Several numerical examples are provided for different materials in the wedge and half plane to avoid stress singularity neal the sharp corner of the wedge. Optimum wedge shapes are obtained and critical corner angles are compared with the angles from analytical contact mechanics. Numerical results are well matched to analytical and experimental results. It is shown that shape optimization by the geometric strain method is a useful tool to reshape the wedge and to avoid a stress singulatiry. The method applies to more general geometries where the singular behavior would be difficult to avoid by classical means.

SHAPE MEMORY THIN FILM OF TITANIUM-NICKEL FOR MICROACTUATOR FORMED BY SPUTTERING

  • Thin films of Ti-Ni alloy were formed by sputtering under various Ar gas pressures and r. f. powers to investigate the optimum sputtering conditions and to demonstrate their shape memory effect. The composition and structure of the films were examined by electron micro-probe analysis and scanning electron microscope. These films were annealed in order to crystallize them. The mechanical property of the annealed films was evaluated by a conventional bending test. The transformation tmeperatures were determined by differential scanning calorimetry. The shape memory behaviour was examined quantiatatively by changing in sample temperature under various constant loads. It was found that the Ar gas pressure had a critical effect on the mechanical property of the thin film,s although the r.f. power also affected it. The films formed at a high Ar gas pressure were too brittle to be bent successfully. However, the films formed at a low Ar gas pressur could be bent and their shape memory behavior was found to be comparable with that of bulk Ti-Ni alloys.

3D 프린팅시스템과 CAM시스템을 활용한 금형가공에 관한 연구 (Research on Die Machining using 3D Printing and CAM System)

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate optimum machining conditions to improve the quality of die using the CAD/CAM system(Power Shape/Power Mill) and 3D printing. Surface roughness is widely used as an index for processing degree of accuracy. The Power Shape was used to model the shape of product. And the model shape is confirmed by 3D printing system(BFB-3000). Also, tool path and NC-codes were generated using Power Mill. Finally, the product was cut using CNC machine(NBS-2025). The cutting time and surface roughness were measured by measuring instrument. And then this process was repeated by changing the conditions to find optimal machining conditions. The surface roughness behavior with regard to specific factors were analyzed. Through this study, the optimal machining condition can be obtained.
